One of Tenerife's top resorts, Puerto de la Cruz is on the north coast of the island. Both Spanish and island traditions are evident in the former fishing village. Its Sardine Festival and annual Carnaval are two highlights of life on the island. Busy, narrow streets of the Old Town, packed with colonial architecture, make walking a safer bet than driving. Popular attractions include Lago Martianez, the casino, Parrot Pool, the Banana Plantation and the Botanical Gardens, which date back to 1788.

We arrived here based on other reviews on TripAdvisor. However, we did not expect to eat the best food ever! This is a place with tradition, there is even a certificate on the wall, dated 1918.
The hosts are friendly and more than happy to give recommendations on fresh food / how it’s prepared, etc.
If you visit the north side of the island, this place is a ‘must’ ( food wise )!!!!

Small, elegant and romantic restaurant with 19 years of experience.
We are in San Felipe Street no. 53 about 300 meters from the famous
Plaza del Charco.
We are renowned for the quality and freshness of our products.
We recommend to book a table.
Wednesday closed
We decided to visit the restaurant after a very long trip and only wanted to get a main dish, however we ended up ordering starter, main and a dessert. The service was great, all our food was nice and very tasty. Defenetely a place that we can recommend.

BAMBI Gourmet, inaugurated in 2002 as a family business it is the result of the great illusion and dedication of its owners to promote the romanian culture and gastronomy. Our gastronomic offer is a fusion between romanian and international cuisine and consists in a variety of starters, soups, salads, fish and meat; all of them are prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients and are presented in a creative and original way. If you want to enjoy our original food do not hesitate to visit us!!
My husband, young daughter and I attempted to visit Bambi restaurant. We were dressed appropriately for a nice dinner. Despite 6 visible empty tables we were told the restaurant had no tables available. We went to another restaurant. On our way back to our apartment about an hour later we stopped by Bambi again and those empty tables were still empty. We could only assume that the restaurant did not want a young child and did not want to tell us directly. Very disappointing as we were looking forward to their food.

Great atmosphere, COSY Terrace, CENTRAL AND QUIET ATTENTION Personalised by its owners, SPECIALIST IN KITCHEN Argentina, delicious pasta, and Canarian dishes TAPAS.IDEAL AMENO to spend a moment with your partner or with family and friends. Home cooking
Looking around on trip advisor for a good restaurant for a good meal which wasn't all tapas and decided to try this place. Great couple who run it and strangely felt that they could be our best friends, great service..left us to talk but you only had too ask for anything and they were there.
We had tuna with peach(odd but really nice) and cheese drizzled with honey to start followed by Argentine steaks as a main, as others have said full of flavour the best steak we've had for a long time. Deserts were chocolate melt in the middle pudding and a mousse covered in brandy.
All the food was excellent and with a litre of house red and warm bread with alioli the bill came to 52 euros. Can't get that quality at home for that price.
Thank you and we will come again before we go.

In Tasca el olivo, only we use for our dishes (cooking and decorating) extra virgin olive oil and DO NOT USE any type of lard or butter or low quality oils. Very well known are the beneficial properties for humans containing Extra virgin olive oil so we guarantee that all our dishes are fresh and healthy.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in this town. Never had a chance to sit inside but it is ok also to eat outside. Lovely personnel, tasty food and affordable prices. I love the versatile tapas selection. I tried Ferrero Canario this time - a surprising combination of sweet and salty.

Visited here by accident on last night of holiday and what a lucky accident it was. We were going to another restaurant which turned out to be closed and got here and were lucky to get a table. Food is tapas style but amazing. The lamb dish was one of the best we have ever eaten being melt in the mouth delicious. We also had prawns. The highlight was the singing from the owner, his wife and daughter. It was amazing. Cannot recommend here highly enough.

Casa Mika will remain closed for holidays, thank you very much
This place is completely overrated. Firstly the menu is very small, I chose Gazpacho soup which although very nice didn’t taste home-made, it tasted like the one you can buy in the supermarket. I then chose croquettes which were supposed to be salmon, spinach and cheese and fish, but the fish ones had been replaced with mushroom ones without anyone telling me this. They were ok, the vegetable ones were quite bland. My partner had hake with potatoes and salad, the hake was from frozen and pre-portioned. We ordered some wine and the one we wanted wasn’t available (take if off the menu then!) so we ended up with what was supposed to be a Sauvignon blanc but tasted nothing like it, it had a strange horrible taste to it, like it had been stored really badly. We got the impression that nothing is cooked from scratch here as they would have you believe but everything is brought in already made frozen, then just fried or cooked to order. Also another thing I disliked here is seeing the chef/kitchen staff member smoking whilst working. As soon as she saw I had seen her she disappeared from view but smoking indoors where food is being prepared is completely unacceptable. They don't accept credit cards here either. We wouldn’t come here to eat again, and don’t understand how it has such a high ranking on here as it's completely undeserved.

Feel at Home in Atuvera. A place where you can really enjoy the company of family and friends. The best part is, the delicious cuisine of our Chef, Andrés Notario McDonell, no doubt. Our waiters are kind and professional. And the place is the best scenario to enjoy a wonderful meal... We are at a Colonial little palace surronded by old tropical Gardens. We dont close after lunch so you can relax and enjoy your meal regardless of time. Our prices are fair. Initial sourdough bread with sauces and mineral water jugs are on the house!
Thank you for an excellent evening and a wonderful meal will return, the Gardens and private dinning room were beautiful the waitress was attentive and very patient as I was English and spoke very little Spanish

On our most recent visit we had the six course Tasting Menu costing €39 per person.
As always Seve Diaz created a wonderfully well balanced meal of mini courses containing flavour packed dishes which were artistically presented and well explained by waitress Lucia who is a real asset to the El Taller team.
Menu was:
Fish croquettes with cumin ( Complimentary)
Tuna Carpaccio marinaded in ginger with pineapple.
Lightly poached egg with baby peas and parmesan flakes in broth
Pompano in fish stock with hazelnuts and toasted pumpkin
Slow cooked beef in a rich reduction with puree of sweet potatoes and lentils.
Raspberry mousse with compote of strawberries and yoghurt ice cream
Chocolate cremeux topped with crispy chocolate flakes with mango ice cream and coconut milk.
With a bottle of excellent Ramon Bilbao Limited Edition Rioja 2014 and water the bill was €101.
Verdict.
A stunningly delicious meal created by a superb chef and very fair value for cuisine of this quality.

Fresh vietnamese dishes, rice paper rolls and baguettes. Pork, chicken, beef and vegans options. Asiatic beers, natural smoothies, vietnamese coffe and much more
Just before I start my review, I would like to assure you that I love Canarian potatoes and that we were just looking for something different! Lovely little find with outdoor Seating on a quiet street so no fumes from cars. We are vegetarian so eating is sometimes hard here in Tenerife. So we were really pleased with their vegetarian and vegan options. The only thing I would complain about is that their portions could be bigger, but then again, I was very hungry at the time.
