We stopped here on our way to Charleston from Hilton Head. It popped up on Google maps as having great breakfast. Unfortunately, we missed breakfast by about 20 minutes and they wouldn't make an exception. Be warned: breakfast ends at 11:30. Service was okay- nothing special. I had the grilled salmon sandwich served with chips. Way too much onion but salmon was good. My husband had the half grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. He said it was tasty. $10.50 for half a cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup is a bit pricey and we are from NY! Obviously we are not local but we wouldn't go back if we were.

Located in a gas station, I went there around 9pm for a treat (was staying at the Quality Inn next door). This is a full service DQ with treats and grill items. Service was terrible. My DQ Freeze was okay.

Pick 2 dinner with whitting & oysters and collards/okra as sides. Comes with 2 hush puppies. All cooked perfectly and cocktail/tarter sauce on the table.
Wife had the pick 2 with shirmp/scallops and sweet potato fries/pineapple slaw. Also cooked perfectly.
Not many choices along this stretch of 95 but chain food so this was a pleasant surprise to get a premium dinner prior to our hotel stop in Manning. $29 for the meals and $5 to the local kid singing and playing the guitar while we ate.

This little 'hole in the wall' restaurant is a hidden gem. Family owned, it offers authentic Mexican fare, although some of the flavors are toned down for gringo tastes.
Service is a bit casual, but the food arrives piping hot. The folks are friendly, and will accommodate special requests.

Had a really excellent BBQ lunch in Charleston and was hoping for something similar. I was so disappointed. To start out - plastic cutlery and styrofoam plates. choice of drinks was limited to water and iced tea. Choice of BBQ meats limited. Service was pleasant - the reason it got 2 stars.

Some of the best fried chicken - light & crispy skin and moist & tender meat. Very disappointed with their pulled pork. Very dry and no smoky taste. Neither of these meats are typical bbq offerings. They also offered pork ribs - pretty chewy. Plenty of sides to choose from. No mashed potatoes or gravy though. No baked beans either. What they did have - rutabaga, stewed tomatoes, yams, green beans, white rice, brown rice, something they called hash which was made up of mushy meat & vegetables, corn nuggets (yum), creamy corn (yum), collards, mac & cheese(cold), hush puppies (looked very well done), home made potato chips, potato salad and cole slaw (delicious). You are offered a choice of sweet tea or lemonade to drink. For dessert you could choose from banana pudding, peach cobbler or chocolate cake. There will be no repeat visit I’m afraid. Even though the price is very reasonable @ $11 per person for all you can eat - the value just isn’t there.

Short ride but with it. We skipped their $11 all you can eat buffet, had pulled pork, slaw, chips, and hush puppies. Every thing was very good. Staff was helpful an friendly. Now driving back to NJ.

I'm a picky eater, but still found several options on their fairly extensive menu even for my finicky taste buds. Staff were friendly. Portions were nice sized. Free drink refills, my only complaint would be when I ordered the nachos with the white cheese, they drowned my chips in the cheese, so by the time I ate the first 1 or 2 chips they were all soggy, so for future reference will order with cheese on the side! Will visit again

My wife and I visited Tailgators on a late Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the Wednesday dinner special: NY Strip Steak and it was delicious! Served a perfect medium rare along with tasty grilled broccoli and mashed potatoes. My wife ordered a shrimp salad which was also delicious.
The server was friendly and attentive and the cost was very reasonable. Since we were there before the evening dinner crush the atmosphere was warm and quiet.
Recommend you visit Tailgators for a pleasant change of pace in this sports bar atmosphere bar & grill.
