Nacka is the municipal seat of Nacka Municipality and part of Stockholm urban area in Sweden. The municipality's name harks back to a 16th-century industrial operation established by the Crown at Nacka farmstead where conditions for water mills are good. However, and somewhat confusingly, that spot is not densely populated today and the municipal seat is on land that once belonged to Järla farmstead on the other side of Lake Järla.

Wedholms Fisk has been in its current location by Nybrokajen since 1985. Many of the staff, both amongst the pots and pans as well as amongst the tables, have been there since the doors were first thrown open to the first expectant guests. However, this does mean that time has stood still - the kitchen gleams with newly installed top of the range equipment and an inspiration to keep abreast of developments in food and cuisine.
Very friendly professional waiting staff. All requests were accommodated without any friction. Food was delicious and with good presentation. Highly recommendedThank you so much for your kind Words. We hope to see you back with us soon. Kindest regards Hélène and the Staff

This is a local chocolate factory that has a branch in Eriksplan. It has chocolate bars, bomboms, nuts and dried fruit covered chocolate, petit fours, pastries and coffee. The prices are good given the quality of the products. I had all 4 petit fours: Jodgubb Meringue, Hallon, Mocca and Citron Meringue. At SK25 each (and they are rather large compared to a regular 'fun size' chocolate), they were ok although the filling was rather average (my favourite was mocca). A large box of bomboms is about SK499 and SK95 per 100 gr (about 8 bomboms, but they are much smaller than the petit fours).

A new take on Nordic food
A true gastronomic adventure with innovative taste combinations some of which worked better than others. The two pancake courses had a real wow factor as did the langoustine, beetroot and marrow, and initial mushroom consommé. Overall despite some courses working better than others the food scores a ‘five’ but overall rating of 4 reflects very disappointing paired wines. These were over priced at in excess of SEK1000 per person and did not excite in the same way as wine parings have done at similar establishments. A bottle of champagne would have been a better decision.

I am from Greece and usually I avoid eating in Greek restaurant in other countries... This time I have made the best choice. The bread, the salad with halloumi and mushrooms, the soft and delicious Angus steak, all perfect. Last but not least, the Greek stuff, the Greek hospitality, "philoxenia" as we say.

My wife and I booked Ekstedt after seeing it featured on MasterChef a few years back.
We were both intrigued about the cooking over fire only concept.
All we can say is it is well worth the hype.
They offer either a 4 or 6 course meal with option of matching wine.
Every course was outstanding, with even some of the inbetween courses exceeding the set menu dishes. The only thing I would say is for the price I think they could five slightly bigger portions.
The wine pairings were also excellent with the sommelier not afraid to top up your glass.
Don't make the rookie mistake i did with the digestifs. They are priced per cl. So a Japanese whisky which i thought cost 45krone was in fact 180krone.
Overall the four course meal with matching wine, coffee and whisky + tip came to 3800krone (approx £340) which whilst expensive is well worth it

We serve genuine traditional Swedish food in a cozy atmosphere. We are a family run restaurant near the Royal Palace.
Of the several cosy and popular eateries on the lovely old cobblied Osterlanggatan in Gamla Stan, this simple Swedish bistro stands out as an authentic, welcoming and good value contender. No bookings taken so turn up before 7pm and wait with a drink at the bar ... they will squeeze you in. Nice friendly genuine service ... honest, tasty, fresh, well-prepared Swedish fare ... simple but warm and atmospheric ambience. All you could want for on a frosty night in the Old Town. I particularly enjoyed the three types of pickled herring starter and the grilled salmon ... perfect!

Given its good reviews in TripAdvisor, I decided to go to this restaurant walking 30 minutes with my luggage. It is worth mentioning that that was a good decision. I am happy I could try real Swedish food. The meatballs where delicious, the meal was super cheap and the salad, bread and dessert was included. Whenever I go back to Stockholm, I will indubitably repeat. Furthermore, the owner was more than kind with every customer.

I've must have put on a good few pounds lately, as I've been enjoying some wonderful and amazing cuisines of Europe, during me and my wife's long holiday. We dined at this wonderful restaurant in Stockholm, at the start of our short visit to Sweden. We were warmly greeted on our arrival, as we were led to our table. After dining here, the food that we had, was of a very good quality, as everything was so wonderfully seasoned to ensure fresh and natural tastes and flavours. The food here tasted so fresh and authentic, there really was a sense of the taste and flavours of Sweden being served direct to our plates. The aromas of the dishes, so strong and beautiful ,really made it known that we were definitely in Sweden. The service was good with lovely waiting staff. Overall this was a very good start to our visit to Stockholm and Sweden, and we left happy with our experience here.
