If you come overhere, simply DONT MISS IT. One of the best new Japanese Patissiers welcomes here in a café his aficionados customers. There may be some waiting que in rush hours but defintely dont hesitate in investing your time to taste Violet cake, incredible peaches or more classic chocolate pieces. A must try? FRAMBROISE/PISTACHE CHEESE MOUSSE. Heaven.

牡蠣シーズンに訪問。2度目の訪問です。
季節限定の牡蠣メニューを見ると、
牡蠣の天ぷら定食があったので注文。
牡蠣を大葉と一緒に天ぷらにあげてあり、
とてもジューシー。
中はとろっと美味しかったです。

バスダイヤが限られていますが、のんびり立寄るのに良いロケーションです。カフェの少ないエリアですが、ここはおすすめです。
美ら海水族館と比べられることもあるようですが、水族館も中々良いですよ。

I have been to this sushi place because of the local reputation as being one of the best sushi restaurant of Nanao! Yes, these 2 sushi chef brothers behind the counter provide a very refined-1/2-size-nigiri of the freshest fish of the day. Basically you have 2 choices of omakase menu: 2500 or 3000yen and you could still add any extra dish from your request. (I requested Sazae- turban shell). 90% of nigiri are already salted so needless to add soy sauce, just bring straight to your mouth and enjoy this adventurous taste of each creative pieces.
Very advisable to book in advance particularly for those who want to have a seat between 12-1pm or 6-7pm. Please note no one speaks English, so better to go with a local person that you know for any communication!

With the weather not so good we were wondering where to go for lunch and after doing some search found this sushi restaurant having a good rating in local websites. It was not easy to find as it was not near the Wakura Onsen or the JR station, but fortunately since we were driving it was ok for us.
The restaurant was surprisingly full on a normal working day in my opinion, and without booking we were fortunate that the staff arranged for us to sit in a small room, with good privacy. We ordered the chef's recommendation sushi set. As amuse bouche there is a prawn salad which is tasty.
Then the sushi sets arrive, with tasty, fresh assortment of seafood. There is a total of 10 pieces, so we had a decent portion and not feeling hungry at all. Accompanying the set there is a miso soup of fish head which is so sweet and nice, but you have to be careful when eating the fish head as there are bones which might not be so friendly for foreigners who are not used to that.
Overall a very good sushi place I recommend travelers.

The best hotel so far for good quality price.
Beautiful hotel design, loved the hotspring, the dinner buffet was just amazing with all you can eat beef and other food from all around the world. My room was a corner one, huge and so shinny. I loved the design of the entrance, outside, inside and the little cafe where we also had the bearkfast was a nive place to wait and chat with my friends.

I was looking to try out this new restaurant as it hasn't been opened too long so we went on a Monday night . Was quiet which we did not mind! We were able to sit close and watch where sushi were being prepared for orders. We were given our tablet so we could order our meals. Service was infrequent for a quiet night and they seemed to not have many dishes as a number of them are only available on the weekends which is a shame and was disappointing considering it was not noted when we ordered from menu! This is having to reorder as majority of what we wanted to try was unavailable! This I would recommend you go on a weekend instead of a weekday to enjoy all of of the choices without any disappointments!! Makis and sashimis were fresh and delicious. Great tasting kimchee and kimchee fried rice!! Also other stir fry and tempuras were good. Great choices of beers, wines and sakis. I would give this another try but on a weekend to see their potential so that isn't I only rated a 3*! Bon appetit!!

いつも行列が出来ているお店です。
ランチしか行ったことはありませんが、どの定食を食べても価格に対して盛りが半端なく多いです。
写真はおまかせ定食でお刺身の盛り合わせ、ブリの切身焼魚、トンカツ、茶碗蒸し、ご飯、味噌汁にお漬物が付いて1200円です。
お得過ぎです。

This is a Kaiten zushi (running belt) but here it is the Sushi chef in front of you who will prepare the sushi. Ask for the freshest sushi of the day (Yellowtail, local tuna, fugu, etc..) Anyway, in Nanao any sushi restaurant you go, it is a great experience. If you are starving for sushi upon arrival at Nanao station or if you have to be punctual to not miss you next train, this sushi restaurant should be the decent one as it is 2 minutes from the station!
