After spending 12 days in Puerto Juarez, we discovery this restaurant. We had lunch and came back the next day for pizza. Both meals were delicious. Nice atmosphere and good service. This is a must try if you are in the area.

Kiosco Verde is a classic local restaurant in Cancún specialized in seafood. It is in both local and foreign taste since 1964. Our dishes are a mix of local ingredients based on a rustic preparation.
El Kiosco Verde (The Green Kiosk), you will find mostly locals but also tourists. We've followed the recs. from TA and been very happy with all Certificate of Excellence restaurants. One dinner, we veered off and regretted it. That being said, this certificate of excellence little restaurant Is close to the Puerto Juarez ferry and Amara /Puerta Mar Condos. It would be worth it to stop in, if you were coming off of Isla Mujeres from Puerto Juarez. Free parking out front and only a block or two from the ferry parking garage of UltraMar, across from the Naval Station. You would never have guessed this was a foody place in the neighborhood. We walked by it several times without thinking about it. The area is slightly rough with graffiti and some trash, but not unsafe. Luis was our waiter and he was very accommodating. The only thing we didn't love were the thick chips and guacamole. We ordered the Empanadas with fish called: Raya en salsa verde. It came with four fried empanadas and they were super tasty. Then, my husband got the Ceviche Nikei, (not on the menu yet but you can ask for it). He said it was the best Ceviche he's ever had. Hands down. Made from coconut juices, limes, poblano chili and cilantro. Super fresh. Lots of flavors. Beautiful presentation. I am not a fishy fish eater, so I ordered the Grilled Grouper filet with pesto. Wow. Wow. It came with rice and a light fresh salad. Grilled to perfection. We also got the banana bread with ice-cream desert and blue berries for desert. See all my pictures. I put the names down too since there is not an English menu. All this plus four drinks was about $50 US, including tip. We had way too much food and brought some home. This restaurant in Miami would be double. Don't be intimidated by the Spanish only menu. Get there early as they close around 7PM. It's nice in the daylight, so I would recommend a late lunch or early dinner. We'll be back!

I stumbled upon this little beach restaurant after stopping at others who were not opened yet at 11:00 am, and I'm so glad I did. The food is fresh and delicious. A complimentary bowl of fish soup, followed by fish and shrimp tacos. I couldn't finish it all. I'll definitely return! Gerardo was warm and friendly and speaks English along with Spanish. They made me feel right at home.

Kids had chicken Fajitas and all three were sick in the morning!!! lost two days of our vacation, the shrimp was terrible, the fish was way over seasoned! the only good thing there was the beer and chips. Stay clear unless you want a beer on the beech. Bathroom is public next door on beach that you have to pay to use! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

We are staying at a condo down the street, and La Palapa Beach came highly recommended by our host. After a short walk down, we were greeted warmly by a nice young man who upon learning we didn't speak Spanish found someone who did.
The man, whose name I cannot recall, appeared to be the owner or perhaps the manager but regardless made us feel welcome and helped us find food that fit our palates. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and breaded fillet, both of which were fantastic.
Our trip is just getting started, so I anticipate we will be eating there regularly as the food and service were excellent.

Cancun's hidden gem. Located in the gated Puerto Del Mar condominium community in Puerto Juarez section of town right off Lopez Portillo, like you're headed to the Ultramar water taxi in Puerto Juarez... the gated condo community is on the right before you get to...MoreDear guest Thank you for your opinion and for visit us. We hope you come back soon!
