Taking a light aircraft flight over the plains 200 miles south of Lima is the best way to appreciate the Nasca Lines, the World Heritage-designated geoglyphs etched into the stony desert surface. The creators and meaning behind these startlingly precise abstracts and animal figures remain a mystery, but their 1939 discovery launched a steady swarm of tourists upon this tiny town – accessible via bus from Lima, Cusco and Arequipa.

Since the year 2005 I have visited Nazca and I have always eaten in various restaurants here. The staff come and go, but the secret of La Encantada has to be somewhere deeper than the staff as it always offers a world class service and absolutely fabulous culinary experiences. It is like this restaurant would have a spirit of it's own - or then it is simply well run.
On the best location of Nazca, always clean and professional and year by year they keep their level of cuisine without exceptions. I personally do not know any case in 10 years with about 20 visits that anyone would have not been satisfied. We have to remember, that even it is a small town it has several excellent restaurants, so it is not easy to keep the top spot so long.
The menu has something for everyone and every plate is delicious.
La Encantada is a fabulous trip to the world of flavors.

Clasic in front of the bus station, we have good meal specialize in sandwiches, natura juices and drinks , we work since 1950 and we are the oldest in town survive for two generations, enjoy our confortable place and good service. We have the ancient peruvian coucine.
Their set menus and specials were wonderfully priced if you're on a budget. And, the best part was that it was delicious too! Complete dishes were priced from S/. 6-7 and all were very satisfying for a hungry traveler. We went early in the morning so it wasn't at all very busy but it also meant that they were just starting up their kitchen so a few of the dishes were not yet ready. Despite this, there was more than enough close alternatives that filled our tummies. In addition, it was located near the bus station and our hotel.

We stumbled across this and what a treat. Some of us tried local dishes whereas others went more western. We have all fallen in love with the soups here and whether it’s just vegetables or even quinoia. The pisco sours were generous and very tasty....MoreMuchas Gracias

The Touristic Restaurant “El Portón”, have the capacity of 250 people, located strategically in the City of Nazca. It counts with warm and pleased spaces and terraces. Our specially comes from fishes and seafood to our great grilled with a unique flavor and quality. You can also find pastas, regional food, chicken, and a wide variety of drinks in our Bar.
We had a good lunch in this restaurant after our flight. Beautiful authentic décor. Nice Peruvian meals with moderate prices. Good service. Free WIFI. All we need at that point. Only few tables were occupied on our arrival but friendly manners of the crew overweighted our concerns. This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and we were not dissappointed.

We ate at La choza a few times and always enjoyed the food, it was served hot and quickly. The prices are fair. The 'happy hour' Pisco sour was rather small so Stephen the boss made ours larger - which worked out more economical than two happy hour ones. Stephen speaks good English and is always ready with a welcome, a smile and happy to explain the menu.

The food was average though the portion sizes were on the larger side. The taste was reasonable and not necessarily extraordinary. The strange thing about this chain/franchise was that it felt like we had been transported back to a North American fast food joint. Teenagers working and the decor was particularly... McDonald's-esque. Not that it was terrible food! It was average tasty and we were served by young kids with the best effort in English. If you're in a bind, I would say this could do the trick but if you wanted to get a better and more authentic experience, check out some of the other restaurants in the area--afterall, Nazca isn't all that big.

Last March-2017-I spent a few days in Nazca and, excluding breakfast, had all my meals at this restaurant.I am happy to give it the highest recommendation. The staff were very friendly-in this regard I would like to pay tribute to Edgar and Nancy who made my visit each time a pleasant experience. The food was excellent-freshly prepared and nicely presented.I was recognised after my first visit-this is important to me.The restaurant is very central and is a very pleasant place to dine at.....top marks....10 out of 10.

Mom's Cafe was a door down from my hotel. I've had coffee, ice cream, burger and take out empanadas (for the bus trip back to Lima) at different times. All in all, everything went down smoothly - burger and chips was great (I had a craving), ice cream cooled me off, and the empanadas filled the spot on the bus.
