Have dined here on several occasions and have always rated this restaurant among the very highest in the region. The service is outstanding, as is the attention to detail, including the wine list being presented on a tablet with an app which facilitates the choosing of the wine to go with your meal. The only slight criticism that I would have is that the chef does spend a great deal of time and effort in the presentation of his dishes sometimes to the detriment to the actual dish itself. For instance I ordered the foie gras dish which is shown in one of the photos. Wonderful presentation, but far too little foie gras in the portion that I received. Apart from that little quibble, it was an excellent meal and importantly one was left feeling very satisfied with the experience.

Our friends from Paris, took us to this restaurant that we did not noticed at first as it is just behind the sea front but hidden .
Excellent surprise, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and seated in a very nice quiet location.
Everyone said it was the best ever here in Valras.
Our main courses were well prepared nice and hot we tasted the arrancini, the polpette, real typical Sicilian Foods, incredible pizzas.
The owner recommended a nice bottle of wine which was an excellent choice for our meals. We did enjoy the dessert, wonderful Tiramisu.
A very enjoyable visit topped with excellent food and ambiance.

This restaurant maintains it's very good standard of food and service as is witnessed by how busy it always is. It is probably best to book in advance so that you won't be disappointed . Would highly recommend.

Ate here on Friday evening in early May, the restaurant was quite, the food and service were excellent. Both myself and my husband chose from the set menus of which there where several with different prices starting from 20€ for 3 courses. The setting is great would definitely visit again if in the area.

RESTAURANT THE BUDDHA Transport yourself to Bali for a meal In an exotic setting where warm colors, Fountains, palm trees and gazebo huts create the mood, spend a good taste and entertaining evening at the Buddha.
Went for a family meal , restaurant had a good selection of seafood with boards in various languages giving prices for scallops, sea bass, tuna, prawns , mussels , lobster and other fishes . A good idea , as a show piece at the front , was the tank of live lobsters labelled up for sale.

Walking around Vias we walked into the square and spotted this restaurant in one corner. It looked pretty busy compared to the others so we chose to eat here. Completely random choice but did we fall lucky. Menus are in the language of choice so we tried French with an English backup. The owner is British so that helps of course. An interesting range of choices on the menu and for main courses we had fillet steak and a duck breast with foie gras. Both were cooked perfectly although the duck with foie gras was very rich. This was washed down with a very reasonably priced local red wine and a bottle of water. In a three week stay in France this was probably the best meal that we had. If I come back to Vias I will definitely be coming back here.

Lovely place with lots to choose from on the menu for children and adults alike, nice open type atmosphere, staff welcoming and food well cooked. I was stuffed after my main course but for those with a bigger appetite the puddings looked lovely

Honestly, after all the mediocre bland restaurants in the south this was a breath of fresh air. It was full of French so that was a good sign plus only room for a handful of tables. The service was slow but when the food arrived wow!! I had monkfish and the other half had lamb with homemade chips.
The pudding was a freshly made tart tatin which was remarkable.
Location had a lot to be desired but Fabulous in so many ways!

Superb new Restaurant, Bar and Hotel in this charming village on the Canal du Midi specialising in wonderful fresh fish.
We opted for "Le Capitaine" platter and were presented with the most amazing tiered platter of seafood and fish fillets with some stuffed vegetables and rice. Everything was delicious and beautifully cooked, the only minor criticism being that there was so much food, it was nearly cold by the time we were halfway through.
The staff were very cheerful and friendly and the restaurant was buzzing by about 8:00 pm. Lots of locals were dining there, which is usually a good sign.
Highly recommend, but make sure you're hungry if you order one of the special platters!

This restaurant has been open for at least 20 years on the main square in Villeneuve les Beziers & deserves a mention for its good food & reasonable prices .
To be fair we have never given this restaurant a second glance as our favourite restaurant in Villeneuve is right next door. On this occasion Les Enfants Terrible had an exceptional closure so we decided to give Le Grand Cafe a try. The lunchtime menu was 16.50 euros which was for 3 courses and wine, really good value. The starter is buffet style, help yourself. There was no choice of main. That day it was a piece of steak, some slices of duck and a particularly tasty spicy sausage. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were lovely, the service was excellent , I would have no hesitation returning and would definitely recommend it to others.
