Great location. They seemed to be a little understaffed around 1:30 Saturday if Labor Day. HOWEVER, our single waitress handily accommodated our party of 7 seated outside. She was efficient and completely accurate. The menu has something for everyone. I dare you to walk away hungry even with dietary restrictions. Loved this place! Give the waitress 6 out of 5 stars!!

Four family members had dinner and all had different entrees. All were very good. The portion size
is generous, prices reasonable. Only thing we didn’t understand was four servers we had before entrees arrived. We’ll return as this is the “go to place to eat out”.

Had a great lunch with a very fresh chicken Mediterranean salad at this small Inn-like restaurant in the center of Poultney. Right down the street from a great bookstore, the Hermit Hill Bookshop.
Very friendly and efficient service and a varied menu with lots to choose from.

Best damn little country store in the world.
Without a doubt the best egg sandwich for miles!! Then you have incredible fresh muffins and donuts. Every trip we take to Vermont includes a stop at the Wells Country Store, and this has been for the past 13 years.
By the way, did I mention the lovely staff, always a smile and a have a great day.
Cannot wait till I go back up in August!!!

Sissy's Kitchen should be a destination for anyone visiting southwestern Vermont. It's very small, but the food is fabulous. In the summer, most people take their meals outdoors, either on the front porch or on the picnic tables behind. Sissy is a great cook. The drive to Middletown Springs from either the south or the west is very scenic, with winding roads, farms and very little traffic. The mushroom quiche I had for lunch today was spectacular, with a perfect crust.

On 5/28/16 we stopped at this Dunkin Donuts, which is in the Tenneybrook Market. Service was slow and others there were complaining of the wait. Equally slow at Tenneybrook Market. Staff was not at all helpful. Been to many Dunkin Donuts. This is near the bottom of the list.

Good place to get gas, easy in and out, and the coffee and donuts are fresh and good. The location is in the middle of town and easy to walk or drive to. Typical DD's.

My family wen't to Polish night and brought me back some leftovers. Good stuff. I have heard a lot of positive comments about Big Bob's and I will have to check out the place and try some of the other stuff.

We go to Lake George once a year and saw a mention in the local paper of this farm that gave you a tour and dinner. What we got was completely unexpected. A rustic Italian dinner with farm-to-table ingredients that really outdoes itself. Highly recommended!

Where the U. S. Navy was born stands this wonderful old bank building now a restaurant. Expect excellent sandwiches and wonderful coffee drinks. The thanksgiving sandwich with Turkey and stuffing. Yum! Many other diners were happy with the tomato soup with grilled cheese.
Tip to boaters along the canal: you can walk after tying up as it is less than a block away from lock 12.
History buffs: it is the birthplace on the Navy and the Skenesborough Museum is across the street. Also in walking distance (less than a block away is lock #12.
