this is a very nice restaurant, located in the framework of a wonderful renaissance villas in the surroundings of Pisa. The food is very good (with an excelllent price/quality ratio). We have been here several times (we have also organized here a ceremony with a lot of parents). It is very fine for families, parents can talk while kids can enjoy the large garden of the villa di Corliano.
I have seen other reviews and found a couple that complain for the scarce level of service. This is very strange, since the owner of the restaurant and the personnel are very kind and keen to serve in a professional manner the clients (at least, this is my opinion after enjoyng several time a dinner at l'Ussero).

This family-run osteria combines a relaxed atmosphere with well-prepared classical Tuscan food and great wines. If you like mushrooms, truffles and quality meet this is your place. If you like natural wines, combining character and elegance, you'll love the "Osteria del Ghiotto" even more. Try the rather unknown but top-notch Chianti's from "Val delle Corti" and "Caparsa"...

I have been there with a friend during my last trip to Tuscany. He was warmly recommending it, and he was right. We took some starters and a huge Fiorentina steak. Starters (vellutata di carote, cinta senese and burrata) were well prepared, extremely fresh and...MoreGrazie.VdG

We have just returned to Ireland after spending two weeks vacation in San Miniato, dining out frequently here and elsewhere in the provinces of Tuscany and Pisa. Without doubt, this restaurant is one of the best in the entire region!
The restaurant cooks outstanding meat and seafood dishes and also offers local truffle dishes. The staff are very efficient and attentive, without rushing you if you want to savour a leisurely meal. There is a choice of indoor or outdoor Seating, all with proper table linen and superb house bread. If you don't leave early, you might even meet the chef when he comes out to meet customers.
Our standout dishes included their signature grilled octopus, which was succulent with amazing texture and flavour, an inventive take on insalata caprese, which involved superb mozzarella with a tomato veloute, and main courses of homemade gnochetti dumplings with truffle and superb local seawater fish. See photos attached to this review.
If you're looking for dinner with a view, go elsewhere, but if you want superb flavours and a memorable meal, you won't be disappointed here! We will be back!

This is fine dining without being pretentious. Plates are wonderfully and skillfully prepared by the chef owner and served by his very friendly and welcoming wife. Good wine selection ranging from about 15 euro to several hundred. Very fancy high end food that you would never expect to find in this small little hillside town.

Casale La Piaggia is a small agriturismo established in 2012 thanks to a real passion of the patrons for the true Tuscan cuisine and its forgotten traditional recipes. Most of the ingredients used are organic and produced by our farm Casale La Piaggia. Our small lounge offers accomodation up to 20 persons so that early Reservations are appreciated.During summertime you will enjoy our lovely traditional food in our beautiful garden lighted by candles. A real trip through the heritage Tuscan cuisine.
One might find hard to believe that behind the bank of the riverside in the countryside near Pisa such a secret garden of delicatessen and aromas could take place. From the kindness of the very Tuscan "oste" onto the romantic amenity of the garden moving finally to the variety, genuine and rich portions of typical (but unique in its genre) Tuscan 3 courses (+ dessert) meal one cannot really get anything better than this. Especially nowadays when restaurant in the city centre of Pisa disguise their (far too) touristic menus into typical. If you are looking for typical rustic but classy and great price-quality food, please please drive your way to Campo and visit La Piaggia!!!

You just have to try this place! It's very tasty. Tell them what you like and bear with them. They know how to satisfy your palate. Bit cramped but this is what makes the place very relaxed. Came back there twice and loved it! Great quality and cheap!

The Esplanade Restaurant is housed in a beautiful luxury four-star Art Nouveau-style, on the Promenade of Viareggio.Near the sea and the beautiful pinewood, the restaurant Esplanade is the ideal location for receptions, banquets and elegant and romantic dinners.
I loved the tuna, gnocchi with chicory/speck/gorgonzola, spaghetti carbonara, salami platter, pork tenderloin with lardo, broccoli, lemoncella, red wines, croissants at breakfast, and most of all the wonderful service and special attention I received without fail. Molto Buono! Grazie!

Paninoteca specializzata in panini e focacce farcite
Tiny 'hole in the wall' Sandwich shop selling a wide range of fillings in warm bread. They also have drinks and a few sweet things. We went two days running and had substantial, filling lunches very reasonably priced.Service was lovely too. My partner adored the lardo & tomatoes combination and had it both days. I had ham and artichokes one day, pork and mushrooms the next - both delicious. There is hardly any room to eat there but you can take them away - there are plenty of benches to choose from nearby!
