Petoskey, sitting on the shores of Lake Michigan, has been a popular vacation spot for decades. Earnest Hemingway spent the first 18 summers of his life sailing and fishing on nearby Walloon Lake, and the area features prominently in several of his stories. The Little Traverse History Museum shows how the Petoskey area was a formative influence on young Hemingway. The area is also a well known winter destination, with three popular ski resorts featuring everything from dog sled rides to tubing.

Artisan coffee and tea bar serving European style pastries made on site as well as gluten free baked donuts and seasonally inspired soups. Specializing in brewed-to-order single-origin coffees, loose-leaf teas and espresso drinks. Top of the line brew gear, single origin chocolates and coffees and teas for home brewing also available in our retail section.
Great to find a coffee shop that has both great nosh (including the gluten-free stuff), excellent coffee, and an atmosphere that allows for the art of conversation. Most modern coffee shops are way too noisy for me. Food, drink and service all exceptional.

Tried both the fish fry, available Thursdays & Fridays, your choice of cod or perch, baskets are $10, excellent, 4 pcs with fries & excellent coleslaw, We also tried the original gyros & they were fair, we are quite spoiled by Olga's in the Detroit area, Olga's have gyro making down to a perfect science, so these were not quite as good & quite salty.

I haven't been to a Thai restaurant in nearly 2yrs since moving from NC to MI. Thai Orchid did not disappoint! They have a varied menu, not too overwhelming. Their Thai tea hit the spot. Very friendly staff & comfortable surroundings. Be prepared to wait as they do not accept reservations. The food was wonderful! I had a curry dish, very flavorful, not too spicy.

Enjoy relaxed ambiance, fine craft beer and the best burgers in northern Michigan in one of the state's oldest brewery buildings. The Old Brewery crafted its first beer in 1898 and Petoskey Brewing carries on its legacy today brewing with pure artesian spring water.
The food was just average, but the beer was outstanding! I had black and blue burger, which was just ok, and my better half had the reuben, which was sub-par. Our waitress was nice, but we felt rushed. Maybe we caught them on an off night, so we will give them another chance the next time we are in town.

Stopped in for breakfast Sunday morning with friends. This quaint coffee house has a fun vibe. They have a large selection of coffees and other beverages. The breakfast menu is small but there's plenty of options. The breakfast wraps, breakfast plates and French toast all very tasty. Breads were excellent. Order at the counter and pick up at the end when they call your name. Would go again.

City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven
Bar and restaurant, very historic. Previously named Park Garden. Good service and good food, however avoid Fish & Chips and the seafood linguine. Pasta was waaaay over cooked. Cook obviously NOT Italian. Fish and Chip was mostly breading. Whitefish and Steak, however, was very good. Would return.
