If you are familiar with Martabak Mesir which consist of egg, minced beef, mince spring onion, onion and kind of curry spice with very light sweet soy sauce + pickle.....this martabak just consist of eeg came with mince/ mash potato in curry sauce. You can add mince chilli in salt soy sauce.
Unfortunately i think the taste of potato curry sauce was not as delicious as i ever taste a couple years ago, I don't know whether caused by less spices concentrate or what.

Pagi Sore used to be my favourite. When I went to my internship, i ate this padang food almost everyday and never get bored. But on my last visit during the CNY, I was so disappointed. I don't know what happened. Is it because now I stay in Jakarta and had tried Garuda or they didn't cook the same way as they used to. I loved almost all of their menu. But on my last visit, the inner part of the chicken---> tasteless. I tried the ayam goreng n ayam opor, the outer part were ok. Ayam goreng, crunchy n a bit salty outside, tasteless inside. Opor, covered with the curry outside very yummy, but tasteless inside. Tried to confirm with hubby and hubby said the same thing as I thought. The long beans was another disappointment. We thought to have a packet of chickens but after dinner we cancelled to do so. The good news is the size of the chickens getting bigger!

The restaurant location is near Governor's resident. With a great air because have a lots of trees and fish pond. You can choose the regular table dining or "lesehan" (sit on the floor by pillow).
The menu are various. Most of the menu are South Sumatera Menu.
Such as Pindang Ikan, Sambal Tempoyak, or vegetable stir fry. And delicious.
The price is a little pricey. Maybe because the service and the place that expensive.

It's easy to find pempek beringin in Palembang, because they have a lot of branch. This is on of the best pempek in Palembang. Most of people bring this pempek for souvenir.
If you miss this pempek when you're at home, you can ask them to sent pempek to your home. They already pack with a vacum pack with the sauce inside.
Thier pempek is with no preservatives. And the taste is delicious.. The fishy taste is very pronounced. But be careful with the sauce because it's a little bit spicy but very fresh.. Make you keep open your eyes..
They also have other Palembang menu.. I really like rujak mie..
They also sell kerupuk (fish crackers).. You must try.. They have a lot of variation of fish crackers.. With different taste..

If you're a noodle lover, you have to try this kind of local noodle. The noodle consist of noodle (of course ), been sprout coconut milk, shrimp broth and shrimp minced, parseley and egg slices as its condiments. You can find chili sauce and sweet soy sauce serve on every table. I choose orange juice to fulfill my thirstyness on that sunny morning.
The resto with no air conditioning but comfortable enough
