My spouse and I went out for lunch, and I ordered the Salmon Salad, with avocados, lime vinaigrette on the side, spinach, mushrooms, and a hot chocolate. Everything was delicious, tho they used to have a salad with candied walnuts, cranberries, blueberries and chicken, and that no longer is offered. My spouse had the Mango Free-range chicken Panini, which was terrific! The porter he ordered was expensive but good. I have not had a bad or only so-so meal here ever, and can definitely recommend it as a reliable tasty meal.

Had morning coffee with great conversation with staffers. Fun and intimate little coffee shop downtown Placerville. You have to hunt for it, next to historic hotel, but worth the chase. Indoor and outdoor seating; limited menu with lots of tofu and organic stuff but also fun food for others and kids. Great hideaway for a half hour's worth of morning sojourn before doing anything serious.

Ordered Chicken fajita w/o pico de gallo and cilantro rice. Plate came with pico de gallo which apparently at this restaurant has jalapeños in it. They also gave me extra blackbeans. Lots of red and green peppers, lacking in onions. Tasty. Also served a nice assortment of salsas and warm bean dip with their chips. Very attentive staff. Clean interesting facility. Right in downtown Placerville.

Had a great lunch in a wonderful setting while visiting Placerville. Had the clam chowder, chefs salad and both were delicious along with very attendant and pleasant wait staff. Highly recommend this place. The place was a warm and comfortable setting

We got there right when it opened and were greeted immediately by a very pleasant woman. She explained the specials of the day. We both ordered mushroom cheeseburgers; I had clam chowder and my friend had fries.
You order at the counter, then seat yourself. We had a choice of sitting in the front on bar stools or at the window, in the dining area behind the kitchen, or outside on the back patio. It was a little chilly, so we sat in the dining area which had great skylights to make it a bright place to sit. The whole place is very clean, including the restrooms.
The food came out quickly and was delivered to our table. The burger was so big I couldn't fit it in my mouth. Juicy, flavorful! The clam chowder wasn't typical New England--had a more Western, peppery taste to it. Very good, too. What was the best surprise was the fries. They were so crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Excellent!
The server came and checked on us twice while we ate, and everyone wished us a nice day as we left. What a pleasant experience! I'll be back.

Serving American Fusion Cuisine
This is the third time we have eaten here and we still enjoy the food. The servers are very pleasant, the prices are reasonable, and eating outside is warm and pleasant, and eating inside is ok, tho a bit loud. The chairs are all wooden seats which get a bit uncomfy after an hour, and their booth seats are getting soft and cracking. However, the wood chairs are solid, and have good backs. The food is very good. Their hot chocolate comes hot, and with full milk. The four of us had lunch on a weekday, and the service was good, not too many people there, but somehow the acoustics make conversation hard to hear. We had to raise our voices to hold conversation. Our server was prompt and professional. My Portobello Mushroom burger was delicious! I ordered the daily soup with it, Tomato Bisque, and was sated but not too full. My spouse had the California chicken Sandwich with fries, which were great, not greasy, tho a bit too much salt on them. He liked the chicken tenderness and the bread, but was stuffed! One friend had the ABLT, Avocado on a normal BLT, and she had the salad as her side. Very good, very happy. The other friend had the pulled pork chipolte and enjoyed it. In fact, he usually doesn't give positive reviews, just "it's okay" but this time he said he actually liked it.

Went here with family for dinner. The Pilsner and IPA was enjoyed by two of the diners, while I had a good hot chocolate. The rosemary beef medallions with mashed potato and delicious veggies was good, as the meat was cooked exactly to taste and the rosemary flavoring was very rosemary. The chicken salad was large with tasty candied walnuts, cranberries, and a blackberry vinaigrette. My spouse had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich with sweet potato planks, for an extra $2.50, and while the sandwich was good, the planks were a bit bland, not much sweet potato taste. I had the Roberto sandwich with tomato slices instead of fries, and while I really enjoyed the eggplant and peppers and cheese, the sourdough toast was so buttered that I had greasy fingers every time I picked it up. That was not to my taste. I usually enjoy my meals here, and still did in general, but the first couple years they were open they had a lot of options that appealed to me, and their menu has changed recently or within the past year, and not as much appeals.

Hog Wild catered my friend's wedding a few months ago...I'm still having sensual fat dream about this place:
Melt in your mouth tender beef brisket...
Savory smoked chicken...
Classic Mac N Cheese...
Tasty Collard Greens...
Fresh rolls and buttery cornbread...
The plentiful BBQ sauce is smokey, sweet, and freaking delicious.
I'm not sure how much all this costs, but Bride and Groom said it was a great deal and cheaper than other wedding caterers they met. All I know is that I ate a lot of everything in this bountiful and blissful BBQ buffet.

Many people ask us to describe our restaurant. In a word…FRESH! Our mission is to bring something different to the table and stand in a class of our own. We are passionate about using the freshest, most wholesome ingredients available, sourcing our food from local farms and suppliers when seasonably available. Our menus change with each season and we continually offer unique specials. During the day, we offer a variety of the freshest, most flavorful sandwiches on our ciabatta bread baked fresh daily. Our salads and soups are made from scratch. When dinner is served, we upscale the restaurant and change the mood with white linens, table service, and a more refined menu featuring our famous Duck Confit and Pork Osso Bucco. And when Sunday morning rolls around, you can’t forget our Sunday Brunch Menu featuring our Creme Brulee French Toast, our Bacon Pancakes, or Duck Hash. Our goal is to provide our guests with a unique and memorable dining experience.
Not bad, and not great either. When a restaurant offers brunch only once a week on Sundays it probably doesn't specialize in brunch. But it is a cute place, with friendly staff.
$11.75 Farmer's Omelet...sausage, ham, bacon and a cheese of your choosing. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't anything special and tasted like something anyone could easily make at home. The potatoes were just okay. The wife got the same, and splashed on a lot of hot sauce in search for flavor. We probably should've picked something more unique, but we were both hungover and the Farmer's Omelet hits the spot for hangovers.

My wife and I have enjoyed many meals at Bricks. You can enjoy American style cuisine with very good service. They offer excellent choices of beer and wine. The atmosphere is fun and lively, but not to loud. If you are in Placerville try this excellent restaurant.
