Restaurant, Bistrot gourmand located at the foot of the tourist office. In fine weather, a pretty flowered patio extends your arms. Maitre Restaurateur since 2012, we are committed to renewing our menu with the seasons.
Great service, good French food and wine. Still a great chocolate mousse - which now has strong competition from the Black Forest gâteau ice-cream. Fish and meat dishes are seasonal and all have a local flavour.
A selection of fixed price menus and an a la carte - so something for everyone including children.

Good food, good service, lovely location overlooking harbour. We had a thoroughly good meal here, such that if we are back in Noirmoutier we would return to this resto rather than try another one (we just know we will get a good meal !!)

Had the most wonderful lunch here - my wife and I both chose the Plancha de seiches - an absolutely delicious bowl of cuttlefish, mussels, clams, chorizo, lardons, Noirmoutier potatoes and peppers. I've got to say it was actually the best seafood dish I've eaten in a long long time. In fact, so good that we came back the following day and had exactly the same thing again!
The staff as well were very friendly and helpful - we sat outside on both occasions so we could park up our bikes just in front and our little 2 year old could run around without causing mayhem!

The menu was a great experience with the regional specialties. Especially the starter, fruit de mer, is great. I liked as well the presentation of the dishes. Good wines for reasonable price.

We were looking for a Mussels and French Fries Restaurant.
We found this restaurant around Noirmoutier.
The restaurant is at the production plant.
Mussels are very fresh and well cooked.
It is very good to be at the plant.
Unfortunately the French Fries are not home made... It was industrial frozen French Fries... It is very bad...
In this area they are doing potatoes so it can be very easy and better to have fresh French Fries.
About the waiters they are so much professionals ... But we can excuse them as it is a restaurant at the plant...
If you want fresh Mussels go to !

If you want a menu rapide which is delicious and efficiently served, this is the restaurant for you. You're basically offered a very reasonable 22 euro menu which included delicious roasted clams, whole sea bass and good rumpsteak. The staff are young and helpful, and the restaurant can obviously fit in 2nd sittings given the rapid service. Only suggestions to make is offer the punters some decent vegetables. Why do french restaurants not celebrate their wonderful vegetables? We see them in the supermarkets and markets, but not one place in our 2 week stay in Brittany and the Vendee made a special effort with them. Pity the visiting vegetarian. This restaurant offered weird vanilla flavoured carrots and horrible mushrooms with their fish? Why - we want some lovely veg or salad please!!!!

Just had a very average meal - we have been to La Marinaire before. V busy at this busy port /sailing village, but food was pretty under welming. There was just no taste or depth to the food flavours - although the local cheeses and oysters were great.
Their strap line 'cooking of yesterday with the taste of today' must mean we are all used to bland food - which we are not!
Manic waitress also made the evening less than perfect - but the puddings were great. A bit disappointing and now off our island list. Needs to do better.

Would totally recommended this lovely restaurant to you. We both really enjoyed the lamb curry and croc monseiur...with a side of delicious salicorns. With super puds..cheese stinky and lovely, choc poi (a delicious cake) and a pichet of wine, we dined out for 65 euros. Tremendous value and a memorably enjoyable meal. Polite and timely service...but book ahead. A succession of excellent reviews means that it's not possible to ealk in - but do book a table...you will not be dissapointed. Even loved the bespoke loo artwork!

As we were staying at the hotel, we thought we'd try the in-house restaurant (although the town is only a stroll away). It was pretty much full which may have taken the management by surprise. On the positive side , the food and wine were reasonably priced, tasty and classily presented and the setting charming. But, although there seemed to be plenty of staff around, service seemed stretched. One poor waitress, who seemed to be doing most of the work, was not adequately supervised and kept delivering things to the wrong tables. Our main course went to another table who had ordered the same combination . So they got their main surprisingly early whereas we had a very long wait indeed ( during which the waitress tried to serve us our cheese). All was eventually well and we were offered a complimentary drink in recompense,so we went to bed on balance quite happy.
Unfortunately next morning, at checkout we found that the previous night's wine had "accidentally" been overcharged by Euro 11, exactly the price of our 2 "free" drinks. Call me cynical but, well...
