Bigelow's has been here forever, and is virtually unchanged !
The fried soft-bellied clams are KILLER, the best anywhere. The onion rings and fries are freshly made and perfect. Chowder is wonderful. Service is fast and super attentive with servers asking often if everything is to customer liking.
Not super cheap, but great seafood isn't. Good value can be had by ordering half portions or appetizers which are HUGE.
Ambience is lunch counter, but the seafood is Haut Cuisine.

We always bring cakes and pastries from Whistle Stop to every party we are invited to. It's the only gourmet bake shop I would consider patronizing in Nassau County. Their prices are always good, the service is always fantastic and their food is the best.

We stumbled upon this place visiting friends and were blow away by how quaint the atmosphere was and how incredibly accommodating the owner and his staff were. Our child has food allergies and they stopped to give us their undivided attention to make sure she could order the flavor she wanted. The owner came out to get us untouched containers from the back. He went above and beyond and gained very loyal customers. Plus the ice cream was amazing and the place is adorable.

Rockville Centre has become a mecca for all sorts of good eats from the casual to some fancy smancy restaurants. Always a challenge to look for parking but the town loves for you to pay them meters/pay machines with your coordinated #. This great tasting bakery is the perfect place to pick up some sweets for your sweetie or yourself of course. Don't forget to get some of their freshly made java. You'll be so loved.

We hadn't been here in years; forgot how wonderful the food is here!
The best baked clams anywhere! We really loved them. Their hot salad is the best!
We had a special order of pasta made- stuffed rigatoni with vodka sauce... truly out of this world!
Family style servings guarantee leftovers for lunch the next day!

My husband and I went t the Lido Deli for lunch. They have a large take-out counter and a separate seating area for dining. The portions are huge. The waiter brought us a large bowl of coleslaw and another of pickles. Food was good service not so much..

River Mill Tavern & Tables is a perfect place to get some great tasting food whether you come for lunch, dinner or brunch. The menu is exciting with foods you can easily recognize and understand. The chef here takes favorite comfort food and ofen recreates it with a refreshing update. Plenty of yummy appetizers to help ease down the cocktails and their popular beers on tap. I like their huge pretzels with the dip. Chicken wings can be ordered with your choice sauce other than just the traditional. Try their Bitburger beer on tap, quite refreshingly good. Another popular option is to try the local beers on tap.
A real treat is to come to their weekend brunch. Now here's the treat. Their cornbread is given to you gratis. But it's so so good, you'll even order another one for just $3. It's that yummy. Try to resist that urge but trust me, you can't. Heck, order it to go so you don't look like a child gouching down a yummy donut. No one will see how you eat it at home, haha! Highlights Brick Chicken & Waffles and their Egg in the Bowl! Their Chorizo Scramble or their Steak & Eggs are also popular choices. For $10 as you dine, unlimited mimosas, screwdrivers, bellini, bloody mary's, etc. Not a bad deal considering the qualitt of food being served their. Only one pet peeve of mine is that why is there only one egg served with the Egg in the bowl and as well with the Chicken waffle dish? For $16, please add an extra egg alright? Just a suggestion. I'll order the Steak & Eggs and get my extra egg for $22. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the table from time to time and maybe I'll get an extra egg next time!

This diner was recommended by friends, as we wished o find a half way point to meet up with friends. We were pleasantly surprised to find an attractive layout, nice sized booths, and great service. There were also some different options on their very extensive menu.

EAT Gastropub's goal is to bring fresh, "good" (mostly organic and non-GMO) food to the way people EAT. At EGP, we elevate traditional pub cuisine using organic grass-fed beef, fresh produce from our greenhouse, and other homemade or locally sourced food and condiments. In the EGB pastry kitchen, we create our own desserts using the best chocolate and fruits. We believe in bringing health and a higher quality to America's greatest food. Customers love our philly cheesesteak eggroll, pretzel, BBQ and buffalo wings, burgers, and chicken pot pie. If you are going to EAT well, we want you to drink well too. We offer 24 craft beers on tap (and change them up weekly) as well as original artisanal cocktails created by world renowned mixologist, Willy Shine. Sticking with the EGP concept, he has created cocktails that incorporate freshly squeezed juice, homemade flavored syrups, and even a selection of ice that is most appropriate to your drink. EAT well, EAT safe, EAT gastropub.
After seeing the positive reviews for this restaurant I expected a better experience. The inside seating was so over air conditioned that we chose to eat outside in the covered patio. The street noise was overwhelming. We had a fabulous appetizer, the "philly cheesesteak" egg rolls but our main courses were mediocre at best. The "50/50" burger was awful! Not likely that I will go there again.
