It is roughly coterminous with the 12566 ZIP code and 744 telephone exchange in the 845 area code. These both extend into adjacent regions of the Town of Shawangunk in Ulster County. (The Pine Bush Central School District takes in part of the Town of Mamakating in Sullivan County as well). The population was 1,780 at the 2010 census.

Headed to tour in Walkill, happened upon this gem. Extensive menu. Husband had a huge bowl of perfect barley soup. Salads, omelette, burgers, all good. Service was terrific and owner on site kept all hustling.
Retains authentic diner decor. Clean and comfortable as we had some space in big booths.

I had a bus group of 50 touring in Wallkill. After we completed our Winery tour I took the bus to Wagners. I had called the night before and informed them I was coming, and they were all ready for us. We had a great outing there, the service was great and the Ice Cream treats were grand! So many flavors to choose from! All in the group were very happy with our visit.

It was very convenient to my hotel. I drove thru and there were only two women working. I asked if it was just the two of them because they were literally running to complete the order. They said one of the girls overslept by accident and was on her way in. I have to say the fact that these ladies were on it and picking up the slack shows how dedicated and professional they were!

I always enjoy eating here. I don't mind that it's a 45 minute drive. Whether you are a vegetarian or not--the food is just plain delicious!
This is a small charming place, clean and inviting. The young man who works here is so nice and helpful. The food is always fresh and delicious. The menu is filled with many choices. I have a shellfish allergy so knowing that EVERYTHING is vegetarian--I don't have to worry about cross contamination like I do with other Chinese restaurants. I can just enjoy my food.
Whether omnivore, vegetarian or vegan, if you want amazing Chinese food, try this place! You will be happy you did :-).

My husband I love the Hoot Owl! Awesome, fresh, cooked from scratch food at really reasonable prices... Plus a great vibe of locals and visitors. We like to visit the Hoot Owl after a hike at Minnewaska. They have local Whitecliff wine and a menu that'll please everyone including those looking for some unique flavors. Hands-on owners and a fresh feel, love it. Last time we had the fish sandwich which was the BEST, some really excellent cocktails, Tandoori chicken wings (yum), and the excellent dips.

This is an authentic Asian restaurant in a small town with some of the best Sushi and high quality food around. Monday through Thursday is steady but on the weekend it gets crowed and it's not that large so I would call ahead and make reservations. Very nice atmosphere with great service. I highly recommend it to all.

I saw the reviews for this place and was excited to try some delicious Mexican food at a local shop. Boy was I disappointed. We went on a Thursday afternoon so the place was nice and empty, but the waitress "greeted" us with a definite "I don't want to be here attitude", told us to sit anywhere and asked if we wanted the buffet or menus. After checking out the buffet, which had a pretty nice variety but looked like everything was hard and had been sitting there a while, we both opted to see the menu. The menu had a nice variety as well and I went with the beef taco salad while my mom got cheese enchiladas. After bugging us 3 times in a mastery of minutes to see if we were ready, the waitress them disappeared and didn't come back for our order for another 10min. Food came quickly and hot. Too bad out wasn't very good. My taco salad looked great. It was large with great toppings but once I tasted it I was underwhelmed. It was bland and mostly lettuce under ask those toppings. It was also very dry and not even the sour cream and guac could save it. I'd seen someone else's review say the guac was bad but figured how bad could it be . The enchiladas were also bland and looked like they just dumped white queso over rolled tortillas. Nothing had flavor except the salsa and chips, which were brought out after we'd already ordered. The salsa treated like a combo of tomato paste and chipotle in adobo.
All in all, we won't be back. We'll head to Middletown next time we want Mexican food. Too bad, I was really hoping to like this place.

Earlier this fall I tried this place after the management changed. I was disappointed with their fare compared to the old owner. Now, after several months, they seemed to have their act together. The menu has changed and the food has improved.
It's good to know there's good Chinese food close to my home.

Jim had Ahi Tuna sandwich with black bean salsa, a cheeseburger that was delicious with fresh sweet potato wedges! Great table delivery!
The decorator is very tasteful! This is our 5th visit since it has opened!
Definitely recommend!
