Mark your calendars, travelers, for Saturday 1-6-2018. Oakmont Bakery will, once again, start making their exceptional PACZKI. (Pronounced poonch-key or paunch-key) This delicious pastry is a Polish donut made of fried dough with a fruit or cream (Pittsburgh Cream) filling. They will be available thru Easter and perhaps shortly after. These sugar or glazed coated donuts are to die for. Oakmont Bakery is one of best bakeries we’ve found anywhere. The have a huge assortment of pastries such as: cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, donuts, breads, cakes and items you can’t even imagine until you see their show cases. On any given day (they’re open 7 days a week) arrive early. Review the pastry selections, make a mental note, then grab a ticket from the dispenser and wait for your number to be called. The lines move fast as they have a wonderful staff to serve you. Tip: If you can’t wait to eat one of you’re pastry choices, there is a small sitting area where you can enjoy a coffee and devour your PACZKI.

This is really a cute place. It is welcoming inside-a little cramped with just a few too many tables-but still nice. The menu has many different selections to choose from. Something for everyone, even picky eaters will find something they like on the menu. The servers are fast, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. The cooks know what they are doing as well. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. I've never had a bad experience here.

Italian Dinning and Family Style Takeout
Seven of us visited this restaurant on a very busy Saturday night. We had reservations and were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly. She did not even blink when we asked for separate checks (three couples and a single). The food is excellent service was prompt without being rushed. Our appetizers of stuffed hot peppers and fried zucchini were obviously homemade. They are also very generous. The house Chianti was actually two glasses for the price of one. Then came the entrees. My chicken parmigiana was perfectly cooked and was huge. I am a big guy and I still took half of it home. My wife got the marsala medley which consisted of veal and shrimp. Excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a holiday party here and the atmosphere is very quaint and Victorian themed. The venue was decorated festively for the holiday and cozy with the fireplace. The service was very good and the sandwiches and treats were very tasty.

We had seen this place several times when we were riding by but it was always closed when we were there so we were going to a concert across the street and were thrilled to be able to have dinner here first. The only bad part was because we were going to the concert we couldnt take our leftovers because it would be five hours before we'd be home. And there was plenty to take as leftovers. The servings are absolutely huge! I had the pasta parmigiana which was the best pasta I've ever had, EVER! BF had the pasta carbonara and it was amazing also. The waitress was adorable friendly and had a terrific laugh. We were there as soon as it opened at 4 so there was no waiting and service was fast. Definitely plan to go there again but at a time when I can take my leftovers home. LOL

Had driven by many times since this place opened. The bar end is called the End Zone with servers wearing NFL stye referee shirts. There is another bar(not with stools) in the restaurant. There was music videos on the tv type screen while the other side or the End Zone showed sports related highlights. Service was quick. We elected to sit in an area where we could view the kids playing arcade games and people bowling. Nikki, our server was very sweet and knowledgeable. Spouse and I had veggie wraps. He had a salad with balsamic dressing while I chose wedding soup. Wedding soup had big chunks of chicken as well as meatballs. Food good, service fast! Outdoor seating for warm weather.

Arrived without reservations and was quickly seated in a booth at the bar( recommend reservations).
The Seafood Festival entre was accompanied with fresh ciabatta bread, multi grain bread and a delicious sun dried tomato and pistachio dipping oil, and soup or salad.
The Pasta fagiole soup was tasty and hot. The entre consisted of calamari, clams, crab meat and shrimp over linguine with a light cream sauce. I was skeptical since I just had a similar dish elsewhere and the calamari was inedible.....not here! The seafood was well prepared (read not gummy) and had a pleasant taste. Though not a cream sauce fan, it was enjoyable. Overall pleased and will return. (Menu is a bit pricey)

This ice cream shop reminds me of the old-fashioned Dairy Queens... when you went up to an outside window and ordered, then sat outside and enjoyed the deliciousness! I ordered a small cup of chocolate chip cookie dough. It was excellent with bug chunks of chocolate and perfect cookie dough. My 2 year old grandson loved his kiddie cup of chocolate ice cream. You know it's good when a 2 year old, holds the cup up to his mouth, tips it and tries to get every last drop out! Oh, and when he has a chocolate moustache and also chocolate spilled down the front of his shirt! I plan on making this our special place every time I visit my family in Oakmont. What a cute little shop and town!

While driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike stopped at Oakmont Travel Plaza. Ordered an iced coffee at the Starbucks. The two women working the stand were friendly, helpful and fast. No problems here.

Went to a show at the Oaks and the performer said the after party was at The Pub at 333, which we had never tried before. So glad we did. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was the best Cuban sandwich I've had at a non-Latin restaurant. My husband had the grilled cheese and bacon and was impressed with the quality of the bacon and the amount of cheese. One of our friends had the Italian meatballs that looked amazing and she said was delicious. Reasonable prices for the great food you get. Service was good considering how busy it got.
