I had a "great comida" in there! The truth about this restaurant is that they offer you real spanish specialties with a taste of art! I started with a little "drink&tapas" and then in a wonderful atmosphere I get the chance to try the "menu estivo"! Me and my friends we took 3 different plates of everything in the menu and we shared. It was a real good one! Once back in Palencia I will come back for sure...the Chef owe me a glass of wine 'cause I was able to repeat some "hard-for-italian spanish words" like gazpacho and fascinante :)
Until next time!

My husband and I have eaten at Anejo for lunch and dinner many times over the last eight years, always good! The wine bar/café in front is perfect for a drink or a snack, and the cozy, attractive restaurant is a favorite for menu del dia or special a-la-carte dinner. My favorites: lentil soup(best I've ever had), all soups, salad with goat cheese, fillet with blue cheese sauce, all desserts. The proprietor is very knowledgeable about wine, and the list is good. We love it!

This was a great high end restaurant on the camino, with excellent service and an extensive menu and wine list. Great regional choices, well prepared and presented. Highly recommended!

Located in a vine cellar with nice atmosphere. Very good services. Disches very tasteful and prepared with artistic touch. Fish on bones superior!

As we were spending the night here as part of a tour, both dinner and the next morning's breakfast were included. Because of its rural location, this restaurant is primarily a destination or event center for many of the locals. The decor is funky fifties but the table setting was beautiful. Our prefix dinner (hake) included wine and was good but not extraordinary based on our experience with the exception of the "queso helado ", which was heavenly. Breakfast was hearty and included eggs if you desired.

Great atmosphere, and a great family tradition of good food and good service. A reservation is recommended for weekend visits. The specialty of the house is "Lechazo", or roast suckling lamb. However, the menu is complete and the local dishes are splendid. Well worth driving out of your way for!

The place is rather sterile and more like a Chinese restaurant, its connected to the Hostel. Surprisingly the food was very good, the Solomillo de ternera ( veal) was outstanding with vegetables and fries. Very friendly service as well...

In this small, it is intended that all its pizzas and other products transmit all the enthusiasm and authenticity of the human group that works with utmost devotion and dedication to our customers taste the real Sicily, because everything we offer is made by hand and with natural ingredients and lots of love ...
Can't say how excited we are to have found Kuro. We live in a village outside Palencia, and had resigned ourselves to Castilian Castilian and more Castilian when we eat out... people around here are NOT adventurous diners.
I found Kuro here on TripAdvisor, and we went straightaway the next time we went to town. WOW! Real Sicilian, just like I grew up with back in Pittsburgh... calzones! Scamorza cheese! Ventricina salami! Our one-person pizzas were perfectly sized and beautifully baked in a wood-fired oven; the wine list is small but very reasonable, service was friendly and attentive, and the facility itself was very very clean.
Five stars!

Restaurante La Concordia is one of the best finds in a long time for we who live in Spain's "fly-over country." The menu is small but complete, with a full range of salads, starters, one-plate "tejado" meals, and exquisite mains made with local produce, meat, and fowl.
We shared a goat-cheese salad made with rocket leaves, chard, and spinach that were very, very fresh, with chunks of pungent cheese, toasted hazelnuts, and slices of strawberry and cherries -- the cherry trees are loaded with fruit just now, cherries appeared in several dishes, a big basketful was on the bar when we came in.
We had a "teja," a shiny hot roof tile with a mess of fries, pork sausage, and fried eggs on top. The tile was a bit silly, but fun -- and for 6 Euro, who can complain? I had duck magrait with foi gras and fruit: Cherries, and superb figs compote. Four generous slices, twice as much as I could eat!
We had all the above with house wine and water, coffee and a slice of cake for a mere 41 Euro.
Palencia's restaurants tend toward "more of the same," even if that basic Castilian produce is top quality. La Concordia steps outside the box, with sauces, timbales, and creative salads you just don't see elsewhere in this region. The chef served us our lunch himself, and made sure every detail was tended-to. The restaurant is small and cozy, obviously decorated with loving care. The canary singing out in the patio was a final, sweet touch.
Oh, and on the hill overlooking Monzon is a spectacular castle!
I will be back!
