This is one of our regular stops in Polson. Great coffee, great location but it can be a little difficult to get back on to the highway in peak hours

At Cherries BBQ Pit we slow cook all our meat for many hours on the wood smoker with fruitwood. Everything is homemade and handmade daily, so it may vary slightly. From the rub on our meat (herbs & spices), homemade barbeque sauces to every side dish. We do it all. We have a few options for you when ordering. We have drive thru, pick up your BBQ for takeout, indoor deck dining or have a picnic outside on the lawn or at our picnic tables. Our hours are 11:00 am until sold out. Call ahead ordering is also an option, perfect when out on the lake. We are located across from the Polson liquor store just 2 blocks from the lake. Look for the BBQ flags.
The reviews were good so I knew we would be happy stopping here along on our road trip, but it was so good that we ended up visiting 2 days in a row!!! It is a small place, looks a bit like a coffee stand. It has a small dine in area, a small outside dining area with picnic tables and a drive through. The first day we visited it was late, and they only make so much of each thing and when it is gone.... it is gone for the day. So the Mr did not get to have brisket as it was sold out, as was the corn. However the special of the day was a Southwestern Spicy pork and it was oh so good. Each plate is $8-$10 and comes with 2 sides. The portions are big and very filling. One the first day we got 2 of the specials and had so much we ate it for lunch and dinner! The "fries" spiral cut potatoes in ribbons were a cross between a fry and a potato chip all hooked together. Sinfully yummy! We also got the Baked Beans - really good. The sandwiches were some of the best flavored pork I have ever tasted! The next day we went into Polson again from the State park early to do some grocery shopping and when we were done they were just opening so the Mr got his Brisket - he was in heaven! And this time the Bacon Cream Corn was also available so we got that and oh my - so delicious! The sauces are all really good - especially the Jalepeno Honey and the Siracha. They also had a special huckleberry lemonade that was really good. I got a large and saved half for late in the day and made an adult lemonade shaken with vodka than was amazing! If I am anywhere within a couple hundred miles of this place again.... you will find me there in no time!

Finley Point Grill offers steaks, seafood, chops and catering. There is a full bar and the dining room is open for lunch with a special, and for dinner seven days a week
We ate at the Finley Point Grill last September, while in Polson for our annual Montana month, and we thought it was very good. We decided to go back this September. We thought it was even better.
We (4 of us) had reservations for 5:30 on a Saturday night. It was a good thing we did because they were busy. We were seated immediately at a 4-top, one bench and two chairs. Our waitress, Lisa, was very quick with water, menus, and taking drink orders. I ordered a Martini, Dan ordered a beer, and the girls ordered a bottle of wine. The wine list was surprisingly varied and good. As an alternative to the wines on the list, Lisa gave us a choice of four wines on special that night. We chose a 2015 Willamette Valley Dundee Pinot Noir. It turned out to be excellent, as was my Martini (up, well shaken, icy cold, 3 olives, yumm).
The menu lists a variety of dishes, all of them sounded like they would be delicious. But our order was a no-brainer—we came for the prime rib (available Friday and Saturday only). Both couples split an 8-ounce prime rib. We had ours medium rare with a Caesar salad and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. The other couple ordered their prime rib medium (I cringed, but oh well) with a chopped salad and two baked potatoes.
The salad with Romaine lettuce, croutons, a creamy Caesar dressing and shaved Parmesan, was exceptional. I could go there to make a meal of just that. Our prime rib was cooked perfectly, was very tender and flavorful, and the au jus and horseradish sauce were perfect with it. They provided a second warm plate for us to split the order.
Desert was a chocolate concoction that we shared. Amazing.
What a wonderful evening out—the food, the ambience and the service were all great. Lisa made the evening exceptional. She was terrific. The noise level must have been very low because I never noticed it.
FYI, they do have two 6-top tables with two benches each, but you have to request those when you make reservations.

The Smokehouse is an old Montana lodge with a fireplace burning in winter and a shady flower filled patio for summer dining. The huge lawn ia also a wonderful place for the kids to play with our bunnies. They love it. We have a full service bar ,12 local brews on tap and a complete wine list.
We had been talking with the restaurant down the street about dinner for our family of 30 following our father’s funeral, and got no flexibility on issues like special dietary concerns. The East Shore Smoke House was refreshing on all fronts: friendly, responsive, and accommodating even of things like serving a birthday cake we brought in from outside. The food was very good, and the ambience pure Montana. The prime rib dinner could have fed our whole family, the steak Diane very tasty, the trout delicious, and the caesar salad both crisp and substantial. If you need to accommodate a group, or dine more intimately, try them.

The best thing about this restaurant is the T-shirts. Really you should think about selling them. This restaurant is definitely a local.favorite. The breakfast was good all the way across the board. They know how to cook crispy hash browns. The pancakes were the best. Solid choice.

We've worked in this area every summer for years but I'd never seen or heard of Mrs. Wonderful's before. The owners have recently moved to a building in view of the main street running through Polson. There are gluten free offerings including breakfast items and panini sandwiches. Everything is made fresh. There are always several baked goodies to choose from, too.

Had the Royal Delux single cheese burger served with fries. While definitely better than McDonalds Ithought it was average, personally I would take a What-A-Burger over this one. Anyway the fries were very good and it is one of the more affordable places in Polson to eat I waited in a 2 car line for better than 10 minutes. Bottom line, a good burger but by no means fabulous...

We love Mexican food in general and mole sauce in particular. My wife and I both had mole enchiladas that were delicious. Just three weeks before we had been in Puerto Vallarta where mole is served with many dishes. We have had better/finer Mexican food, but we have never had better mole sauce. The service was friendly and the view of Flathead Lake was awe inspiring.
