Our meal at La Locanda del Ditirambo was one of the most delightful experiences of Italy. Nestled in the mountaintop community of Castro dei Volsci, an ancient medieval type village dating back to at least the 1600's. Upon entering the hidden entrance under the villas you are taken aback by the gorgeous stone walls, wooden beams and elegant decor. The food was incredible! Authentic Ciociaria cuisine you might find in a local families home, simple yet elegant, freshly made pasta's, primo's, secondo's, contorno's and finished with delicious dolce's. The wine served was from a local vineyard, some of the best I've ever had. This is a must stop if you are in the area, or staying at Casa Gregrio and have a night off.

The beauty of a style that crosses time ... Nestled on the ramparts of the twelfth century, the Hotel-Restaurant L'Orione, takes its name from the medieval gate facing the eponymous astral constellation. It was founded in 1975 by the genius of the master stonemason Ferdinando Battisti who, after a careful restoration, embellished the Palace, former residence of the Governor Papal Count Valentini, with architectural elements and stone sculptures. The noble and elegant lines of the ancient palace, the lush hanging Gardens, spacious terraces and unparalleled views, allows guests to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past and to live unique and unforgettable sensations. The Restaurant . For forty years, the combination of tradition, innovation and continuous research of raw materials of superior quality make your event a unique experience. Destination for gourmet from all over Italy, the restaurant allows you to savor the excellence of the culinary arts, table hospitality and to enjoy national and international wines. The magical atmosphere reigning at L'Orione makes it the perfect location to celebrate your event, in the heart of Ciociaria - Lazio.

Very nice place with excellent food and great service.Everything is well organized.kitchen: all the items on the menu have an excellent taste and a perfect combination, all the fish and seafood very fresh , especially liked the pasta kalamarata and still have the best millefeuille I've ever eaten in my life. Service: I can say about the service all at the same summit, immediately noticeable that the kitchen and the hall are working professionals.

Country House with in-house prepared dishes (Italian Regional Cuisine). All made with local products.
I spent 2 weeks in San lorenzo that was really good.
Apart of the beautiful and peaceful place, the family was real charming and caring that made me feel like I was born there!
Food was simply delicious all home-made with lots of different options even vegetarian, gotta be honest, never tasted such delightful veggie food!
I couldn't say it is a bad place cause I really enjoyed my stay!
I truly recommend it if you like to enjoy time for yourself and yours.

I was both privileged and pleased to attend a luncheon feast at this converted historic olive oil factory in Vico nel Lazio, when visiting a lifelong friend who lives in this town.
The menu is amazing and the quality of the food was beyond all my expectations.
I have added stars for each dish if that helps you decide, but I seriously doubt the young chef who works here could ever produce an average meal.
The order of the food was (and remember most of this is inside me now and I am a little light-headed): Barley Soup***, Parmesan and Pumpkin mousse*****, Ricotta and Truffle terrine****, Cheese (can't remember the type but it tasted smoked and was fantastic), with chicory and prosciutto on toast***. That was the antipasto.
Then the pasta - Ravioli filled with Porcini Mushroom and Truffles********** (I can die happy now - this pasta was incomparable to any I have ever eaten), then Spaghetti with blistered tomatoes*****.
There was serious debate after this course as to what to have next - the parties eventually agreed on calamari, prawns, grilled eggplant, zucchini and potatoes*****. There was also a basket of the locally made bread**** on the table which you have with the locally produced olive oil.
The dolce (sweet) was a plate of three desserts - panacotta, creme brûlée and a sweet pasta with custard, cream and fruit. I cannot personally provide a critique of these dishes as I do not eat sweets, but the smiles on the faces of my fellow patrons seemed to indicate they were pretty good. I did have some of the fruit compote, which was elegantly prepared and was fresh and delicious.
There was coffee and liqueur on offer, but I think by the time we got to this part of the meal I was unable to move my lips to say no thank you and just waved the owner away.
Vico is a medieval town in Frosinone and if you make the effort to visit ho on a Friday, Sat or Sunday when this place is open - you will not be disappointed. I am sure to remember this meal for a long time.

It's a steak restaurant so don't expect much more. Various different steaks such as Irish, Scottish, Argentinian, Danish
Great value and very friendly people. Don't be put off by the rather bizarre exterior it's fine once you're inside.
We had starters, two steaks, potatoes, salad and a bottle of wine and it was 60 Euros!

Great quality, friendly service, affordable prices. Not much to add except that it went beyond our expectations. It was a great lunch. Highly recommended.
