Hidden from sight from the main drag, this is an unadorned gem of a restaurant with kind and gracious waitresses.
“Standing room only” on a weekend waiting for a table the first time I was there, solo, I sat at the small, busy counter bar as an alternative to waiting for seating in this relatively small restaurant with tables and booths. Late, and during the week, with my partner, seating was more readily available.
The food is freshly and quickly prepared in generous and filling proportions. Loved the sweet plantains.

This classic American chophouse menu offers sumptuous culinary delights – including lobster claw and jumbo lump crab meat as well as a 16 oz. dry-aged porterhouse. Other entrees include half crispy duck and buttery grouper. If you’re looking for something casual we have several options from lobster wraps and cheeseburgers to entree salads. Whether you’re looking for a night of fine dining or a casual meal to enjoy; we look forward to serving you.
I know everyone gives this place glowing reviews, but I beg to differ. They have high end prices with a commonplace setting. No table clothes, glasses turned upside down right on the bare table, it's very loud, there was a spill over from happy hour, plus several unhappy children...hardly a place for a romantic dinner for two. The waitress did not anticipate our needs. The food was good (braised short ribs and crab cake) but not with the price tag, imo. I'm not sure if there is a quiet section in the place, but I would recommend you ask for one.

In 1984, Priscilla Moore, began making cheesecakes in her home near the village of Canadensis in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. The idea dawned on her to convince local chef's at resorts and restaurants to try her product. And a Business was born! After a few months a retail outlet opened on route 390 in Mountainhome, Pa. In just one year the overwhelming response was so much that they decided to expand to the current location on route 611 in Swiftwater. By 1994 she added a 2,400 square foot warehouse and more than doubled the original size of the baking and retail space. The Pocono Cheesecake Factory became one of the Must Try attractions in the Poconos. In 2007, Priscilla decided to ask her great Friends Al and Carole Johnson to carry on the tradition of uncompromising Quality and Freshness, supporting local farms sourcing our milk and cheese, and a customer experience that created the success to begin with.
I guess the good taste is the best rating, but the store appears unkempt and there is no indoor seating to sample your sweets there. Road construction at the present time causes traffic problems in the area, this too will pass. Wish they gave you the fruit topping in a separate container, then you could put it on the cheesecake when you eat it.

Barley Creek is a restaurant, microbrewery and microdistillery located in Tannersville, PA between The Crossings Premium Outlet stores and Camelback Mountain Resort. The restaurant is on six acres and the main building is a post and beam timber frame designed and built by Benson Woodworking (This Old House Fame) The Outdoor dining area, on the property, has a full service bar, pavilion, the best view of Big Pocono State Park (Camelback Mountain) and can accommodate very large groups events and yes this is the place that has a world class wiffle ball field, cornhole board courts, two Bocce Courts and a keg (Firkin) curling court in the winter.
Been coming here for years and most recently stopped here for a quick bite at noon on a Sunday. No wait. Lunch was excellent and they put families with young kids in the back which is ideal. Recommend the wings and pretzel. The beer list...MoreHI Jay, Thanks for visiting the Creek again. Glad we are getting it right. Don't forget to check out our breakfast concept - The Morning Toast - next time you are in the area. Cheers - Trip

Stopped for dinner with my wife on a Saturday evening. Was promptly seated and waitstaff was attentive and courteous. We both had dinners and the food came out very quickly! The food was good. If you are looking for something besides the chain restaurants and want to support a local business I would recommend this restaurant!

This was a tasty twist on the standard mojito, and it was served in a tall hurricane-style glass. The bartender, Bridgette, was very helpful and friendly.

The Casino Theatre and Village Malt Shoppe is a family-owned, family-oriented local landmark for more than 40 years. We have two movie theaters showing first-run films with digital projection and sound, including 3-D. We have great homemade food and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor serving more than 60 flavors of Hershey's Ice Cream, and are open for lunch and dinner every day. Family game room and mini golf, too.
My wife and I wanted to watch a movie. Instead of going to just any regular movie theater we found this place. It has two movie theaters inside but don't be fooled by the outside its actually a large theater capable of sitting a large number of people. However the inside shop is rather small. They had a children's birthday party inside so half the store was NOT available. Waited in line for popcorn for about 20 minutes. You can order food and they will deliver it inside the movie theater. However it can be distracting as they serve the food 30 minutes into the movie. Overall its a fun place to visit with the kids and watch a kid movie. Tickets were $7.50 per adult which wasn't bad at all. We had popcorn and a drink with some cotton candy. Give it a shot.

My vanilla latte was delicious. My eyes lit up when i saw this marvelous shop. The line was long but the baristas were great at keeping the line moving. They didn't have ALL of your normal options where food was concerned but it had all the basics!!

This is always our first stop on our Pocono weekends with friends. We always reserve the same table and arrive when the open. The staff usually laughs when we move the Rooster Decoration and place it in the center of our table. He is always...MoreThanks for the great review, we always enjoy a group that knows how to have a good time while enjoying a great meal at our restaurant. We hope to serve you all for many years to come. Thanks Rob Owner

Bistecca by Il Mulino is a fine dining Italian Steakhouse located at Mt Airy Casino Resort.
Certainly an A for effort but doesn’t rise to the level of a first class restaurant. The staff aims to please but their lack of professionalism and experience is evident. Filling glasses with tap water that contain San Pellegrino, wrong food selections, forgotten items. The venue is pretty and a welcome reprieve from the noise of the casino. Prices are expensive as most of the meals are the result of the casino comps. Beef quality could be better and the chef could go slightly easier on the salt.
Although we were assured the desserts are made daily, the tiramisu was not freshly made and lacked a robust coffee flavor.
Unless you are on a casino comp: skip it.
