Called in here for lunch on Friday during first week of September. The waiter was extremely openly grumpy! Was quite shocked at his attitude. We wanted to sit outside with the view as it had just cleared up after some overcast windy weather. He seemed annoyed about this and having to get the seat inserts for the chairs which had been put away. There was already a family sat outside so it wasn't like we were the only ones. We ordered a Greek salad for my husband and a chicken skewer for myself. The salad came out almost immediately, initially I was quite impressed but then as I slowly watched my husband eat and finish his salad I wondered if mine had been forgotten or why they had sent out one dish without the other? Mine finally arrived after my husband had finished eating. I honestly cannot understand why they did not hold one dish, especially with it being a salad until the other was ready. Really it completely spoilt what could have been a really lovely lunch. Waiter did actually wave goodbye when we left so maybe his extreme grumpiness is meant to be a novelty factor here?!

After Reading all the reviews we sought out the Blue Coast particularly to sample the Meze platter for two. We were very disappointed as this does not represent our experience of an authentic meze which should be a small plate with a mix of tasty bites to share.
We have found out that portions in most tavernas here are unusually large and this was no exception; the platter could have easily served 4-6 people. However it was the content that was our main criticism, there were very large dollops of dips including the spicy cheese dip, not very nice bread, two huge deep fried cheese rolls, cheese stuffed pepper, all in all a greasy, calorific nightmare which was well below expectations.
On the other hand the chicken souvlaki and pork chop were beautifully cooked although let down by the frozen tasteless chips.
The service was good and we were dissuaded from ordering too much in view of the size of the meze. The cost was reasonable but the food was catering for mass tourism and not offering the best of authentic Greek food.
To sum up, great cooking of meat dishes, shame about the rest.

We had pizza in this restaurant and it is all freshly made and cooked in front of you. The pizzas are very large and also very delicious.
The service was very good and the staff friendly. It is a very busy restaurant and was always quite full whenever we went past it.
The cost of the meal was very reasonable at 40 euros including wine and beer.
Would definitely return to this restaurant and would recommend it.

You find a very nice and local kind of athmosphere here, you actually feel like being in a greek restaurant dining here as lots of Greeks also seem to chose this restaurant
Nice greek food, big menu card
Absolutely worth a visit while being in Syvota!

We hadn't booked and the place was packed but the head waiter managed to squeeze us in. The restaurant was buzzing and the waiters dashing about but we were served well with local wine and seafood. We had prawns in tomato sauce with feta for starters with some bread for dunking - delicious. Then we wanted some fish so the waiter took us to the fridge to choose from today's catch. He recommended a large sea brem between us, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our only regret being that we didn't order chips to go with it, instead of going with his recommendation of steamed vegetables. However, this was rectified soon enough.

On a day trip to Sivota and decided to have a walk to this hotel. As we only wanted a drink we were told to sit upstairs. What a lovely view. Went into the hotel as unsure how to get a drink. Lovely girl on reception helped me. We had three large beers, bottle of sparkling water and a large white wine. The bill was €18 which I don't think it's too expensive and also got a lovely plate of tomato, cucumber, feta cheese bread and olives that was free. Would come back.

It was the first time we'd been to this restaurant although we come to Sivota quite regularly. There was no special reason for our not having been there before, except that there is another Italian restaurant we've become fond of which is closer to the place we stay in and in a more sheltered position than this one is. The restaurants along the waterfront tend to get rather crowded and, even with the attraction of the very nice view and in an excellent position for people-watching, we still prefer smaller, quieter places.
The menu is quite extensive, the staff efficient and friendly and the service pleasingly swift.
We ordered a four-cheese pizza, which was enormous and tasted good, together with an equally nice rocket and parmesan salad. The food was very reasonably priced and I would recommend the restaurant for an all-round pleasant eating experience.

To be recommended ..... Ostria is set slightly behind the main front in Sivota but is busy even at the close of the season (late September).
We'd had the restaurant recommended as well as the lamb dish ....which didn't fail to impress!
Perfectly tender lamb, pomegranate, herbs, flavours and a good red wine..... definitely go there!!

Basically the food is good, but this is just one of many typical Greek restaurants. You can order traditional greek Food, as well as some pasta or different varieties of meet. Service was fast and good.
It might be overcrowded at night, but it is very normal in Syvota (unfortunatelly).

Really helpful and understanding staff. Most drinks, which are good value anyway are accompanied by a small tapas plate. The fish was really fresh and beautifully cooked. No huge sign to indicate where it is- first bar next to the Port roundabout looking NW
