Once a shipbuilding city, Newcastle's flashier claim to fame is nightlife. Throw in a heap of premium restaurants serving foods from all over the world and it's no wonder young partiers choose to blow their hard-earned (or not-so-hard-earned) cash in Newcastle. While these amenities are certainly a draw for the hipsters and culture-seekers, it's the locals that make Newcastle a truly special place to visit. "Geordies," as they are often called, embody the pride, industriousness and resilient spirit of their city.

Friendly family run restaurant, with a warm atmosphere and amazing freshly prepared food. Great for any occasion so give it a try!
Happened on this restaurant after a poor experience at another restaurant in Newcastle. What a little gem..... great food, fantastic service and competitively price. We had the moussaka, chicken and baklava - all scrumptious and tasted authentic. Well worth a visit.

Lovely food at Affordable Prices, Warm Welcome & Fantastic Italian Music!
Saturday, 30th September, I invited my Italian Meetup group to Sapori for lunch.
What a great experience! The wide range of food was beautifully presented as you will see from the photos.
Lorenzo kindly put his Bocelli music on for us which enhanced the whole experience.
This cafe is a "Hidden Gem." Thank you to Lorenzo & his lovely staff for their warm welcome - the folded serviettes made it just SO SPECIAL!

Stylish Indian, high quality cuisine in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Many will be familiar with the original Simla restaurant which has been within our family since 1981. The Simla has now re-opened, totally renovated with a refreshed look and feel and an updated menu. Our cuisine harks back to long established and fresh ways of preparing dishes without any pretense or gimmicks. The menu is carefully crafted and reflects our deep appreciation of historically significant dishes from throughout the Indian subcontinent.
The staff are outstanding and the food is nice but far over priced. £18.00 for the mixed grill. 1 King prawn (menu says prawns), 2 small chops, 2 small pieces of fish and a small bowl of curry. £18 is alot. Also my starter which i did mention and they took off the bill with no quibble was not nice, the herbs were still powder and the prawns did not look like king prawns, more for a prawn cocktail., was not nice at all. I dont think i will go back as there is better places out there for alot less. the food is tasty, staff are fabulous and all in the place is lovely.

Headed up by 2010 MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Dave Coulson, the latest addition to the north east's hospitality industry, Peace & Loaf promises to be a restaurant unlike any other in the region. With over 13 years of experience holding many positions with various restaurants, Dave has an unrivalled reputation and passion for creating flavoursome and innovative dishes, which shows with the diverse menu and delicately decorated food on offer. Highlighting the importance of using only the freshest, locally sourced produce, Peace & Loaf will offer exciting, seasonal menus that will incorporate Dave's signature dishes. Heavily inspired by traditional British cuisine with Dave's own inventive flare, the meticulously crafted dishes will excite and intrigue even the most discerning of palates.
We visited as a family for dinner after local recommendation. The interior is a modern design, a few tables in the quiet entrance level, main area above and a quieter top floor.
Our dinner was delightful, starting with two unexpected amuse bouche, followed by a wide range of menu choice, with many vegetarian options, and every dish an unexpected combination of flavours supporting the main components of the dish. An innovative chef is a great asset to Peace and Loaf, and ensured that we really enjoyed this visit.

Excellent, cozy, friendly restaurant with a great choice of good food with a Sicilian slant. We had a range of starters and mains which were lovely. Finished with a Sicilian lemon sweet. Delicious. Very reasonable bill and service descrete but attentive. Highly recommend.

Ever since we opened our doors for the first time, it was always our priority offer the best of Anatolian Turkish cuisine has to offer, while making sure we reach people from all walks of life. We are rigorous about the use of quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, served with a smile.
Best Turkish in Newcastle they say and I wouldn’t disagree. Family visit this time again food excellent and service strong too. Chicken souvlaki chosen by my girls and thoroughly enjoyed, mixed grill for me fantastically cooked and presented. You must try this place.

1st authentic Lebanese restaurant owned by Lebanese
Well located and nicely decorated restaurant but no licence so its bring your own!
I went on a Saturday night and it was really packed out so you have to book!
The food was good , not great but the service was very poor and we had to wait quite a while.
I enjoyed it but would not rush back

I've eaten from here a couple of times when we've ordered takeaway. It has never disappointed. Really good portions and food is very tasty.
I'm gluten free so often the barrage of questions when ordering can be tedious. Not here! the menu is laid out so it tells you what is suitable to eat.
I personally recommend the Jafrezi. Absolutely delicious and has a nice kick of spice.
We've definately continue to order from here.
