Stopped by after Sliding Rock with the grandchildren. It was great. The have so many flavors that the kids were confused. But, they loved what they finally ordered. Make sure you say small if you want small portions. We couldn't finish it all. Not sure what kind of ice cream it is, but it was wonderful! A great way to end the day. The place was very crowded as some buses just pulled up when we were leaving.

Had lunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for our group of 5. Was told there was a 20 minute wait, but was seated in 10 minutes. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed with the amount of people there, but were all very friendly and attentive. Started off our meal with the fried pickles...yum! We all had different plates of food to share. Ribs were tender, white chicken was also good, but a little dry. Wasn’t a big fan of the hush puppies, too small...therefore the oil taste took over the bite. Pulled pork...again...yum! I would definitely come back if I ever visited the area again.

A tradition since 1942, Rocky's Grill & Soda Shop is a Brevard, North Carolina landmark. Step into Americana and belly up to the lunch counter for homemade food and dairy delights. Rocky's old-fashioned goodness will bring back sweet memories while we are creating new memories for tomorrow.
Lunch here was terrific. I had a Turkey sandwich that was divine, and a homemade chocolate shake that was heavenly. My waitress was personable and friendly. The decor is a 50's diner look and there is a gift shop attached to the seating area where you can find local wares, T shirts, and other clothing. The sandwich was a bit pricey, especially since it only came with potato chips, but I really enjoyed the meal.

On a hot summer evening, a cold icy treat sounded good so we headed to Brevard for a gelato fix. Kiwi Gelato has a cold case full of the standard flavors as well as many imaginative creations. You may have trouble choosing, so ask for a taste. We chose fresh peach which was outstanding. On the evening we visited Kiwi, there was a steady stream of gelato lovers coming and going. Kiwi offers offers several sizes. We found that even the regular size was too much. I noticed the espresso menu with many standard espresso drinks as well as several interesting creative flavors. And affogato! Outstanding quality gelato in the North Carolina mountains courtesy of a transplanted New Zealander. Head to Brevard and look for the kids of all ages sitting in sidewalk adirondack chairs with smiles on their faces.

Ok, so we're coffee nuts but we stumbled on this. Look in the door and you'll see a thriving bike shop, but to the right is a coffee bar. And a great one. The coffee is excellent and the baked treats are delightful. What a great stop in a beautiful area and right on the way to DuPont Park.

A downtown Brevard, NC restaurant since 1993. Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and great service are all part of The Falls Landing experience.
We had a snapper and the fish and chips - both were good. But the one piece of old bread each; the tomato sauce in a plastic cup and the French fries, that are not chips left me wondering where they felt they were competing in the Brevard market.

My husband, daughter and I had lunch there. Hibachi shrimp and hibachi salmon, both very good. Served with lightly steamed vegetables and choice of brown or white rice. I was disappointed that they didn't have my favorite mustard sauce. The portions seemed small when served on the beautifully elegant white plates but I found myself unable to eat it all so clearly they were sufficient. We enjoyed our meals.

This little place is tucked in an alley and definitely worth the search. We happened to discover it one afternoon when we were passing through Brevard. Their chocolates are handmade, and they have a nice variety of white, milk, and dark chocolates. The pecan caramel chocolate truffle I chose made my day, and my husband was equally pleased with his assorted selections. The friendly, patient staff can answer your questions and won't hurry you. We'll definite return the next time we drive through Brevard!

I will drive from Greenville, SC, back to Brevard just to eat here again. Inventive menu, beautifully executed. Generous portions. Chef+staff visit to Thailand well worth it. Maitre(ss?) d' cleverly worked a way forwe 2 to join 4 who had a reservation. You HAVE to have a reservation, particularly on Monday nights.
