Red Velvet wants to be upscale but is not. The food is good, but not the best, and the price is a little high if you ask me. The name says red velvet but they don't even have a red velvet cake on the menu and no one speaks english, not a single person.

I've been guided here from a local person, considering my first visit in Pavlodar.
The environment is nice, there isn't an English menu and also the personnel doesn't speak it, so you have to make your choice with the pictures of the dishes.
Of course the beer selection is good, apart the translation problem.
The service was a bit slow, despite the local wasn't full, but acceptable.
The quality of the food was good and more than enough.
Appetizer, main dish, side dish and,of course, beer, for less than 20 euro.
If you stay in the Ertysh hotel it is quite convenient to reach, just 10 min walking (if you are not worried about the low temperature outside in winter time).

At Krendel, we received warm welcome, coming from the cold snowy and windy streets. We were in both Krendels, and enjoyed them equally. There was also the warm hearts that welcomed us. Teas and coffees were diverse, and we had a great relaxed time here. Tasty cakes accompanied our hot drinks. And some of my friends had chicken wrapped in flat bread, sushis, and all sorts of other meals. We enjoyed Krendel. It looks like if you get to Pavlodar, you have to get to Krendel.
Meet you there!

Visited this place three times, with friends. All three times we drunk various beers. Unanimously, the black variety was the best.
Service wasn't the fastest, somewhat lacking fine touch. We asked neighbors about the food they had, the feedback was "french fries are good, pizza isn't".
Interior design is unique. The cafe is like TARDIS, small from outside, spacious inside. I can recommend it for a beer or two.

Located in the Hotel Dvin that we stayed at, the Restaurant Dvin was a great place for meals during our stay in Pavlodar. Excellent choices for lunch and dinner, we ate most of our meals here among the terrific service, the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. If you are in Pavlodar this is a great spot for meals, worth the drive if you aren’t staying at the adjoining hotel, you feel very welcome here.

Totally unexpected Austrian style ski resort restaurant and bar. Superbly priced and high quality meals. Some English speakers on site are useful for foreigners and and the young staff displayed an excellent service approach to all. Wonderful atmosphere for families and especially the White Christmas we were able to have here was a special treat. They will try to help with vegetarians if you specify what you need as many of the dishes are meat based so just ask for assistance for specific needs. You can use all cards onsite and prices are suitable even for locals so not surprisingly very popular which means you may have to book to hold a table for you before going but it is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!
