The largest of the twelve Dodecanese islands on the Aegean's eastern edge, Rhodes is also its most popular. The well-preserved medieval city of Rhodes sits at the north of the island of the same name. High rise hotels line the northern and eastern coastlines. Small villages and resorts dot the island's other shores. Whether your interests are beaches, bars or ancient sites, Rhodes offers an abundance of all three. Authentic Greece can be found in the hilly interior of the 50-mile-long island.

Another season full of flavors and unique experiences just finished. Thank you for choosing Tamam as the absolute food destination in Rhodes for one more year. Now a renovation period begins, so that everything is going to be ready by the spring of 2018. See you around!
It's really good, and photo worthy. And the grilled manouri cheese on a bed of roasted almond slivers with local honey over the top - amazing. Then the owner Andreas has a lagniappe (compliments of the house) desert of homemade ice cream with a sauce of these tiny cherries and chopped pistachios. And to make sure your stomach is ok with all that food, another lagniappe, a digestive, a new one he is trying out of prosecco and brandy over pineapple, and he insists you not forget to eat the pineapple. Just a perfect evening. And to cap it off, he sends you over to his new, and much fancier, bar, Flaws (4 blocks away), that has some really excellent wines. Each glass is served to you on black slate with 3 little tidbits (different tidbits with each new glass of wine).

In the year of 1999 Konstantin Restaurant was built in an idyllic location in Kalathos on an area of 4,000 square meters with a beautiful grass-covered yard decorated with many flowers. With a view of the small village of Kalathos and under the stars of the Rhodian sky we will endeavor to create beautiful moments of relaxation and great gastronomic variety for you.
Made a nice break from eating at our hotel nearby without the hassle of taxi to Lindos town. The restaurant is spotlessly clean with nice table settings and attentive friendly service. The food was well prepared and presented. Especially enjoyed the home made panna cotta dessert and strawberry sauce. A really nice evening at a reasonable price.

We came there after our engagement, and were surprised with this lovely and quite place. First it seemed quite empty, but during the evening it was full of people sitting outside, someone of them even had to wait while the staff were bringing more tables. It's a very beautiful place in the evning, with all these lights around the trees and tables on the grass near the sea. Very romantic I would say
The food were really decent and the service lovely, but not TOO sweet. The waiter didn't have panacota, so he felt bad and gave us another dessert for free.. decent man!
We ordered:
2x Grilled seabream with boiled veggies - just perfect, tasty and juicy
Water, lemonade, wine glass, Greek koffe and 2x free desserts
Total 32euro and superb evening

This French and English speaking taverna seems to have cornered the market of tourists back from the butterflies valley in need of sustenance.
And it delivers. The service was friendly and relaxed. We left our car in the small car park out front and sat inside in the cool as the wasps were at it outside. Common theme this year due to a mild winter we were told by the boss. We only intended to have a snack but ended up with a plate of deep fried courgettes fried veggie things ( not sure we asked for them) a lovely fresh Greek salsd and chicken souvlaki. The portions as always plentiful and the food of a decent standard. Chicken a tad dry and the fried food a little too fried and under seasoned. Fresh water melon was served on the house which was nice touch. They have a nice set up in a good position just off the square as well as playground for the little ones. Worth a visit and to brush up in your french. A bientot.

We were looking for a taverna when driving in the Mountains and in Psinthos this place was just around the corner. And it was the right decision to eat at Smaragd! Very friendly owner Georgios and really delicious greek food!! Mousaka, gyros plate and gemista - all super tasty! And yammy fresh figs - perfect ending to our evening!

Are you planning to visit Rhodes? Great hospitality, fantastic coffee and a big variety of beers and snacks is what you need for your break.
Totally amazing pizza, gorgeous Moussaka, wonderful homemade pudding. Lovely owner, welcoming and friendly. Made us garlic bread, even though not on the menu (which was perfect!)
Interior of shop is unique, plenty to look at including some gorgeous glasses, an old olive tree, very old radios.....
Food is well worth the visit and is very reasonably priced too
Highly recommended for lunch or dinner

My husband and I enjoy looking for restaurants that are a bit off the beaten track. We found this lovely place while in Rhodes Old Town for the day as one of the ports on our cruise aboard Ventura. Usually when we do this, we go without breakfast and look for somewhere that we can eat local cuisine for lunch. This one didn't disappoint. We were served by the nicest lady who made us lovely fresh Greek salad and souvlaki to share. She was obviously extremely busy and struggled with English, but, she was welcoming and helpful. We sat in the courtyard garden to eat and the setting was beautiful. Lovely food served by a lovely lady in a lovely setting. Thank you.

Welcome to the restaurant 'Geitonia'!!! We continue the tradition of our grandfather in combination of timeless with modern and creating a new refreshing and friendly place . We wait for you to try our traditional food situated in Ialysos village . The restaurant is opposite thee church of 'Assumption of Mary'
Oh my. This restaurant gets an A+ from me.
Located in front of a church in a small "local" hang out, Gitonia Mezedokafenes is a nice looking, very comfortable and excellently serviced restaurant.
Fabulous Greek food, all homemade and it really is finger licking good.
The surprising part is the price.
It is the only place that I felt that they should have charged more vs. what they serve.
The price, is mega friendly for the quality of food you get.
If you are near by, stop by, I guarantee you will be back for another choice that you didn't order on the first visit. :)
