We drove right by twice as the restaurant/take-out looks like a regular house sitting on the side of the road. I'm glad we persevered as we had one of the best meals of the trip here. The scallops (10) were perfect, lightly battered and fried...MoreThanks for the review! We actually have enough Seating for 21 people! We have 4 tables for 2 people, 2 tables for 4 people and 5 seats at the counter :) Hope to see you again sometime!

Nice atmosphere at this restaurant which is in the well established Clansman motel. Friendly staff provide advice on daily specials and favourites from their varied menu. Great seafood selections at very reasonable prices. Always an enjoyable meal especially their breakfast/brunch menu .

Restaurant clean and always helpful, friendly service. It is my go-to spot for delicious pizza as it's consistently hot and delicious, my favourite being the thin crust combination. As you can see from other reviews there's many other great items on the menu so it's easy to please everyone.

This has a variety of food and we ate there once while in town. The food is good and the service great.
This restaurant was recommended to our party of seven, for dinner before attending a concert in Sydney. Reservations are not taken, but we were fortunate to be seated right away, despite the restaurant, which seats only about 30, being very busy. The food was fantastic! The best meal we had during our six days in Cape Breton. Our server was great, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly, highly recommend!

This cafe is near my office. There are limited lunch options like daily quiche, and delicious home-made soup. I particulary love their Chai Tea Latte and a special tea called the "Black Fog". The sweets and pastries are very tempting, made by a professional pastry chef. I love the food, specialty hot beverages, and inviting vibe. You can even buy the creations of local artisans on site. Lovely little place. I hope that demand will allow them to expand their menu options. I will be back again!

We have visited this location many many times, however tonight has turned our stomachs on the place, waitresses too busy chatting to each other instead of servicing their tables. We were finished our meal before anyone came to see if our food was ok, no offer to refill drinks, we won't be back and we won't be recommending this place in the future!

No booze and a diner type restaurant. That's the only fault.
Best fries in the area, great deep fried shrimps, Cod, clams and a lovely fried scallops in the seafood platter. And the best pan fried halibut I've had in all of the east cost Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
Gotta try, but have a drink or some wine before you come.
Haven't even gotten to the home made desserts yet.
No booze, cash only, and spartan service and $16 pp great value.

Deli specializing in great sandwiches made from We smoke and cure our own hams, turkeys and Montreal style smoked meat,
This place has delicious gourmet sandwiches. We had ours on homemade sourdough bread. The sandwiches were huge. A meal for anyone. When we got there we also saw
these people also have a breakfast menu that we would certainly have taken advantage of. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We are Newfoundlanders that we’re stuck in North Sydney as weather would not permit the ferry crossing and I recommend this place to anyone, especially those in this predicament.
