I grew up in a German family and have visited Germany many times. So finding good German food is always a treat, especially in the South. Waldhorn is my fix when I visit friends in Charlotte. I love the wurst platter as a good starter to share. The selection of wurst is great, well prepared, and served with excellent German-style sauerkraut. This time several of us had the sauerbraten and I liked the sides that came with it but the meat itself was a bit more dry and less spicy than I had on my previous visit.
The setting is really nice and the service staff were excellent and knew the dishes very well. They also have a great selection of German beers and wines. If you want to leave the South and enter into a German setting, this is a nice place to do that.

I went to MJ's on the suggestion of a friend. I bought a chocolate covered cake donut, a cinnamon roll, a glazed donut and a few donut holes. The glazed donut was exceptional, whereas the cake donut was just average. Tasty but nothing special.

Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds two or more and BUCA LARGE feeds four or more. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our decor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. Our energetic atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff make Buca di Beppo the perfect place for great Italian food and fun.
The Italian ambience of the restaurant is at its best! The warmth scent aroma of Italian food reminds you of home growing up. The eggplant parmigiana had crispy edges with warm soft middle, the side dish of Parmesan chicken. Fresh tomatoes. I forgot to get an original picture of the food. Check out some the decorative rooms. Pretty cool!

While the food is good and the service is uncommonly friendly and attentive, it process is sloooow. Don't expect to stop in for a last minute bite before your meeting. The place is interestingly decorated and always clean.
Getting there early is not only because of the slow kitchen, but early means fewer people and fewer people means less background noise. (We like quiet dining.)

I have high expectations when it comes to sushi and this place did not disappoint! We enjoyed eating at the sushi bar and talking with the chefs and getting their recommendations. The variety, freshness and taste were all excellent. Staff was also friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I recommend the all you can eat sushi and sliders to get a taste of many different items. This will be a regular stop for me on my trips to the Charlotte area.

The atmosphere is very fast food oriented, so is ordering food, but the food is a good bit better than normal fast food fare. They have some nice Peruvian sides and drinks to experiment with. The plantains and yucca fries were bot very good. The roasted chicken was so-so, not particularly distinguishable as Peruvian. I had the dark meat quarter, and it was a very small portion. My daughter had the white meat portion which was larger, but fairly dry. The other members of our party had wraps and salads which were better portions, and tasted better as well.

Has been open for over 2 years....Mon - Sat: 7:00 am-4pm Breakfast / Lunch<br>The Dive N : 704-889-DIVE (3483)
The staff are so SWEET! The Dive N is filled with cool memorabilia from the olden golden days of the 1950's with a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, fries, sodas.
It's ALWAYS BUSY at lunch time because the food is great and not overly expensive. The staff has it worked out so that they are efficient and get you in, get you served, get you full and fulfilled, and back out the door to work or wherever.
Plus they have a great card they punch every time you Dine N so you may earn a FREE LUNCH pretty quickly! Pretty great way to show customer appreciation and they appreciate US!

Don Pedro is a good choice in the Charlotte Mexican food scene. They have a stacked menu with lots of different options. Like most Mexican restaurants, they'll start you out with complimentary chips and salsa. That can be dangerous, but oh so delicious at the same time.
Most of the staff is helpful and friendly. Ask for Kevin! He goes above and beyond to make your visit exceptional!
I was disappointed with my last visit and the Mexican stir fry I ordered, it definitely wasn't as good as the first time I picked - several months earlier.
It's ok. Things happen, and I have had several other great things from Don and his staff. That won't deter me from returning.
Saturday nights can get a little loud with a live mariachi band making the rounds as well as other music they may be playing to salute folks celebrating a cumpleaños. (That's Spanish for birthday! C'mon people.. look it up!)
When you are finished eating and ready to settle your tab, they will top off your tummy with complimentary sweet dessert tortilla chips! Yum!

This is a great burger and frozen custard place, but don't let fool you into thinking that's all you can get here. They have other choices too. And although you think 'fast food' they serve fresh food and it's not greasy in any way. The employees are always pleasant and provide good service. Once thing I love about them (I know this sounds odd) is that they have a soda fountain you can serve yourself and it offers Diet Root Beer and it's delicious.

Chef Bernard has a lovely restaurant in Pineville. Went with a party size of 12 with a fixed menu price $47.00. The menu promised was different that what was presented to us at the table. We were offered Cod instead of Carolina Trout, Pork instead of Lamb. We asked about this the Chef Barnard blamed it on the person who made reservation. This was untrue and he should have informed us prior to arrival. The Cod was not fresh and had a smell to it. The portion were small. We had to ask for bread and coffee and tea were not offered as this was on our menu also. Do not try the Panna Cotta dessert. BEWARE!
