Great food in a pleasant garden setting. Eat outside if the weather is nice. The pasta with favs beans was delicious. Limited, expensive wine list. Good service.

Located in the heart of downtown Bay Street, Athena cafe offers the authentic greek cuisine with a Bahamian flare. Not only you can find the traditional greek favorites here but also Bahamian delicacies such as conch, snapper, grouper and lobster! We are a true, family operated business that want everyone to feel like family as soon as they enter. Have a choice to sit at our cosy bar, our air conditioned dining room or the lively verandah.
On our most recent cruise to Nassau, Bahamas in February, we made definite plans to visit Athena Cafe for lunch on our return to the ship......the location is very close to the port....and we had a delightful time......excellent food/servers and most importantly, excellent hospitality from the owners.....we will be back again!!!!!!!!!!! E'xochos!!!!!!!!

My son wanted to eat like the locals so we saw their sign on Bay St and followed it to the restaurant. First impression when you walk in is that this is no chain restaurant. Nothing fancy here. But oh was the food so food! The wait staff were so nice to us and accommodated us.

The food, atmosphere, and staff were outstanding. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a building complex near the Baha Mar. If you want outstanding food be sure to make the effort to find it! Best conch fritters and crab rangoon I've ever had.

We went here because we saw it on TripAdvisor and the reviews were good. Looking at the beach, the cruise liner across it is understandable that it caters to day visitors and to volume, which isn't bad at all but also understandable that quality and the hope for something "special" rather gets compromised for easy food which is able to be prepared fast. The menu is pretty big and you have a lot to choose from but at the end, the flavours are not as good as experienced at other places with less volume. The food comes out as it becomes ready, again nothing bad about that but lots of the fried food is very fatty, as of, the oil wasn't hot enough and the food just get drenched in fat. So you find the "typical" dishes but again, it gives you an idea of what it could be but there are other places much better. You pay prime location prices for less prime food options, therefore I wouldn't recommend this place to the ones having more than half a day time to explore Nassau and the amazing flavours you can find here.

Fine Dining Destination Weddings Events... Experience Sapodilla....
Be prepared to be amazed!
It started with James picking us up at our hotel for our free ride to the restaurant. He was great. We were greeted warmly and invited to have a drink in the lounge while our table was made ready for us. The servers are warm, friendly, helpful and willing to accommodate any allergies you may have. Food presentation is very pleasing. One of the best meals we have had anywhere!
You will not be disappointed!

Authentic Spanish Tapas, lunch and dinner
Last January I visited Nassau again, this time with friends. It was wonderful to see chef Werner and his crew again. Of course I had paella, my favourite dish. My friend had a steak, cooked to perfection. We came back twice and we loved every minute of it. Thanks Werner, I hope to be back soon.

I walked here while staying at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar (3 min walk out a side exit). Great little spot with music playing and locals hanging out. $10 got me a large (and strong) strawberry/banana daiquiri. It was great and loaded with fresh fruit, not syrup. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed because the cook was out of town for the holidays, but I've heard the food is very good as well. Definitely a quick spot to check out if you are close by.

When in Nassau port, you can watch your cruise ship and all the tourist activities nearby when sipping a drink or eating lunch here. Located on second floor with unobstructed harbor view and super blue ocean, the restaurant well worth a visit. Their bar is extensive, customers can have whatever they like. I had a fruit punch, tasted very nice. Wish we had time for early dinner, but we had to hurry to our ship.
