Staying locally overnight on business the initial search for food looked bleak, peoples ideas of good dont match mine. I decided to look online for an Italian restaurant instead, a good Italian meal is one of lifes great pleasures after all.
Cardosis popped up as a possible option. I read the online menu, looked at a few reviews and phoned to book a table. It was a very rainy Tuesday night so when I walked in I was expecting an empty restaurant. It was pretty busy with groups and couples dotted around the place. I had a small booth to myself and scanned the menu for a while to narrow down the choices.
I finally decided on the Pork Belly to start and Veal Pamigiana for the main course, I can honestly say every mouthful was a pleasure.
The service was excellent which just adds to the dining experience.
Thank you, I will be back one day.

Excellent food, staff and service. Regular at this restaurant but a last minute booking with friends was great value for money. Staff especially Jim, Lynne and Ashleigh always greet you with a smile and cant do enough for you. Fantastic service, food was amazing (the bread is unbelievable).

Don't normally choose Italian restaurants, however wasn't disappointed. Lunchtime business meal was delicious and staff were attentive and professionals. My colleague even mentioned he'd travel from Motherwell for a more formal experience....well done and thanks

High praise to the staff who are very polite and assisted during a dinner with work colleagues. Table overlooked the indoor training arena, with horse training and riding during the evening, and certainly different to watch.
We had nachos for starter, burgers and desserts. All food was deleivered hot with fairly large portions, and all very nice. Dessert of Eton mess was an overindulgence, though a great finish for the meal.
Wide selection on the menu with good solid food throughout, and all other diners had lovely looking food that perhaps will try on future visits.

Here are at la rambla, we serve tapas style food, which is basically small portions of food, which enables customer to try different meals at one time instead of just one big meal. Tapas are ideal for sharing among friends and family, it is basically a small buffet on your table. La rambla does tapas from different cuisines like spanish, italian, mexican and indian as well. We believe to give a bit of variety to our customers.
Probably the worst Spanish Tapas I’ve ever had considering the best thing I had at this restaurant was Pakora. Most of the food seems like it comes from a packet with the sauces being served in the plastic pots they come in with the lid ripped off. The staff are slow and the manager just seemed to glare at everyone. Decor is horrendous and there’s no music in the dining area. Certainly won’t be back.

Can never fault this place, great food and really friendly staff, it does get very busy sometimes and there can be a bit of a wait but its worth it, I'll be back very soon!

With eight televisions and two Sky boxes, The Craig Dhu allows sports fans to keep up to date with all the big fixtures. It's big on football, but also shows Formula One, rugby and other high-profile events. Additionally, there are televisions in the booths down one side of the bar, which means the children can watch their favourite programmes while the grown-ups enjoy a leisurely meal (kids welcome until 8pm). On Tuesday, there's a quiz with a rollover prize. Thursday is an important night for poker players: The Craig Dhu is the busiest for the game in Paisley. If you're planning a retirement, engagement or christening party, you should speak to the staff about reserving one corner of the pub and booking a buffet.
We have had many previous enjoyable visits here. We had Xmas dinner here this past Xmas and the service was horribly slow. We even had to ask for cranberry sauce cause they didn't have it on the tables. At Xmas! We gave them the benefit of the doubt however as of course Xmas Day was very busy. After the ridiculously bad service today on a normal Sunday afternoon I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt. One person manning the entire pub, bar and food service. You show sports and people will also want food and drink. You're not going to be quiet when there's a game on. Why would you not staff accordingly for this. That one woman that was on also kept disappearing and leaving the bar unattended. Totally ridiculous. The food came out quick to be fair and was lovely as always. We finished and by now a guy had came on shift and the woman vanished. On her break maybe. Fair enough. This guy cleared half our plates and left the rest sitting. I understand he was the only one behind the bar but even when he wasn't serving, he ignored the rest of our dishes in favour of texting on his phone. My mum had to put them on the bar herself cause she'd had enough of the smell. We'd been planning on having dessert and more drinks but this guy behind the bar made it clear this wasn't happening. At this point I didn't want to give them a penny more of our money. My husband went to the bar to pay and even that took an age. Seriously what is wrong with you people?! Staff accordingly or stop doing food/table service if you can't handle it. Also my father-in-laws steak pie was vile. £9.50 and full of gristle with rock hard veg. Total con. I'm so done with this place. Sad because I really liked it.

This is the best chip shop in Paisley. A proper traditional chippy with Amazing staff & owners but most importantly the food is brilliant & always very tasty. They also do gluten free food, they use a separate fryer for battered food & the chips are always fried separate so you can enjoy a lovely meal if you are coeliac too, you have to visit here!!

I had often passed this restaurant, but had never visited.
Then by chance, I noticed a Groupon voucher for two courses for 2 people.
I booked a table for 5pm, for my friend and I, before I was to drive him to the Airport.
We got there about 10 minutes early, and were shown to our table by the lovely Sally.
The voucher gave you the option of starter and main, or main and dessert.
Sally presented us with the Special Menu, which had only starters and mains, but she told us that if we wanted desserts, then she would show us the dessert menu after we had eaten our mains.
I selected the Texas Rancher Chicken Burger, whilst my friend Paul, opted for the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli.
When the mains arrived, we were both stunned by the amount of food on our plates!!
My burger had a chicken fillet, with bacon and cheese, amazing fries and a nice side salad.
Paul had a massive bowl of pipping hot Ravioli.
Paul usually leaves a lot of food, but to my sheer amazement, he polished off the whole bowl! I think that if he had been in my flat, he probably would have licked the bowl clean!!
My burger was fantastic, and my fries were probably the best that I had ever tasted!
For desserts, Paul chose the Apple Pie and ice-cream, whilst I opted for the Waffle and ice-cream.
It was so typical, that I had left my phone in my car, otherwise I would have photographed all the food.
Fantastic food, well done Chef.
Amazing staff, well done Management.
The only thing that was wrong, was on asking Sally when the restaurant opened (2015), that I was kicking myself for not having visited sooner.
As a side note, Sally your choice of music was outstanding, I think that I will be buying a Belle and Sebastian CD in the near future.
