In the heart of Providencia in 2010, Bistromania was born: a simple idea in a welcoming environment mixing old-time gastronomy with the great French classics. By bringing a slice of France to Chile, our goal was to conquer Chilean tastebuds and to take travelling French palates back home with our gourmet dishes in the bistrot style.Gaetan Eonet and his team invite you to their world, a simple space that reminds you of home, to discover or return to those traditional flavors...Welcome and... bon appetit !
An European travelling to Chile will agree that it is hard to find a good restaurant in Santiago, but he definitely will agree that it is extremely hard to find a restaurant with good waiter service. Where big efforts are done on culinary academies, Chile completely forgot about training the waiting staff. Well, Le Bistro is one of the exceptions. You can see the waiting staff enjoys their work and that they receive continuous training. The food is excellent, typical french (moules frites...), very welcome if one is fed up with eating carne a la pobre, locos, chupes etc (don't get me wrong, very good for once in a while).

THE best food we have had yet in SA, including Bs As. Everything is so fresh. Real, strong coffee (an actual carmel latte!!!), fresh raspberry juice, homemade yogurt with fresh berries, and an amazing bakery attached. the decor is fantastic, cozy and warm. The service was outstanding, our waiter was extremely polite and helpful.

Transport each one to north India with great energies, customs , culture , Music , Bollywood dances to enjoy authentic Indian cusine keeping Indian traditions in mind. A dignified, cultured and mystical place to enjoy with business groups to families to friends to the most loving person for a perfect romantic place where one can drink quietly in Kamasutra room to a private room for 8 heads to a open kitchen to a dance room to a room of god to room of Krishna for babies. A true Indian home where respect, service, humane values are the top priority for each cliente visiting mi casa. Namaste.
Let’s face it, Chilean food can become a bit repetitive after awhile. So it was an especially wonderful treat to eat at Jewel of India. The northern Indian meals were excellently and authentically prepared. We were thrilled to have such an outstanding dinner in Santiago. Many great options for vegetarians.

"Dreamed place" in Mapuche language or Mapudungun's. The result of a thorough investigation of Chile culinary roots, reflected in a menu that combines products, techniques and original preparations of the main pre-Hispanic cultures in Chile with a contemporary touch.
Can't rate it highly enough. Food, wine & service excellent ***** even if you don't enjoy some of the unusual flavours you must credit the restaurant with trying. Horse and rabbit are strange for a lot of people. I had starter and main, skipping dessert as 1) I 'm not really a dessert eater and 2) I don't think traditional Chilean food involved Ice Cream. Fabulously creative and tasty starters which I chose to combine with the breads that were offered. A little 'tea' to start followed by a tasty Mise en Bouche (still not sure what it was other than excellent). Punchy Chilean Carmenere and a free Pisco (straight) as I'd never tried it before. Eating alone can be trying but these guys were so attentive. I did feel rushed but as soon I asked for the meal to be slowed down they did exactly that. Staff superb. Chefs smiling. Enjoyable experience. Just remember it isn't Michelin starred as much as you may want to pretend it is. DO NOT treat these guys like they have 2 stars. They are fantastic and actually better than 2 stars because they are human.

Cafe de barrio con estilo propio de ambiente familiar y acogedor. Sandwiches gourmet, pasteles, waffles y postres, acompanados del mejor cafe y exquisitas variedades de te organico en el mejor lugar de Providencia.
We had lunch in this simple but beautifully decorated Parisian-style cafè. Pork ribs in a creamy mushroom salad, sautéed vegetables, fresh salad, fruit brochettes with ice cream. Quite delicious. Excellent coffee and -why not- a moist carrot cake. All locally made. There is a nice Terrace to the (slightly busy) street. Nice atmosphere, really good locally prepared food & pastry, top-notch coffee in a family run place, 5
stars no doubt!

Xoco Por Ti is a chocolate bar where we source the best single origin chocolates and prepare them as frappe, hot chocolate or ice creams.
We tried two different hot chocolates, but there was a variety of different milks, and also flavoured hot chocolates and other drinks, but on a cool winter's night, the hot chocolates were exactly the right temperature with the taste of the chocolate shining through. They also made us babycinos for the kids.

This place is a true tradition. I have been coming back here for years. Their emblematic Sandwich is the "lomito" and their fresh bread makes a big difference.
A lomito consists of pork loin sliced very thin and served warm with lots of trimmings. Among the classics you can choose just mashed avocado (lomo palta), avocado, tomato mayo (lomo palta tomate mayo), complete which includes sauerkraut, tomato, mayo (lomo completo), or lomo ensalada rusa (this is pork loin plus a thick sauce made with bits of ham, pickles and mayo).
Portions are large and mayo is slathered abundantly. If you avoid bread, you can also ask for their breadless version (al plato). It is good to know that it is becoming more common in Chile to ask for a bag or box to take the rest with you. This place is definitely worth a visit for a taste of local fare. Just keep in mind that if you go at lunchtime after 1pm it tends to be very crowded.
