Right in downtown New London is a brightly decorated place with very good and inexpensive Mexican food. Ingredients are fresh and the menu is extensive. My family's favorites are carne asada, carnitas and casada chicken fajita. Full bar and good margaritas also add to the experience. Worth the drive from neighboring cities.

The Dairy Queen in New London is one of my favorites. There is no indoor seating. It's not even open year round. You walk up to the window and order. The hot food selection is limited, but the ice cream is great. The people working are always trained very well and know exactly how to make everything.

First off whoever said their drinks are expensive must never leave New London. $5 for a large tub old fashion is not expensive and they are good drinks, not weak. So let me start by saying the drinks and people are great. The salad bar is a bit different as it is served at your table. There were two of us. We were served a large bowl of lettuce to share with three dressings and a relish tray and bread basket. Pretty basic stuff so not as good as supper clubs who serve a full salad bar but better than those who just serve a salad. The onion rings are fantastic. I had the prime rib which was great/done to perfection with lots of flavor. My wife had the broiled cod and liked it. I did not give them an excellent rating due to the lack of a full salad bar, place needs updating and my wife's food was just ok, not great. Prices for food are mid range.

Our family dined at The Waters last week for their Friday night fish fry, and we were very pleased with the bluegill and perch. The appetizers were excellent, too. Service was friendly and as prompt as possible, given the huge crowd. The waterfront setting was also very nice.

Our first visit to Bucky's found the restaurant dated but clean, food portions adequate, very attentive service w/frequent coffee refills. My "over medium" eggs were exactly the way I would make them at home but my husband's omelet was not a true omelet, but rather the ingredients were mixed into the eggs, cooked & then folded like an omelet. Unfortunately, it would seem that omelet making is a lost skill these days as we see this at a lot of restaurants.

Have gone here several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have been very pleased by the food and service every time. Breakfast was probably the best. I'll keep going back.

Located on North Water Street, this pizzaria is second-to-none.
We have been enjoying their delivered pizza for 20 years.
I don"t know what their "secret recipe" is, however, I had a supervisor at a job in Milwaukee who had taken the "challenge" and had lost...
Given the fact that he was from Milwaukee and sang the praises of our local hang-out is a testimony to its greatness!
I highly recommend it!

Do you love doughnuts but can't help but think about all those preservatives and additives and yuck that goes into most of them. Well that means you haven't tried Bults Bakery in New London. They have wonderful fresh doughnuts and you can taste the difference between theirs and the chain guys. Lemon poppy seed is my very favorite. Want cookies, bread, buns, breadsticks, they have it all and made fresh daily. We get all our baked goods from Bults.
