This Is An Excellent Sandwich Shop
It's often advised that when traveling, we should seek out the advice of the locals for dining recommendations. Fieldhouse is one of those places Plainview citizens would list as a fave every time. The new owners kept all the great long-time favorites, but they also added several new items such as flatbread pizzas and desserts. I've always been a fan of the salads, but am now ADDICTED as the new owners upped their game with delicious romaine lettuce instead of the iceberg from before.
Locals will also tell you that this is the place to experience true Plainview hospitality. The staff is always friendly and make you feel at home. They know my order the second my foot enters the door and always serve it up with a smile. The food is also extremely consistent which to me is the hallmark of a great restaurant.

Great place for coffee and conversation. Soup, salad & sandwich lunch menu is tasty and well prepared. Internet is available. Open from early morning to late at night.

Frisco Bakery is on our list of places we frequent for breakfast. We love the place and the menu options. We usually end up taking wonderful pastries home with us. Hope this place lasts forever.

Made a visit for the chicken fried steak Monday special. My mother in law and her husband were with us. Restaurant was not very busy. I ordered the special while they ordered one special to split. When they arrived my steak was smaller than either of their halves. It was also smaller than any lunch size one I have ever had. I will likely not be back.

We frequent Seasons Way for a sandwich and soup for lunch. The selections hit our sweet spots, the soup and sandwiches are very good and the ambiance is comforting.

Very juicy, tasty brisket! You can also buy other meats like chicken, sausages, pork, ribs and also many side items. Prices are very reasonable. Loved the beans. As the name says Week Ends - thus opens during weekend only. Easy to find small place since the smoker is at the front.

First time here, and we were pleased it was clean and prompt. The food was basic, but filling. There was plenty of chicken in their enchiladas and tacos, but the chicken lacked flavor. The checkout was quick, which also suited us since we were on a tight schedule.

We hit Taqueria Jalisco frequently for breakfast. We enjoy the authentic sauces and even the more typical breakfast entrees. Our only complaint is the quality of the coffee. The ability to offer gormet coffee anywhere has spoiled us.

My family and I stopped in at Lockney to try out the BBQ. I cook myself so I have to try BBQ every chance there is. We all had the two meat plate. The portions were huge, the price and quality was the best I have had anywhere in Texas.
If you want the best BBQ in these parts go see Lance and his family. They will get your belly full for a very reasonable price.

We took our real estate agent and spouse to dinner at Tokyo to say thanks for selling our home. The steak was mediocre and tough. The showmanship was acceptable, but not up to most Japanese Restuarants we have visited. The meals were overpriced for for especially for Plainview. Next time we want the Japanese experience, we will make the effort to drive to Lubbock.
