Floating 780 miles across the Bay of Bengal from Kolkata, this port city in the Andaman archipelago is the splash-down point for the Mahatma Gandhi National Marine Park. Diving, snorkeling and glass-bottom boat trips provide views of rare corals and marine life. On shore, family-friendly Gandhi Park offers amusement rides and a nature trail. Nearby Viper and Ross islands contain historical remnants of British rule, while Corbyn's Cove has remains of Japanese bunkers at its palm-lined beach.

We just went to have lunch here but next time if we go there we are gonna stay here. You have the best view of the sea and can see North Bay Light house from here which appears on the back of your 20 rupee note.

This was the only pure veg hotel we found in Port Blair. You get all sort of south and north indian food, it was very delicious but slightly expensive. Eg. One south meal 200-250INR. Trust me food everywhere in Andaman is little expensive cus life in an island is difficult.
We 4 of us ate food 3-4 times from here and it dint cost too much although we were kn budget trip :-)
Thwy dont give hone Delivery.

A leading hotel in Port Blair, Andaman Islands. We believe that our guests should experience our Islands differently as compared to run of the mill tourists.Tell us what you expect from a holiday in this island paradise and we will customize the itinerary to suit your needs. The restaurant is one of its kind in the Islands where guests can choose from a list of the very best and fresh seafood ranging from live crabs, tiger prawns, squids, lobsters, barracuda, red snappers and various other catch of the day and have them prepared by our chefs according to individual taste & preference, and also select from a list of very affordable wines, premium scotch and beer.………..A combination unarguably unparalleled in the Islands !
Went there based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were mildly disappointed. Not sure about other places in Port Blair, but this one is certainly about OK. Service, food and ambiance - all were average. The first floor open Seating is slightly better. Not a place I would recommend as a must go.

The restaurant has at some places been mentioned as one of the best in Port Blair. If one considers the view, then maybe yes. But apart from the Indian dishes, by Indian I mean specifically the North Indian dishes like Chhole Bature, Chichen Makhani, etc. The soups, salads, burgers or even the South Indian or supposedly Andaman special dishes were not up to the mark.
In fact the first night, we had ordered for Caesar Salad and they put mustard sauce in that. Also, chicken hot and sour soup had very less of chicken and were filled with cabbage. The chicken burger had the store bought Venky's frozen chicken patty in it, which we have at home too. These kind of things were not expected at all

This restaurant is located about 10 Minutes walk from cellular jail and less than five minutes walk from Abeerdeen jetty.
Since we did not want to have beer(people who like to have beer must sit on first floor) we sat on the ground floor. Seating is nothing great to speak of. The restaurant seems to get very crowded during dinner time.We ordered Fish tikka, fish balti, prawns fried rice, butter naan and caramel custard. Food was served to us in fifteen minutes of placing order. All items that we ordered was just average.Fish balti is extremely spicy and hot(Server had said the same that Fish Balti will be very hot & spicy). Rates of dishes are from moderate to high. They don't accept credit cards.
Average restaurant for food at Port blair.

This restaurant is located at about five minutes walk from clock tower,Aberdeen bazaar towards police station. There are fish tanks inside restaurant other than this nothing good to speak of ambience.
We ordered surmai fish fry, squid salt and pepper, egg fried rice and nicobari surmai fish masala. Every dish ordered was just average and nothing great to speak about. Food will be served in five - ten minutes after placing order. Food cost is not costly but food tastes very average .

The proud residents of a cozy little basement in Junglighat, we are not the easiest to find, but a little help from the locals and you should find your way here. We make up for the hunt with our pure vegetarian menu, with an array of Indian, Chinese and Italian (pizzas and pasta) dishes. Our mocktails and starters are personal favourites of our regular visitors. We also have a mithai and chaat (Indian sweets and snacks) store on the first floor. PS: Don't miss out on our melt-in-mouth Motichoor laddoos!
The restaurant has a few cuisines but served in an Indian version. Slow service. The desserts on the menu looked tempting but out of say 10 only 2-3 were available.Thank You Mansi for taking the time out to write this review. We will look into the service matter and make sure that our guests do not face this in the future.

After a visit to the Cellular Jail, nothing better than power up with some good meal. Nevertheless this place is totally ordinary with average food. Very slow service and the room smelled like vinegar. Cleanliness needs to improve. Tried the prawn curry and the chicken roll and they were nothing special.

This small, Indian restaurant is probably listed in such guidebooks as Lonely Planet. It's a local restaurant, cheap prices, good food, + adjoining bakery. bakerbakery next
We have visited Port Blair in the last week and visited the Milan Restaurant/bakery. Their food is excellent, particularly Shawbarma (a non veg item). Also, chicken tandoori, chicken biriani, fried rice, tandoori roti are marvelous. Three persons can take lunch or dinner within a budget of Rs. 500/ 600.
