We drove here after our host couldn't recommend this place enough, and it is well worth the drive. You feel like you've just stumbled into the middle of nowhere, fields of olive trees, there's absolutely nothing but a church, a small garden/farm and the restaurant (covered in stickers from the Michelin guide in literally every year). It's a small very homey restaurant, Reservations are highly recommended, tables do fill up with local regulars for lunch. We opted for the tasting menu (EUR 35 each, expecting 3 dishes). Good heavens we were stuffed: 3 antipasto dishes, 3 mains, 3 dessert, for 35 EUROS each!!!! All the freshest tastiest produce, simply divine! I saw another reviewer had simply put no comments - and I think he hits the nail on the head, it would dilute to even attempt to write a review, this place doesn't need one, you just need to go it is superb!!

Corteinfiore specializes in seafood. It's fresh, fresh, fresh and creatively prepared. They have many different appetizers and you could almost make a meal of them. Extensive crudo menu--the one we tried was carpaccio of red shrimp that had been pounded flat with a preserved lemon sauce. They also have a warm appetizer platter that is their signature dish of several different fish--a baccala croquette, fried shrimp, grilled octopus, etc. We had a pasta with clams for our main but after the antipasti it was really too much. The restaurant is like a garden with citrus and fruit trees around the perimeter and adding to the garden atmosphere the tables and chairs were metal outdoor furniture. It's on a street parallel to the seaside Promenade. You won't have a water view but the food is better than the tourist spots on the water and the atmosphere inside is like an oasis on a hot day. You can easily walk here from the Trani Cathedral, the main tourist site.

If,sadly, you have only visited Florence, Venice, Rome, Amalfi and you think that basic courtesy is what passes for hospitality; if you are still uncertain about how the Italians have earned a reputation for an obsession with la cucina; if you want a meal in a small, genuine ristorante where they are supremely and justly proud of their food, wine and service and you would like it at a ridiculously low price, I suggest you make the effort, right off the afternoon (this place deserves more than a quick drop-in), and travel hours if you have to, in order to enjoy some of the best dining you will get anywhere in Italy.
Having eaten here twice in two years (and dined in every region of Italy for more than 12 months), I cannot speak too highly of this local, unpretentious superb little restaurant.

Enoteca con cucina del territorio
I wanted to eat here after Reading other trip advisor reviews, and I must say, I was not disappointed. First of all, Reservations are a must! the room is small, it fills up fast. This is not your typical pasta type Italian restaurant. It is an enoteca, meaning that they sell wine and also have food service. There is no a la carte menu - just a tasting menu, which is a great bargain for 19 euro. Everything I ate was wonderful, and all of the ingredients locally produced. The tasting menu, with a bottle of very good wine from the region cost me only 40 euro. This is another gem to be found in Andria.

We ate one of the great meal that we have ever had. The food (mainly based on the sea) was great. Generous dishes with tasty food and the price is reasonable compared to what you get. Highly recommended!!

We recently went to a wedding hosted at the Umami. The wedding itself was fantastic; filled with love and emotions and perfectly complimented by the amazing ambiance, setting and unbelievable food (quality, flavour and quantity) from the delightful appetizers through the full menu finishing with the cake. We ate all night, really enjoyed the happy occasion and delighted in the excellent service, produce and setting. A big thank you to everyone. could not recommend it highly enough!

A contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with roots on Puglia, tasty and light, affordable and understandable, made of elegance and concentration of flavors, always emphasizing simplicity and aiming to preserve the identity of each ingredient not to confuse it.
Quintessenza is a small restaurant with simple contemporary decor located in the charming city of Trani. Much like the decor, the menu features pared back dishes that use relatively few ingredients and instead focus on the produce itself, ensuring that its flavours shine through.
Out of the dishes that we ate, of particular note was a straightforward sounding salad of white and french beans; the dish itself had an incredible depth of flavour achieved by different treatments of the beans from grilling to steaming and everything was bought together with a very well balanced dressing; the whole dish just tasted of summer (my description does not begin to do it justice). A couple of pasta dishes were well executed. A fish course of cod served with a tomato and bread paste and a basil and mozzarella water sauce sounds odd on paper but tasted delicious bringing together classic flavours in a new way. Desserts were good too ranging from a twist on classic flavours of peach to a coconut and lime creation.
Service throughout was attentive and the bill confirmed that it was excellent value for money; highly recommended and I will definitely return when I am next in the region.

A la carte restaurant, located in the historic center of Trani, a short walk from the Castle and the Cathedral and surrounded by a sea smell. A small elegantly understated location that creates an intimate and magical to be lulled by the emotions of the culinary creations on the sweet notes of jazz music. The environment is minimal, framed by an old structure turned around in local , where to catch the essence of Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist according to an interpretation of the chef. The love of tradition and curiosity for innovation blend the passion and creativity of Chef Patron Michele Elia. Always attentive to marry with fantasy and care the traditional flavors of Apulian cuisine with the most modern cooking techniques and sophisticated combinations, implementing an original and genuine product. His philosophy is to transmit emotions with food for a trace or evoke memories of genuine flavors, so behind every dish there is a curated search for balance between the selected products and local flavors to enhance the freshness and enhancing the area. Even the wine list is a curated selection of Apulian wines and more. The menu is seasonal , in harmony with the rhythms of nature to provide healthy food and quality in terms of taste and smell.
My best meal in Puglia. An exceptional combination of traditional and gourmet cooking.
Each course was made with fresh fish and produce. The appetizers were varied and unique. Tuna Tartare with cucumber and melon,
délicate carpaccio of spiegola, octopus in
light cream sauce, aubergine stuffed with moist fish. Main course of FRESH sea urchins with
home made spaghetti. Then sea bream with light sauce of almonds, mint and ricotta. Dessert was 6 individual and unique petits-fours. Each one was a unique sweet taste with
a hint of something savory and an airy froth.
All accompanied by a light house vino bianco.
Bravo il cuoco and our guide Paola who made this last evening in Puglia an exceptional one.

We had a charming experience here, hosted by Vito. A couple of complementary glasses of prosecco as a welcome set the scene. We had a mixed seafood antipasto - octopus, large prawns wrapped in lardo, and mussels beautifully cooked in a mint sauce. Then we shared a primo of seafood tagliatelle, and a secondo of fillet of seabass cooked beautifully with orange zest and herbs. Lovely glasses of rose, vermentino and a great primitivo. Friendly chat with Vito. All for €58 inc water and coffee, which was very good value. This is a gem in what is quite a small seaside town.

We have lived in Trani for over two years and this one of our favorite cafes. The service is always friendly, their products are good and there are few things as nice as a cappuccino in Piazza della Repubblica.
