The restaurant is in a residential neighborhood with very few tables inside. However, they make a great sandwich. Try the pastrami on rye bread with baby Swiss. Great place to pick up lunch on the go or takeout. Give it a try.

We occasionally have lunch at this eatery. The food is always good - especially the salads. The price is high-average but the atmosphere is friendly and modern. My one hesitation with this place is checking out the overhead menu, ordering at the counter, and carrying food to the table. When dining with my elderly parents, this venue is not friendly. Also, there have been times when there were no clean tables. With an alert to the staff, the appropriate maintenance was performed.

The prices and portions are terrible It is always teenage kids that seem to hate life that you deal with, they make you feel like you are an inconvenience. The nutty monkey is a good deal here, but that is it.Seriously though drive the extra 3.5 miles to Food and Ice cream in Fruitport.

Joe Chan himself is usually there, at the door. Excellent Asian and American food. The Hong Kong Steak is phenomenal if a bit pricey.

Once again my wife and I had a great experience here. This was probably our 6th time eating dinner here and every meal has been great. The white fish is awesome. The Berkshire Pork Tomahawk is awesome. Love this place. Service is always good. Great atmosphere. A must visit if you are in the area

Thrilled to learn that Brooklyn Bagel now offers almond milk as I am lactose intolerant and like my local coffee shop and not the big chain one. Thanks BB! Best bagels and coffee around hands down. Shop local. Keep your $ in Muskegon.

Best hot dogs and chili sauce every!! in the 27 years I have been going there I have never ordered anything except the Chili Dog Special ( 2 hotdogs chili cheese mustard onions pickles fries & a drink). I have used them to cater my son's graduation party, the drive thru is very quick, indoor service is very fast you will get your food in under 10 minutes. Restaurants are always spotless at all locations and the prices for lunch under 10.00. They close at 8pm Highly recommend for you to fall in love with this classic to Muskegon & Holland

I was very excited to learn that this totally gluten free restaurant/bakery is fairly close to my house. It is so nice to dine out without worrying about cross-contamination or asking about ingredients. I didn't have to grill the wait staff or kitchen staff and I didn't have to announce that I have a gluten allergy.
I would describe "Live Gluten Free" as a cafe. There are only about 7 tables. My husband I each ordered sandwiches and the pasta salad. The sandwiches were good, although the bread did have a tendency to crumble (gluten free bread often does). The pasta salad was great. The best part was the chocolate cupcake that I had. It tasted just like a normal gourmet cupcake!
The prices are reasonable considering that the ingredients are all gluten free. They are closed on Mondays and close at 3 on Sundays.

Stopped in for a hearty breakfast before heading over to Hoffmaster State Park for a hike after a long Michigan winter. The place had been recommended and after perusing the menu on-line and reading others' reviews, we were excited to go. It did not disappoint!
The place was bustling on this Saturday morning, but we were seated within 5-10 minutes. Even if we had a long wait, the comfortable seating and stacks of Trivial Pursuit cards would have kept us amused. Nice touch!
Our breakfast was delicious, service was great, and the place has a fun, whimsical Route 66-themed vibe. My husband and I shared a Monterey omelette (bacon, avocado, salsa, Monterey jack cheese) and an order of blueberry pancakes with bacon. We often like to both have some savory and sweet for breakfast, so this pairing was a perfect solution for us.
A few highlights to mention - the pancakes can be ordered with real maple syrup for a small up-charge. One of our family mantras is ALWAYS go for real maple syrup when available, it's totally worth it. Next, the toast that so innocently comes with the omelette (we chose sourdough) is not just any store-bought bread - it's from The Village Baker - one of our favorite places and recently voted the fifth best bakery in Michigan! The small offering of homemade jam that accompanied the bread was superb!
So all in all, Toast 'N Jams is the real deal, we will indeed be back!
