We went with a group of 20 people for a birthday party. It's about a one hour drive from Condado, and a charming drive through the interior of the island - and totally worth it! Eat outside and upstairs in their patio, the view across a river plain to the ocean is spectacular. The german food is authentic and fantastic. But they also have some PR/German fusion dishes that are really great. Of course, there are several german beers on tap. I've done dozens of day trips in PR having lived there for 3 years, and this is one of the most memorable.

Old family recipe for their sausage. Great family atmosphere. DELICIOUS! and this says a lot coming from Italian decent. Served family style. This place is really worth the effort finding.

We have been coming to Asao Smokehouse on various occasions, with family, friends, neighbors... While the food is amazing, the wait is loooong. Servers don't come around often enough to take drink orders and food rarely arrives at the same time so that some people have already finished eating before others receive their plates. While service is generally lacking, the grilled meats and risottos are very delicious which is why I'm giving Asao 5 stars. Just make sure to not get there hungry. If you are able to be patient, you will be served some excellent food.

The place is up in Ciales, PR, small restaurant and really cold because of the a/c <<so bring a jacket>>
The food is DELICIOUS, my favorite plate is the stuffed chicken with sweet plantains covered with bacon, and smashed plantains <<they are fresh>>
The "sangria" is really good, and the attention of the servers is awesome.
This is a good place for family, friends or a romantic dinner

I visited El Navideño with my family on January 1st, 2017 to welcome the New Year and I must say, they never fail to deliver. This is our fourth time visiting the restaurant and their service has been outstanding every single time. The food was amazing and the prices are very reasonable. You may be able to find cheaper places around the area, as other reviewers have pointed out, but none have the facilities, ambiance and quality ingredients that El Navideño offers. Comfortable temperature with great air conditioning and extra clean bathrooms (which are extremely important to my standards), delightful Christmas music, beautiful decorations, magnificent service and exquisite food and drinks. Staff has always been attentive and you can also always see the owners over viewing that everything is being carried out to perfection, as this is a family-owned business. I guess that you get what you're willing to pay for. We're looking forward to visit them again in March, as we are smitten with this place and they have Christmas all year round.

A beautiful rustic restaurant with surroundings of nature and the best view of Lake Guayabal. We take pride in our homemade soups, sauces and desserts and all orders which are prepared in a matter of "Slow Cooking" in which you can't rush great food. Feel free to reserve your table since we do book up quickly.
Without a doubt one of the best culinary experiences in the south of Puerto Rico. The service is amazing, the staff is really friendly and the food is heavenly good. If you are looking for good Italian food and nice place to spend a great...MoreWe're greatful for being part of your Italian culinary experience, thanks!

If you are passing by Aibonito. Beautiful town BTW; El cantinflas is a great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mexican inspired food with puertorrican touch.
The place has an extensive menu with reasonable prices and good service. Highly recommended to families , tourists abd locals alike.

This is a very rustic restaurant, with some antique radios and stuff as decoration. Some of the tables have antique sewing machines as their base. They prepare exotic foods such as "arroz con buruquena" and "guavaras". These are river shrimp and crabs, different from the ones from the sea. Their signature dish, the "arroz con buruquena" is delicious, as are the "guavara" tacos. The other food is good, but not as spectacular. Service is adequate, they use family members as wait staff. The rest is right at the road side, just inside a tight curve, so you can see cars going from two sides of the restaurant. The ambiance is very rustic, very country, and the weather when we went was cool and nice. Just don't expect high cuisine and you will be charmed.
