Beachfront Dining and Cabins. Open year-round. 8 am-9 pm. Wide ranging menu with something for everyone. Homemade desserts, breads, salad dressings, sauces, etc.
Right on the beach with usually a nice breeze and perfect view of the majestic sunsets. Lots of American, Canadian, Italian ex-pats. Very friendly. You can count on football games being full of spirited fans. People there are very friendly.
We loved the while friend fish, the jumbo shrimp, all the fish dishes and the sinful cheeseburger with lots of sauted onions.
Service is fun and friendly.
They serve all three meals every day.

Oceano is the place to eat casual in Playa Zancudo! Open air, beautiful surroundings, fabulous owner Elena is as sweet as she can be! Don't miss the Costa Rican delicious alternative to potatoes called "Fried Patacones"; they are delish and Elena and her staff make them fresh! Oh, did I mention the freshly made pasta and hamburger buns??? and she has an ice cream parlor there as well!

Albertos is a fabulous restruant for a lovely, romantic dinner...the food is absolutely grand (homemade fresh ravioli with multiple sauces to choose from were our choices); Mama Rose's pasta sauce and the mushroom sauce were to die for! An unexpected treat in this small beachfront village! We love Playa Zancudo and Albertos! Ambience was perfect for romance.....

As usual, our group was served a delicious lunch. Everybody seemed to have something different from their famous hamburgers to fried fish to ceviche to nachos, and everyone was thoroughly pleased.
The atmosphere is beautiful, and the chairs are very comfortable, something not always encountered n CR restaurants.
Highly recommend in Golfito.
You can legally park alongside the street in town; it's sort of a Golfito tradition. Just don't totally block the sidewalk.

Sailed in and did a water landing to have a late lunch. The grounds include cabins for rent and next to Golfito Wildlife Refuge. They offer a great variety of options but opted for the grilled fish and plantains. Both were made fresh to order. Others in my party ordered arroz con pollo / shrimp. Everything tasted amazing. Their portions are large so you won't go away hungry. Don't look for a quick turnaround time, it took some time to prepare. Take the time to enjoy an ice cold beer and stroll the beach while waiting to eat. The people working the restaurant are very friendly. Would definitely go back.
