We arrived without booking a table for lunch, and were met with grace and professionalism. Outstanding service here. A lovely ambience, soft music, nice decor, food really good ( we had an excellent steak and a pork knuckle, good vegetable plate, wine, coffee, pre meal drink ), helpful advice from wait staff. Less than 50 euro pp. Recommend for a special meal.

This place is simply authentic and not just the food, which left us amazed but the service which was top class especially the fact that the waiter suggested the best items on the menu, including the wine and desert. Service the way it should be. The atmosphere is very done up to make you feel the authenticity of the surroundings which we simply loved.
I recommend it to anyone in the area however make sure you are seated before 13:00 pm as the kitchen closes at 14:45 pm. We had to eat in hurry since we sat at 14:00 pm.
The place is slightly more expensive than the usual however for anyone after a fine dinning service it is totally value for money.

The best in wining and dining and the Gardena Valley's most cordial hospitality. Steeped in tradition, our restaurant is situated in the centre of Ortisei where it has been managed by the same family for more than 30 years - a very well-known location to connoisseurs and gourmets alike. At the Concordia you will savour exquisite dishes in the cordial and cosy atmosphere of our Stuben, where our motto is: outstanding cuisine and excellent service - for those moments of genuine well-being. We are looking forward to welcoming you in our Restaurant! Rudi and Maria Pescosta

This was our third visit to Ortisei and, of course, we had to re-visit our favourite restaurant. Still just the best! Beautiful surroundings, good service and delicious food - and servings are most generous. I particularly recommend the beef carpaccio (I always order it here) and Picky Partner again raved about the risotto. Absolutely no negatives at this restaurant. Very happy customers here!

The elegant service you would expect in a casual chalet style surrounding. From the amuse bouche through the chocolate degustation, everything was constructed with incredible craftmanship. You have 3 degustation menus to choose from but ultimately you can mix and match and order fewer dishes. While some plates were maybe a tad below (my very high) expectations (meat dishes in general), the overall experience was wonderful and the price value exceptional.

We had expected to experience a good kitchen, based on the high score in Tripadvisor. But the food was below average. Moreover what was annoying was the speed: after 5 min after ordering the first course arrived for one of us. Than 2 minutes later the main courses, but still two of us had not had their first course yet! We told the waiter but he glazed at us. We send the main course away. Than 3 minutes later the first course arrived, but immediatly the exaxt same main courses arrived... pfff. And a bit colder now. The staff was not personal at all, and interested. They only wanted to speed up everything.
With italian unworthy food, a terrible acoustic, and this Speedy gonzalez service, the maurice keller should be somewhere deep down at the Tripadvisor list.

We were lucky and got a table at Stua Catores for New Year Eve Dinner. The atmosphere was very good. The interior is atmospheric "wooden style" and the waitress was just fantastic. She remembered us from our visit last year and we felt very welcome. The food was good as well and we got a very nice "final" of 2014.

Even if you are watching your weight, you need to pop in to Cafe Corso at least once during a stay in Ortisei, Val Gardena. It's a beautiful spot in the centre of the town serving delicious cakes and pastries, speciality teas and coffees, and a wide range of alcoholic drinks. The strudel is amazing. Highly recommended.

I've been there a couple of times and I can assure that the place offers a wide choice of wines and exquisite tasting of local food like cheese and salami. It is possible to buy their home-made blueberry and horseradish sauce to taste it with cheese.
