Stopped here a few times with family after baseball games. This is located close to fields. Ice cream treats well prepared. Can't go wrong with Dairy Queen. Counter service is a bit slow.

On our way to visit the John Brown museum in Osawatomie and we chanced across this Mexican restaurant in Paola, just before our destination. Food was well prepared, good variety and good prices. $2.50 margarita specials, which pleased my wife. Service was excellent. Our waiter was cordial and appropriately attentive, which I value. Comfortable restaurant that seemed popular with locals. It was exactly the kind of place we hoped to find.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly employees. The drip coffee was good quality. My friends got various flavored lattes and they were all happy with them. Service was good as far as having our order taken; but was a bit slow in getting the order filled. They have a good selection of coffee and tea. Their limited breakfast menu is reasonably priced. Biscuits made from scratch. Over all a very pleasant experience.

Went here with a group of 9 from church. We didn't realize they closed at 1pm on Sunday and only serve breakfast on Sunday's. Got there around noon. They were out of waffles, sausage, biscuits and a few other items and then came back to our table after we all ordered to say they had now run out of hashbrowns. They did substitute other items for our hashbrowns. I got a bacon, pepper and cheese omelet. The bacon was not cooked so I had to pick it all out of the omelet. The food was just ok. Wait staff didn't look happy or smile, didn't make us feel welcomed. We won't go back.

We are a mother-daughter owned and operated restaurant specializing in home cooked authentic German & Italian dishes. Hand made fresh pasta dishes including Ravioli and Lasagna. Hand breaded Schnitzel's, authentic sausages and fresh local products/produce are served. Fresh home made rolls and desserts are made daily. Open - Thursday through Sunday
Brother in law took me here for lunch. Started with a sausage platter appetizer. Four different sausages with some homemade sauerkraut and mustard that were unbelievably good. Moved onto a jaeger schnitzel platter (thnk German country fried steak with a nice mushroom, cream sauce with again the sauerkraut and hot german potato salad, along with a huge homemade dinner roll. This stuff is really really tasty. Wanted so much to sample a dessert, they looked equally as good, but couldn't eat another bite. Also, the sausage platter was only 13.00 and the jaeger schnitzel only 18.00. Will be back with friends soon.

The BBQ SHACK sits approximately 60 ppl at tables and we can squeeze in about 10 more at the bar. After ordering up an Old Man Kelsey's BBQ sandwich or a Leon's Combo, along with some Ernest Tea, feel free to roam around the restaurant to check out various memorabilia from The Andy Griffith Show. What, do you ask, does the Andy Griffith Show have to do with BBQ? ABSOLUTELY NOTHIN! But just like our award winning BBQ, you won't find this memorabilia anywhere else but here!
I recently stopped at the BBQ Shack for quick carry-out on a drive through Paola related to business. I tried a simple Mayberry Style Pulled Pork Sandwich, which is pulled pork & Carolina style slaw on a bun........vinegar-based slaw, instead of creamy style. I got...MoreThank you, sir. We are glad to hear you enjoyed it! Thank you for stopping by! We appreciate your business.

This is the home of the giant pork tenderloin! My husband and brother ate a cheeseburger with bacon and a fried egg on toasted rye bread! They loved it! We also had mountain oysters, homemade chips, French Fries, and mushrooms! Friendly help! Speedy service!

Ate here one evening with a friend. I think with a name like Spudley’s I expected superior potato dishes. These were mostly mediocre. But the wait staff was super friendly and outgoing. And overall it was a decent enough meal. Nothing particularly outstanding…nothing particularly wrong as well.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Paola. This visit their little girl was riding her bike, inside. Around and around the buffet table. I have no problem interacting with the owners children but sometimes it is just too much. Plus, the quality of the food seems to have gone downhill. I also hate when the waitress gathers up all the glasses at my table and other tables to go refill at once. Doesn't seem sanitary.

This is a place the locals seem to go for breakfast. Typically you see folks say hi to each other by name walking through. Simple in atmosphere and the food is okay.
