By far the best pies on Long Island. A huge selection of pies and also a farm stand in the front. The place also has local jams and all that Mason jar stuff. Must try if in the area.

Open Seven Days a Week Year Round. Located directly next to the Hyatt Place East End Hotel and Atlantis Long Island Aquarium! Just minutes from Tanger Outlets and a short drive to the Hamptons or LI wine country. Arrive by car or by boat using one of Jerry's complimentary docking slips!
We come out to Riverhead often and always stay at the Hyatt next door. This is absolutely our favorite restaurant here for several reasons. First the food is fresh and delicious. Try the mussels in either sauce, the panko flounder, waffle fries, and most definitely the peanut butter chocolate pie.
Also the service is spectacular. We’ve been here many times over the past 8 years and have always been blown away by Chef Jerry and his staff. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews here. They go out of their way to please the customer. We had a minor issue with a dish and we were offered a million ways to rectify the problem.
We love this place so much we once came here for lunch, dinner, and lunch again on a weekend vacation!

A great stop for a quick cup of coffee with several pastry snacks, including the most amazing pecan and raisin scones. When it"s warm you can sit outside, or stay at on of several small tables inside. The service is fast and there's always a smil and a kind word by those working there. They also have a jar of dog biscuits should your canine companion be waiting for you outside.

Excellent Little Place - Overlooks The Peconic River - Casual
Real review, I live local was meeting a friend for lunch in Riverhead. Went to tripadvisor and read reviews and thought this place looked right up our alley. If you can find it, that is the first challenge as its an old house not alot of sinage so if ur gps says there it is...its there, parking a bit difficult in area, but . the food was well, worth it. Since it was our first time, they asked If we wanted to sit on porch, sure, but next time maybe not, its very loud, tables were a bit close for my liking, but thats me I dont like to feel like Im eating with the next table but its a small place so not much to do about it, the food, and wait staff more then makes up for that, inside tables was alot quieter. this place is an old house with many rooms, and small tables throughout the place we loved it! We felt like we were at a larger version of our fav funky eatery on block Island. The cesar salad dressing was by far the best I have ever had, the chocolate cake to die for. So overall, cannot believe we found a place like this in Riverhead, glad we did. We went based on reviews, they were right. Food is excellent. Not a place for kids though.

I had the soft serve vanilla ice cream with the homemade hot fudge sauce. The soft serve was amazingly rich and creamy and it was topped with the best and thickest hot fudge I have ever tasted. My husband had a scoop of peconic swamp thing which was chocolate ice cream with brownies and raspberries, as well as some vanilla soft serve with fresh peaches on top. This may seem like an unusual combo but it was simply delightful. The server was extremely helpful and there are literally innumerable combinations of delicious flavors and toppings. For ice cream, this is the best of the best! Don't miss it!

If you are into authentic old style ice cream parlors, this is the place to go. Fondly known to locals as "Uncle Nick's" it has been at the same location, owned by the same family, serving up the same quality items for decades.
The checkerboard square flooring, the tin type ceiling and the stools are not decorative add ons, they are the authentic originals.
Sandwiches are packed with meat and flavor. Ice cream comes in dozens of varieties and salads are generous proportions.
Perhaps the BEST feature is that they make vanilla (and chocolate) egg creams that are terrific ! Years ago a regional newspaper did a feature on such old fashioned ice cream parlors and this establishment was highly rated overall but received the BEST RATING for egg creams.
Thank goodness some things really don't change.
Prices are still reasonable. Service is still reliable and friendly. And quality never goes out of style.

Food was ok. Flies weren't. They need to really do something about the flies! The staff seemed to think we were crazy for wanting to change table whilst they dealt with the flies. Was not a relaxing dinner.

TWEED'S combines true local flavor with sophisticated cuisine in an atmosphere of comfort, warmth, courtesy and welcoming familiarity. The award winning staff and this beautiful establishment are proud to be the historical centerpiece of Riverhead's Main Street revival
Tweed's is a nice neighborhood gastro type pub/restaurant. Ask questions before ordering.
I asked why the Buffalo burger was $20 and was told it was a pound of meat. This was not something I wanted to order at night. I did order a starter of fried clams that were the special. I got a full plate not a starter size ($22) which I should have asked the price. Main course of striped bass was very good. Go here but ask questions before ordering.

Deceivingly good! On the surface it appears just a traditional pub- (a good one at that) but beneath lies an amazing menu of outstanding dishes- Father Solan Seafood Stuffed Clams, Fresh house made Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, amazing wings, Filet Mignon Steak Tidbits, baby back ribs, all amazing starters.
Sandwiches like no other- including the Reuben, the Baja Wrap, and of course the Triple D burger- like nothing you see elsewhere. Entrees- all exceptional.
Portions, Quality, and presentation- all lend to incredible Price value.
This place has quickly become a riverhead institution. As restaurants open one after the next in this now somewhat booming town, locals appreciate Diggers more and more as the best of riverhead. Its just that good. All the others pale by comparison!!
