I had a "great comida" in there! The truth about this restaurant is that they offer you real spanish specialties with a taste of art! I started with a little "drink&tapas" and then in a wonderful atmosphere I get the chance to try the "menu estivo"! Me and my friends we took 3 different plates of everything in the menu and we shared. It was a real good one! Once back in Palencia I will come back for sure...the Chef owe me a glass of wine 'cause I was able to repeat some "hard-for-italian spanish words" like gazpacho and fascinante :)
Until next time!

This is the king of the "Bravas"and you cannot miss the "mejillones escocesa". I dont think you can find any "palentino"(local) that doesn't know about this place. But don't expect a fine restaurant, be ready to eat while you stand up, because this is just a quick stop bar, just a drink and something to eat, what most people call "caña y tapa". SOme years ago used to be very cheap, really really cheap, but now, it became so popular that the prices in my opinion are "fat", if I am not mistaken a plate of bravas was 3 or 3.5 euros!! Also it is true that I remember the price in pts, when for 200pts (now it would be 1.2 euros) you could get the same bravas' plate. But, this doesn't keep me away from stopping by everytime i come back to my hometown. yummy yummy.

Also known as "the Marranillo", this is a really good known place to visit for the poor folks in Palencia. For as low as 50 Euro you and your family can eat a really great number of big snacks and typical dishes - but nothing healthy food, I promise you - of Palencia's meat.
If you want to know Palencia in its deepest way, you should visit "the Marranillo", with no debt. But you should take care with the folks you can find around the Trompicon. Bad guys, poor people, workers and really geekfest people can be found them visiting the Trompicon each day.
And it is even worst during the night!.
But this is the genuine deep pallentine's mistery experience.
Good Luck!.

Correcto

In this small, it is intended that all its pizzas and other products transmit all the enthusiasm and authenticity of the human group that works with utmost devotion and dedication to our customers taste the real Sicily, because everything we offer is made by hand and with natural ingredients and lots of love ...
Can't say how excited we are to have found Kuro. We live in a village outside Palencia, and had resigned ourselves to Castilian Castilian and more Castilian when we eat out... people around here are NOT adventurous diners.
I found Kuro here on TripAdvisor, and we went straightaway the next time we went to town. WOW! Real Sicilian, just like I grew up with back in Pittsburgh... calzones! Scamorza cheese! Ventricina salami! Our one-person pizzas were perfectly sized and beautifully baked in a wood-fired oven; the wine list is small but very reasonable, service was friendly and attentive, and the facility itself was very very clean.
Five stars!

Three of us tried the delights of this great restaurant, the portions are big , we had Crevittes that were the size of langoustines (They filled the plate about a dozen or so), potatoe and ham croquettes that were delicious and loads of them.
There is a large selection of steaks available here and any size you want , (You can pay by the KG). The only warning is that the medium steaks come out Med rare , and if you ask for medium rare , well, a good vet could have brought it round.
Saying this , the food was excelllent the service spot on , and nice local white wine available also. We would go back again.

Restaurant serving homemade food and seasonal, skilled professionals, and personalized attention, dining room for 60 people, serving professionals for over 20 years. Extensive menu with scrambled salads, hot and cold rations, meat and fish, hash tables and fish, pates and cheeses, menus for groups, meetings, dinners, communions, Christmas parties ... Daily menu for lunch and dinner, and a menu of weekend we are in the center of Palencia, we are open every day of the week, open all day, easy access to the dining room for people with disabilities, pushchairs, wheelchairs ... No stairs.
