Java John's brought a real coffee shop to Northville. This isn't your chain coffee shop experience. good coffee, pastries and interesting people (locals and visitors) make this the place in the village for coffee. Free wifi also. Credit cards are not accepted.

Our family held a private retirement party for my husband yesterday at the Timeless Tavern. It was great! The restaurant owners were so helpful with our planning. The prime rib, chicken marsala, fresh vegetables green beans and potatoes , tossed salad and bread were so delicious. The restaurant looked so pretty. We eat dinner here often and have stayed in one of the rooms upstairs. I would recommend this place to everyone.

This tiny little house-like building is not a sit-down shop. Instead, you walk by the building and place your order from the side window, and they then hand your ice cream out to you. I had a cone of Kahlua Almond Amaretto, and WOW was it good! I don't know whether all their flavors are as tasty, but this was really something special. I would gladly go back for more.

A roadside restaurant in the Sacandaga River area, the Alpine is consistently excellent! Based on its location, one might expect a menu of meat and potatoes, but the menu is varied, and filled with original combinations and first class cuisine. I've been coming here for four years and I am always pleased. The specials are truly yummy, with an original twist to some classics. Thursdays are clam night and the house is always filled. Reservations recommended. Service is always with a smile.

Happy Hour dinner with live music tonight, had lunch with friends in July. Very pretty setting overlooking Great Sacandaga Lake. Innovative menu, some of the best wings we've had (boneles!!), and carrot cake was excellent. Lots of gluten free options in bakery. Accessible by boat.

I wanted to beat the traffic when traveling from Northville to New Jersey on a Sunday so I left my hotel at 5:45 am and found the diner to be open at 6:am. I was greeted in a friendly manor and struck up a conversation with two locals. I ordered pancakes with real maple syrup. They were cooked to perfection and delicious. They seemed very interested in my Cycle the Adirondacks week long experience and complemented the organizers indicating that the 300 cyclists who spent the night in Northville were very welcome. Based on my visit I highly recommend having breakfast even though I did not have lunch I would recommend going just based on my great experience.

I wasn't expecting what I got - one of the best pizzas ever! We got extra cheese and half mushroom and half eggplant and it was unreal, they are unbelievably generous with the extra add-ons and the taste was fantastic! and the crust was perfect... I would recommend the eggplant, it was sooo tasty. I don't live near there but definitely will go back if I get up that way again.

Had a truly good and very large chicken wrap with a salad and iced tea overlooking the Sacandaga Lake on the outdoor patio. This place has drink specials they are always pushing since it's known for them, apparently. As I was driving, couldn't go for any but they sure looked great! And huge margaritas! Live music from Thursday nights thru Sunday afternoons with all different genres represented. Looks like a hole in the wall when you drive into parking lot, with not much better decor inside. The covered tarped deck makes it all worth it with a great view of the lake. Very relaxing. Lake prices but the food was more than good and ample.
