We have seen many shows at the Sellersville ST94 Theatre, and always with dinner at the Washington House Restaurant next door. It has a warm, nostalgic vibe, friendly service, and a moderately-priced menu. They feature some German-inspired specialties as well as some classic American fare. The bar is casual and the dining rooms are more dressy but not stuffy or formal. Try to make a night of it and see a show. Park once for free, and it's all there!

If you're hungry for a good time The Perk is probably your kind of place. We're the local eatery that feels like home. From the moment you step in the front door, you're part of the neighborhood. The photos on the wall? They may be your grandparents. Our customers? They're your friends, folks who stop by, often more than once each week, to rub elbows in our three dining rooms. Our employees? They have the same sense of community as you do and are committed to providing consistent, friendly service. Our food? Passion is a primary ingredient in every sandwich or entrée. From award-winning burgers to pasta, steak and seafood, there's something for everyone, and you won't go home hungry. Our portions are generous, giving our customers excellent value for their dollar. There's no pretense. Just good times, good people and great food in a cozy, friendly atmosphere. As the locals have told us, The Perk is "everyone's favorite place."
Found this "gem of a restaurant" within the year. Have been there several times, each time trying something new - have never been disappointed. Hostess is always pleasant and welcoming. Waiters, Waitresses, Bartenders and others are visably busy at all times taking care of a large number of diners - have never experienced bad service or anyone with a negative attitude. Meal portions are always very generous, often bringing home what we can't finish for lunch/dinner the next day. The entire restaurant is very clean, well lit, and has comfortable seating - is never so loud in the dining room(s) that you can't have a nice conversation with your fellow diner(s). I would highly recommend this eatery to anyone and everyone!!!

Jesse's Barbecue & Local Market is a family owned and operated business. We specialize in slow-smoked barbecue, which is cooked fresh everyday, year-round in our outdoor, wood-fired smokers. Our menu also offers a variety of delicious made-from-scratch sides, salads, sandwiches, & don't forget desserts! Come enjoy our indoor & outdoor seating areas; take-out is available as well.
This is by far the best BBQ to be found for miles. This place is always busy in early evening, for good reason. They have a number of customers who like the burnt ends dinner. I’ve heard the restaurant was visited by the Food Network but I did not confirm. Well worth the drive.

The Washington House has been in Fryburg since, practically, the dawn of man. George Washington actually slept here. Google and read the history. The food is always fantastic! I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and always stop in here for at least one meal when I'm back up to visit. Great service and prices. I highly recommend this place to everyone of all ages.

I was concerned/perplexed when I read some reviews where the diners were unable to finish their meal even on a second visit. Reservations are a must. This is a small BYOB restaurant of a chef that has been at some of my favorite restaurants. I...MoreHi! Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm sorry that you were somehow skipped over for cookies. We usually send them out to everyone regardless of whether you got dessert. Next time you can get your cake and your cookies too! Again I apologize!

The Ralphius flight was amazing. The 2016 and 2017 editions are excellent. The Mardi Gras food was delicious and we loved the chocolate samples, especially the one designed to match the Special Cookie beer. Great environment and friendly people. Lots of seating in several areas, including a birthday party in one section. What a great asset to the community!

This place has been family owned since 1953. The food is all homemade and delicious! The servers are great, most of them have been there 30 years. If you are in the area and are in the mood for some great food, stop in. You will not be disappointed.

Heading home from Lake Nockamixin and looking for a place to grab a quick dinner. We came upon the Country Place and the parking lot was packed! We figured that meant the food was good and it was. We were shocked the prices which even for average food seem to be an exceptional value.
We had a wait a few minutes for a table but not too long. The hostess, waitress and manager were all very friendly. Christine, our waitress, was pleasant, friendly and willing to offer suggestions on everything. We enjoyed the broiled seafood combination, crabcakes and prime rib. No one was disappointed in the food for the bill! We will definitely make a return trip!
NOTE: They only take cash - no credit cards so be prepared.

Great service and outstanding food sums it up. Stella's offers healthy home-cooked food in a quaint, coffee house friendly setting. The house salad is awesome! Daily specials also worth checking out; the house mac and cheese also terrific. Have not made it here yet for breakfast but it looks like it would be terrific. This is my favorite place for lunch in the area!

Two months ago we ate at Hawkeyes and our experience had been very good so we returned. In retrospect, we should have eaten somewhere else. Hawkeyes has a bar and a regular dining room. We asked their hostess to be seated in their dining room because it's normally quiet. But,for a Wednesday night, it was very loud. We probably should have left right after having been seated; but, we are from out of state, so, we stayed. It was a Big Mistake. We ordered the same meals that we had ordered previously: beer-battered fish and country meatloaf. My meal was served to me cold and my husband's sweet potato fries were also cold. I can understand fries being cold but I'm not sure how an entire meal can be served cold: really? Can't they nuke food before serving it to their customers? Don't they have a way to know when food is hot and when food is cold? Also, my country meatloaf tasted like a salt mine. One bite and I was done. I had to walk around looking for our server. Couldn't find him and finally found another server who agreed to find our server.
I then changed my order to beer battered fish and rice and vegetables. The rice and vegetables had also been selected for my first meal. Waited quite a while for my new order to be served and, I strongly suspected that they re-used the same mound of rice and veggies from my returned meal. I believe a worker microwaved the same portion of rice and veggies that I had already sampled with my fork. I recognized "the same" mound of rice with the same fork mark in it and the same degree of saltiness in my second meal. Now I'm not a health inspector but it seems like it should be a health code violation to reheat food in their microwave that a customer has already sampled with her fork. If so, which I believe was the case, it's totally unsanitary and unacceptable. When I finally received my second meal, the rice was flavorless and the veggies were in some type of congealed oil, the same oily glop from my first meal. It led us to suspect that their food is made well in advance. So, if you're lucky, your food will get microwaved. And, if you're unlucky, they will serve you cold food and make you wait awhile to microwave your food. As I waited for another meal and my husband waited for new sweet potato fries, I watched my husband eat his fish by itself. It was followed some time later by a plate of fries. By itself. So unacceptable. And while he was eating his meal, item by item, the noise level remained high.
Then, after we ate, we were never given the option to order dessert, just the option for a check. We were stunned but agreed to get the check to get out of there. Before entering the restaurant, we had planned on ordering ice cream. But after receiving their cold food, we could easily envision being served warm ice cream. At this point, we couldn't trust ordering their dessert.
Anyway, as we were leaving, we asked their hostess if we could speak with their owner/manager because we saw him there. She left to get the owner, but, the owner never came out to speak with us. And their hostess never returned, either even though we were sitting by the exit door right near where the hostess generally stands at their hostess' podium. After a 10 minute wait, we finally left the restaurant. Still annoyed, I tried contacting their owner/manager by email and no email response from him, either.
