What a fitting place to close our time through Cinque Terre & Tuscany! Our group of 15 was well-cared for during the 3-hour meal. The pastas and meat dishes- including the wild boar- were delicious. A round of limoncello ended our great celebration- perfect on a warm summer night!

Hopefully, you can find this place, because you might end up on a road in a vineyard below the restaurant. Very nice meal for couples, with stewed meats being the norm.
The stewing make for a very tender cut of meat. I did have the pepper beef so I ended up pulling out a lot of whole peppercorns but I appreciate the attention to detail in cooking the spicy meal. From the beef to the chicken to the fish, all the meals were well-received. We went there because my brother had previously gone and remembered how good it was.

We ate here and were very impressed with everything. The food was good and generous, and the service was also great. The owner came around and checked on our food, and was very nice. Loved the view and fair prices. Definitely a one for your short list. Highly recommend.

A lovely meal in this terrific restaurant. Pastas were solid though not the best we had. Excellent secondos including lamb, duck, and boar. The only negative was disappointing home-baked bread- doughy and chewy compared with the great breads we got everywhere else in Italy.

Wine bar, osteria
A short scenic drive from Radda, Volpaia is off the beaten track, but well worth the detour. Spectacular Tuscan views are omni present from the road and the tiny village itself. (When you reach the town, stay to the left for free parking just below the town "piazza". It's a short walk to the town entry where Bar Ucci and La Bottega Volpaia, owned separately by 2 sisters, are located. While La Bottega (another review) wins the food and view contest, Bar Ucci and its exuberant owner sweeps the Miss Congeniality prize. It has a lively atmosphere that encourages the sharing of tables and conversations with people you've never met before. The owner's effervescence infects all who choose to stop in to eat and/or drink.
Home cooked Tuscan food and good local house wines are inexpensive and tasty. It may not be the best, but the overall experience is delightful. A most pleasant way to spend lunch or dinner and part of the afternoon away from the seasonal crowds of nearby Radda, Greve and Castellina.

Palazzo Leopoldo is on your website already which is the main hotel which has this restaurant in it. I would like to write a review on it as it was one of the best meals we had on our Tuscany trip in April.
We ordered the Florentine steak and had no idea steak could taste THAT delicious. I tend to like my steaks cooked medium (coming down from well, gradually) but you order this steak rare--it's just what you do. And it's amazing. It's a traditional regional dish and you've gotta try it! All of the restaurants serve it for a minimum of two people, so be ready for that. It's a big steak.
Our servers were very friendly--overall, a great spot!

Radda's original wine bar. Excellent value (service and cover charge free).Bruschetta, pasta, soup, salads, panini) wine by the glass, served all day on a scenic sun Terrace, perfect also for people watching. English speaking staff, always able to advise and give local recommendations. The bar has an adjacent wine store (Enoteca Toscana), offering the finest selection of Tuscan wines, olive oils and traditional balsamic, available also local and international Delivery.
This restaurant has a relaxed feel to it. Great buffalo mozzareella salad (withthe most incredible buffalo mozzarella cheese - unlike any mizzarella you'll ever find in North America! Good pastas. The owner is wonderful and welcoming. Great location to eat while the summer sun sets!

Typical Tavern placed in the historical center. The menu offers a good selection of local products, bruschette, fresh pasta with different sauces, some meat dishes, salads, homemade desserts. Wide choice of Chianti Classico from local producers, also by the glass. Winter time reduced opening hours and closed on Sundays
We ate here on three evenings and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is reasonably priced and the red house wine is very drinkable. The restaurant and bar are also popular with the locals, always a good sign....Morethank you for the nice words you wrote about us.

Tiny restaurant in a tiny hamlet not far from Radda In Chianti and Volpaia, serving wonderful local Tuscan food.
We were staying in Torsoli and had a recommendation to eat in Lucolena. It was closed so we drove up the road 4 km and are we glad we did. The food at L'Osteria Ribugio Del Chianti was fantastic. Home cooked, flavorful and generous portions. We returned a couple of times and tried the pasta, ribs and several other delights. All were delishious! If you're in the Chianti region of Tuscany, be sure to make the trip. You won't be disappointed.
