This is an excellent restaurant with really good food, and what makes it especially good, is that you enjoy this food with a fantastic view. You have the best of both worlds.
This is a must see stop on your travels.
AND don't forget, to make a donation to the lovely lady outside the restaurant, who will give you a rum tasting with all those lovely flavors infused into the rum.
Your donation will help all of those cats and dogs that she looks after, with no thought for herself.
Just remember, "What goes around, Comes around"
Happy traveling, and enjoy this restaurant and its spectacular view.

Everything was great. The painkiller drink---worked! They make their onions rings fresh with light batter and onions cooked just right. The ribs off the grill were so tender they fell off the bone in one bite. We were warned about the spicy jerk sauce, but just right for us. My wife had the grilled red snapper fillet plate. Wonderful fish! Friendly service, but for now they only take cash. We will go back.

So happy that Bistrot Caraibes reopened after Hurricane Irma. This place never disappoints. My husband always has the lobster thermidor. He is always happy with it. I've never been disappointed with any dish. The escargot are awesome, and the house cured salmon is great. The service is super friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to return.

From the warm greeting at the door through the after dinner drinks - La Villa provided an excellent experience!
The board menu offered a delightful selection, with each being delicious. The cold pumpkin soup, duck and cod were outstanding. An endive salad with figs and prosciutto was alone a great treat. One member of our party stated the lamb shank with foie gras was the best he ever tasted. Save room for dessert as they are home made and worth every bite!
But the biggest delight was the service. Lots of great suggestions and just the right attentiveness made this restaurant 'excellent'. Treat yourselves!

Stopped by all along Orient Beach for lunch and found that Kontiki offered a great lunch at a reasonable price. A great experience with a good breeze and view of the Bay. Food quality was outstanding on their daily special and the Peach French pastry was just topping on a great meal.

My husband and I traveled to Orient Bay on St. Martin a few weeks ago. The day we arrived, we went to a local shop to stock up on a few things we would need over the course of our vacation. Luckily, I asked the shop owner to recommend one of the many restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. Without hesitation, she said her favorite was Le Piment. We've learned over the years that the locals are usually a good judge of these things so we decided to give it a try on our first evening there. I'm so glad we did! I'm not sure when we've had such a great find. In fact, we loved it so much that we went back numerous times while we were there and each time was just as good as the time before.
I'm going to apologize now for any misspellings of names, but I think it's important to recognize the owner, Crystal. She is absolutely fantastic. She greeted us each time with a big smile, a double kiss kiss, and made us feel so welcome. Her servers Elvin, Sarah, and Elyse are also amazing. After the first evening, they remembered how we liked our martinis and were friendly, professional, warm, and inviting. They are incredibly efficient without being intrusive and have a great sense of pacing.
As far as the food, I really don't know where to begin. Everything is absolutely wonderful. We had the escargot just about every time we went. We just could not get enough. Over the course of our stay, we had dishes from various parts of the menu - appetizers, pizza, pasta, lamb, pork, beef - all of which were just unbelievably great. Crystal adds a nice touch to her normal menu with daily specials which are written on a chalk board that is brought to your table and if you are lucky, Crysal will describe each with mouth watering detail. I think she could make sand sound delicious! Most evenings we were too full for desert, but we were encouraged to try the tiramisu and I'm glad we saved room - fantastic!
The restaurant is open air as are most in Orient Bay. We loved sitting out and enjoying our dinner with the stars above. It's really quite charming. I'm not sure when we'll get back to St. Martin and Orient Bay, but you can bet that the first stop (and probably many more) will be to visit Le Piment. You really should give this a try if you are looking for a great restaurant with great food, service, and atmosphere. They have it all!

The menu and food quality at Kakao are great, and the location in the middle of Orient Beach can't be beat. Seating at individual tables with protection from sun and rain was comfortable, romantic and fun. Prices are a little on the high side, but food quality was excellent and service good. Salade Niçoise with tuna sashimi and anchovies was excellent, and the Neapolitan style Pizza Spéciale was tasty. Dollars are NOT taken at par, so expect a 20% - 25% increase in your bill if you're paying that way.

Based on a recommendation from our condo owner, we went to this restaurant as our first nice dinner out. It was absolutely amazing! Everything from the service to atmosphere to the incredible food was above expectations. If you like lamb, the lamb shoulder that was on the special menu was the best I've ever had and will be a meal I'll dream about! Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience!
