14 & Hudson is a new kitchen and bar located in Piermont, NY, serving affordable "New American" bistro favorites accentuated with unique and flavorful twists. With an affinity for locally sourced ingredients, guests are treated to culinary creations that showcase the bounties of the Hudson Valley and Central New Jersey farms. At the helm of 14 & Hudson is Chef and Owner Eric Woods, a CIA graduate who draws from his considerable experience as Executive Chef in some of NYC's most popular restaurants to deliver inventive flavors produced from the freshest ingredients of the highest quality to his guests. In a perfect alignment of kismet, the restaurant's name was inspired by the serendipitous convergence of time, place, and - (yes) birth order! To wit: the restaurant, perched on the banks of the scenic Hudson River opened in 2014, and Eric is the youngest of no fewer than 14 siblings! The relaxed, inviting ambience of 14 & Hudson beckons diners to enjoy a laid-back meal, palate-pleasing appetizers, and refreshing cocktails and craft beers. Robert Hoene of Hoene Architects in Piermont designed the state of the art kitchen addition and outdoor deck. While Caitlin Burck of Piermont Design Group and Paula Clemente Woods reimagined the interior to include a long bar and 45-seat dining room fitted with warm woods, ambient lighting and comfortable seating that encourages guests to linger. The chic upstairs event space provides a perfect venue for a private event, and the outdoor deck with views of Piermont's charming rustic streets completes the picture during the warmer months. Drawing from the abundance of local artistic talent, the walls are adorned with artwork by Piermont locals. Award-winning singer Tom Chapin's evocative photographs of the Hudson Valley and surrounding region are featured, and Frances Wells' luminous paintings of banks of the Hudson River highlight the earthy tones of the second floor event space. 14 & Hudson is located at 457 Piermont Avenue, Piermont, NY, and will be open six days a week for happy hour, dinner, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
We called in without a reservation. The place was full and the greeter said the wait could be about 45 minutes. We went for a stroll along the waterfront (well worth it) and before the time was up got notification our table was ready.
The service was great.
We had a couple of starters, artichoke dip and octopus, both were lovely.
For mains we had different tacos and Caesar salad. All were excellent.
It's clearly a popular place and one we would return to on our next visit. Do make time to take a walk along the waterfront path for great views of the water and bridge.

Went to a birthday party here and was blown away by the passed appetizers. Everyone serves the same old appetizers at parties and these were just so unique and delicious. One was a chip with a dabble of sauce that blew us away with its perfect mix of crunch, flavor and after taste. The wontons and curry sauce were so good I kept following the wait staff for more. The service was actually impeccable. I was so impressed with the views the service and the food I will battle Long Island traffic to head back up to Irvington to do it again.

First time at Il Fresco, and am already looking forward to a return visit! Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and he was also extremely pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The veal saltimbocca was excellent, salad was fresh and crisp, bread was warm and right out of the oven—everything was just perfect. The tartuffo amaretto dessert was incredible! Highly recommend Il Fresco—the whole dinner was just terrific!

We arrived at 4:53 for a 5:00PM reservation. We were told (even though the door was open) they were closed and weren't opening for 7 minutes and to please wait outside. I think the look of surprise on my face made the woman finally say that we could wait at the bar. Really? Not off to a good start. The 4 of us were seated at the window which was lovely, but, unfortunately, the speakers were right there - LOUD!!! We were told that their speaker system was broken and were using this instead. Fine, but please lower it. They did, still right there in our face and they finally moved it more towards the outdoor seating area - everyone could here it just fine. Our waitress, Jennifer was nice and accommodating. For a bar, the chardonnay offerings amounted to 1 - it was cold and crisp and good, but would have loved to have a choice. The DVine Bar has a very limited menu and for 2 of us, nothing really appealed so the pizza was ordered and the smoked chicken. Ordered the bacon sliders, which I was told were ok and the roasted cauliflower for appetizers. The cauliflower was good but the parmesan crust was funky. We waited close to 30 minutes for the appetizers - we were starved. Finally asked for some bread. Of course, the apps came less than 5 minutes after the bread. We ordered the pizza of the day, lobsta roll, bison and smoked chicken. Again, waiting for the entrees seemed like forever. And they were not crowded. The chicken was delicious, but you were given 2 small pieces The mac and cheese was ok. We don't mind spending money for good food, but $30 for 2 small pieces of chicken was crazy. The bison was good as was the corn polenta but the corn tortilla was horrible. The pizza was soggy. Even though the ends were burnt, the whole bottom part of the pizza was soggy, probably because there was so many wet ingredients on it. The slice would just flop down and it was pretty awful. Even said something - no response. The lobsta roll - well, let's just say it's not really a lobsta roll. Very tiny pieces of lobster with mayo and a sauce that just drowned the poor sucker. Served on a soggy brioche bun. But their homemade potato chips are yummy. One and done. So many other great places in the area.

Tables and chairs were filthy. Facility was hot and air conditioning was inadquate. At noon, they were already "out of" half the items listed on the chalkboard for lunch, even though there were very few patrons. There is no service; you get the food yourself from the counter. Food was pretty awful. Cold salad and cooked sandwich were tasteless and seemed to be prepared days ago. This place should stick to the bakery section and leave dining to those who know what they are doing.

Very lively atmosphere, basically a bar with resturaunt seating on the side. The BBQ was good, the star was the brisket! Had the combo for one, baby back ribs which were a little dry for me, pulled short rib was nice, but the brisket was great done North Carolina style with that little vinegar taste. The service was great, if you are in the area check it out.

Excellent food in an elegantly confortable setting. I had the surf and turf, which may seem unimaginative, but it was beautifully prepared and presented. Good restaurant for business, but a bit expensive.

Meet the Business Owner: Miguel- Manuel - Established in 2013 Madeira, a beautiful Portuguese island and inspiration for the atmosphere of the newly opened Bistro 12 in Tarrytown. Jose Manuel Goncalves Pereira and Luis Miguel Rodrigues have known each other since the age of 17, so it's hardly surprising that Bistro 12 evokes the landscape of their youth. Miguel Rodrigues' artwork is the product of a life-long passion. You will see memories of his country come alive - the markets, families, city and country scenes he loves. Enjoying a variety of painting styles, he has produced over 1500 works of art in his Yonkers studio, and has chosen the most evocative paintings with which to decorate the walls of his newest venture.
We made a reservation to meet out of town friends at this restaurant for its first seating.
From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed. The 2 servers were cold and gave an aloof vibe.
Food was fine but overall dining experience was tainted by this attitude. It was not the pleasant dining experience that we had hoped to have.

This is a delightful, quirky coffee shop with outstanding cappuccino, ice coffee and excellent brewed decaf. The environment is unique and they do a very good business with locals and cyclists. Also, fabulous baked goods. Enjoy it and then enjoy the rest of Piermont !!

Stumbled onto Bridge View Tavern a while ago and had a great experience, so when was in a neighborhood again, went for a return visit.
What a wonderful, unpretentious place with great service and good food! A real neighborhood gem.
Everything was delicious - onion soup had lots of tasty cheese, "build-a-burger" was cooked just right, Disco fries did not disappoint, and chocolate lava cake flowed delicious chocolate.
The atmosphere was so cozy and friendly, and you could really see the bridge out the windows!
The best part was our waitress, Patti, whose services we enjoyed on the previous visit as well. She really knows how to welcome guests and make them feel appreciated and taken care of! She stopped by often to check on things, see if we needed anything, and just to share a joke or a kind word. Really made our visit special.
The plentiful meal with soft drinks, shared dessert and two coffees was just over $50, before tax and tip - a great value!
Looking forward to coming back again!
