Known for it's locally roasted coffee and espresso drinks, fresh scones, pastries, pastas, baguette sandwiches, pot pies, soups, salads, and funky atmosphere. During the Summer and Fall enjoy lunch or dinner on the outdoor patio, stop by for an Schells Beer or glass of Morgan Creek Wine, and some Bruschetta. Great food in an completely restored old town building, large open ceilings, exposed brick walls, lots of great character!
Amazing food and spirits shared with friends. Friendly service - Got to try the rosemary fries-
We enjoyed a lovely late afternoon sandwich/salads and drinks- great place to gather with a few friends
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Jordan took excellent care of us! Thanks Jordan

Great place for chicken and pizza! My favorite is the chicken and I always order extra so I have some to take home. Love the casual atmosphere and friendly staff! Prices are right with a fresh salad bar.

Donuts & Cookies. OK...I may be a bit biased as New Ulm is my hometown, however, since I was a child we have stopped there for donuts and to me - who has spent 11 years as a Long Haul Truck Driver..."they" cannot be matched.
Alway a table open if you wish to have a cup of freshly brewed coffee with your donut and visit with friends, or if by yourself to simply enjoy the amazing aroma of a real small town bakery. Great Place!!! Unless a diabetic. Then maybe "not so much." j/k. :)

My wife and I visited New Ulm, Minnesota and had dinner at George's Fine Steaks on a Monday evening. The place was quite busy, but able to accommodate us without a reservation. We found the setting to be upbeat and friendly, and the food quite good. My wife had a chicken dinner with fresh vegetables and wild rice, and included a robust vegetable beef soup made with large chunks of meat and vegetables. I had the "special," which included a small NY Strip, several tasty barbecue ribs, and breaded shrimp, along with a baked potato and soured cream. You will not leave hungry and the prices are reasonable.

I went there with some family for my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic and the wait wasn't very long despite the place being packed. The Plaza has a welcoming friendly atmosphere no matter what time of day it is and the wait staff is always energetic and polite. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The Green Mill New Ulm offers your favorite Green Mill pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and American entrees in a relaxing, fun atmosphere.
We are frequent patrons of the Green Mill restaurant and bar, especially during their happy hour. We are never disappointed at their service and friendly reception. Kudos to bartender and server, Stephanie, who always welcomes us warmly and attends to our group with a smile...MoreThank you, Bill! We appreciate the great review and we’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed our tasty food. We’re happy to hear you also received great service during your visit. We hope to have you back in again soon!

We thought that having lunch at the oldest bar in MN would be cool. It was more like, weird. The murals on the walls were interesting however the white vinyl tablecloths made it seem institutional. The female bartender was friendly and service was good but the food was not worth stopping for. Our family members a couple burger baskets which were made from the frozen "puck style" patties and lacked flavor. My chicken salad was bagged mixed greens with a couple cafeteria-like flavorless chicken strips (frozen food section of the grocery store) cut into pieces with a spoonful of sunflower seeds and croutons. Not what I had imagined. Stop by for a beer. Save your appetite for some other place.

Who ever heard of tator tot hotdish on a restaurant buffet? Only in Minnesota! The pizza was average but the fried chicken was excellent as was their take on the iconic Minnesota hotdish. The restaurant itself was too small to accommodate the crowds that frequent a pizza buffet but they kept the buffet stocked well. There was ample selection of food at all times. There was also an arcade that gave out oodles of tickets each time you played but they were out of stock of the higher numbered prizes so the kids ended up with the usual junk in large quantities.

Oktoberfest weekend, so was busy but no wait for a table. Had ribs & shrimp. Food came before we finished our salads. Had shrimp & ribs. A different sauce on the ribs, they were a little dry.
