Real de Catorce (Spanish [reˈal de kaˈtoɾse] (help·info); meaning: Real [a unit of currency] of Fourteen), often shortened to Real, is a village in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí and the seat of the municipality of Catorce. It is located 160 miles (260 km) north of the city of San Luis Potosí, and currently has a full-time population of under 1,000 residents. This 'ghost-town' in the high and dry expanses of northern San Luis Potosí state was once a thriving silver mining settlement. Real de Catorce has long been a pilgrimage site for both local Catholics and Huichol shamanists, and is now being discovered by international tourists drawn by the desert ambience and reputed spiritual energy.

After a rather disappointing culinary tip through San Luis Potosi, we found this delicious cafe that serves amazing savoury crepes. We were not expecting anything and it turned out these may have been the best I've ever eaten, not just in Mexico but anywhere!
Prices were reasonable, although the additional 40 pesos for a side salad did seem a bit steep (considering Mexican prices of course).

Super recomendado.

Local cuisine mixed with italaian recipes , makes this place pretty special .The food is great bust, if you are willing to ask for a recipe chaneg or special ingredients you should consider another place.

We traveled through central Mexico to many lovely places. Amazing how in a big city you can't find a decent cup of coffee. We ended up finding it in this tiny isolated village cut out from the world.
This place also has a bar. Coffee and drinks? Awesome!
This place is a life saver for caffeine addicts like myself. Sadly for me, they didn't open on the Monday I spent there. I don't know if it's because they close on Mondays or because it was the day of the Lady of Guadalupe. Had to leave Real without a second cup :-(

when we ordered a torta, they didn't have bolillo, then we got pizza, and when we asked for valentina sauce they didn't have any, the staff there had finished it. We asked for white wine and they brought red wine. The pizza also tasted like cardboard.
