The place is a bit pricy but hands down the best place to eat, drink and spend some leisurely time in Manali. It's located in a quiet lane, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the Mall Road. You have to walk about 300 meters from Mall road through a rather dark alley to reach here. The place is warm and cosy. I visited in Feb which is a off season so it was not very crowded. They have a wide variety of food and a well stocked bar. The Trout Fish is a must try here. I recommend "Spiced Up Masala Trout". I had a really great time here.

The best pizzeria in North India, also serves wonderful European cuisine. Ideally located just across the stream from Old Manali.
Landed up on a December winter afternoon. Vegetarian only. Lovely decor. Soups, thin crust wood fired pizza were a delight. And served very quickly. The heating could be better. Just one heater in a corner. The main wood based equipment was not running. Though it was started by the staff for themselves mid way through our meal ! At 5 C you do need warming. The main door needs fixing. Every time someone went in or out it got opened wide. Not the most pleasant thing in winter.

Cafe 1947 welcomes you to the surreal Himalayas. The name of the cafe symbolizes freedom, as India got independence in 1947. We believe food and music are the gateways to the road of enlightening ourselves. That is why we endeavor to flavor you with the best of it.We provide the most exquisite Italian dishes prepared with ethnic Italian cheese and spices.Music nights are also routine.Live music is performed by professional musicians along the river. There are also live jam sessions from time to time with visitors from around the world joining in.
Went to this place on our way back from Manu temple. A friend had recommended this place to us.
Ambience is fantastic with Seating next to flowing Beas river and a lovely view. Staff is helping and courteous.
We ordered a spicy chilli pizza which was extremely cheesy and delicious. Had not come across a good pizza place for a while and our craving was well satisfied. In dessert we ordered tiramisu which is their specialty as mentioned by the servers. We highly recommend their tiramisu.
Dishes are definitely not cheap but completely worth every penny you spend!
Loved the place and the food!

Il Forno in Manali offers authentic Italian cuisine, served in an exceptional apple orchard setting with stunning views of the Himalaya. The cottage built Circa 1860 in the Western Himalayan Kathkuni architecture style has both indoor & al-fresco Seating. Wood-fired oven Pizzas & Calzones are our House Speciality, along with other traditional Italian dishes.
This is a italian restaurant that serves traditional italian dishes and one thing i like only here was their pizza and it was good and other dishes i didn't like that much and expensive place too.

Fat Plate Cafe is a family-run eatery located on the left bank of the River Beas. The cafe is a brick & wood building constructed over a 3 bigha plot of land, surrounded by lush green lawns and its very own herb and vegetable Gardens. The cafe seats 80 covers, the Seating is divided between the indoor lounge, the veranda and the two level of lawns. The cafe was born in 2012, promoted by the Gurung family who share a deep passion for food. Anubhav Gurung, the son, is the chef and in-charge of the kitchen. The food is the soul of the cafe; the menu is based around European and north Indian specialties. The chef believes in following the traditional cooking techniques and giving them his own flavour. The menu is based on the seasonality of ingredients and the chef works closely with his butcher and his gardener to finally decide what’s going to be on the menu. Rarrah meat, roast leg of lamb, bacon wrapped chicken with plum sauce and the mustard chilli trout are some of the top selling items. The cafe bakes its own breads and most of the herbs and the salads are grown on the premises. Most of the ingredients are sourced locally and are bought from the farmers directly.
Just back from an epic holiday and already craving the food we ate there already, especially that of @fatplatecafe . Their cuisine was finger lickingly good - fresh produce right from their beautiful garden made for one of the best salads we have had, the Sangria was pretty up there as well - the trend continued with the rest of the food we ate also - the mustard trout, ravioli done two ways, local cheese platter, potato and tomato rosti were all superlative. Me being the crazy dessert lady fell head over heels for their sweet treats - my favourite being their sticky date pudding but their homemade Icecreams were divine as well - the blackberry icecream is made from berries in their garden. Can't get better or fresher than this !

Definitely worth a visit. Home grown vegis. Very authentic ingredients. Ordered the Trout, Mutton Burger, Pizza. Everything was delicious. Owner personally takes the order and is hands on. I guess that makes the difference. Definitely worth another visit. Prices were also very reasonable.

I had some delicious spinach lasagna, freshly made with consideration for my allergies. Also some excellent mango cheesecake made from their own homemade mascarpone and fresh mangoes. Also a latte. The quality of everything was very high. I'll be back whenever I'm in Kullu for sure.
Although the location should be easy to spot, as it's directly opposite the Indian Oil petrol pump, there is no sign (there wasn't when I was there yesterday, anyway). I'd been there before, but didn't remember how the outside looked and I actually had to ask someone. The plain exterior and no lights on didn't make it look like a restaurant. I expect they will put up a sign soon.
I do believe the name of the place is actually Maitri Point, not Maitre Point.

There is no substitute for freshness when it comes to Coffee! Hence, we only serve freshly roasted and freshly brewed coffee. We bake our pastries daily at the cafe, offer awesome hotdogs, and if you are in the mood for something cold to drink, we also have Italian sodas, Iced teas, and of course, a great Iced coffee! Kilta is the local basket made out of bamboo that is used by people in Himachal Pradesh for various purposes, like carrying fruits, wood, fodder, etc. or used as containers for grains and food items. We greatly admire and respect the hardworking people in this state, where we are, hence, we have named our shop KILTA Cafe.
Enroute to Manali from Sterling we would pass this cafe on the road daily...and then stopped over for a coffee. And what a treat- great coffee, and great accompaniments. Must say that for a road side cafe this ranks amongst the best. Thanks for stopping in guys! Keep watching our humble Kilta Cafe as I hope, one day, to have a cool 'non-roadside' place! ?
