Chalandri's and Greek's taverns gem, Kitsoulas is an authentic representation of what Greek tavern is and where locals eat! Menu is pure Greek and visitor will enjoy the definition of delicious Greek cuisine and warm hospitality. Stuff is very helpful and attantant and will bring anything you ask in front of you quickly. We tried stuffed zucchini, Pastiche and beef fillet. I would advise you to call in advance and make a reservation as it may be crowded. Food is guaranteed to be delicious! Don't miss it!

Oroscopo is so far the best restaurant I visited in Athens. Food is simply delicious, super-friendly service and very reasonable price.

Wine Restaurant / Modern Brasserie / European Mediterranean cuisine / Creative Gastronomy / Fine Dinning
We had the Athens Wine Week Dinner and it was very good, particularly the wine pairing. A great experience was the Malagousia from Samotraki, an of-the-beaten-tracks wine displaying the typical blossom scent of Malagousia, but also an unexpected minerality and complexity on the palate. I knew Gentilini's Robola and the Muscat dessert wine from Samos already, but I was not aware of how well these wine go with the food that they were paired with. The (too young and therefore still a bit too oaky) Santorini wine also was an interesting choice. The food was great, beautifully arranged and displaying a great range of aromas, which were greatly harmonising with each other..
The ambiente is modern and a bit cool, but nevertheless cosy due to the very pleasant lighting, the music IMHO a bit too mainstream, but that's a matter of taste. Staff was attentive and affectionate, prima inter pares being the sommelière: extremely competent in her job and amiable as a person.

The restaurant's philosophy is clear and precise: years of experience, imagination and creativity seek out the best nature generously has to offer every season and evolve it into a faultlessly delicious result based on clean, authentic and imaginative dishes. The menu at Psomi & Alati changes every 2 to 3 months according to seasonally available ingredients.
To begin with, this is the 2nd time I dine at this restaurant, the 1st being in its very early steps. Comparing to this 1st, I consider it not that good. The place is nice, non smoking area exists and the service is great. There is an option for 2 people menu, 25€/person, which I think is a really good choice. However, we decided to proceed with different plates in the middle. The concept around every course seemed interesting, however the result was at many cases disappointing. Furthermore the quantity of the appetizers was really small. The house wine was really good. The prices are rather high.

The food is good and they have real nan bread instead of supermarket type. The vindaloo is on a par with the UK for spice although a little too sour for my taste. Starters were good. Service is cheerful but could have been a little faster. Well worth a visit. Booking is a must over the weekend.

Our tour guide brought us here because we wanted a non-touristy food experience. We couldn't have asked for a better place! From the moment we came in, the owner greeted us like family and showed us what was on the menu. He made some recommendations and everything we ate was fresh and delicious. We felt like locals and I wish we had a wonderful little neighborhood place like this in Dallas.
